It discusses the Scorpio / Taurus axis with an emphasis on Scorpio, but not specifically in the context of the nodes. Still, I think it describes the axis well and provides the type of general info you’re looking for. Looking into the axis with the emphasis on Taurus may be helpful too. If the SN represent habits and default behavior, researching this aspect from the Taurus perspective may give you the understanding you’re looking for.

It’s funny that I have Taurus NN and Scorpio SN which is the opposite of OP lol. I also have a packed 8th house. Scorpio to me is the sign where we learn the meaning of intimacy, deeper connections, the underlying dynamics of interaction and bonds.
Taurus is about our own values, living and material life. Scorpio is the opposite, the values between people and how they interact and related, how we inherit them from each other, what it means to connect deeper. When we connect we become vulnerable to each other. What do we do with such power over each other? Do we use our bonds to nurture or control each other? Why do we do or feel what we do? How do we affect each other?

I feel that Scorpio being my SN carries such lessons. Yet they are not to be forgotten. I should head towards Taurus and learn to enjoy life, what it means to be alive and be in the material plane. To have my own values. Having possessions doesn’t mean being materialistic, I can focus on being glad to enjoy life.

I value simplicity and self sufficiency. And this is my approach to handling my finances.I like it when money talk is understandable and simple. No funny fine print.

With North Node in Gem in 2nd, the challenge in life is to take the information complexity and verbosity about investment plans, security sustainability, income stability and make it simple and understandable.

In fact this does not pertain to finance only but all information of interest and value to me i.e I must be able to fully comprehend what is being said read etc. And be able to have a mental picture of what that means

Gemini/2nd is about simplifying information or making information easily understandable.

With Scorpio NN , I would imagine your approach opposite to mine.

You may be fascinated or intrigued by complexities, puzzles, mysteries, hidden things or that which is not easily understandable.

Here looking beyond surface value, following complex patterns, reading between the lines and trusting your instincts is key.

I love to dive into the human psyche!! I am not afraid of mental darkness, pain, problems or other things that might scare a human into depression. In fact, I like to head straight into it! I also love tangible luxuries and I would qualify as being a quality snob.

I’ve read a lot about the Scorpio node in 3H and it’s always mentioned that instead of fleeting around world being stubborn, one should stay in ones “neighborhood” and be close to people there. I think I get the idea behind that because I do have itchy feet and like to take off whenever I can but it doesn’t really serve me any purpose one way or another. Problem is: I don’t like being close to people that way, not even my family. I just like the human mind, so not sure I’m on the right track here..

Gemini by nature is very curious. Its curiosity taking the energy further and wider-if not physically then atleast mentally. So I don't see how this sign could be stimulated by grandma local post office's 100th birthday?

You and I have common goals in as far as the Nodal axis suggest.

The meeting of your NN in Scorpio with SN in Taurus is connected to simplifying (Taurus) complexities (Scorpio).

Your interest in puzzles could lead you into a rabbit hole that has no bottom. This is the dragon head(NN).

But all life is connection and as human beings our desire to collectively move towards evolving, is our shared trait i.e we don't want to evolve alone as if we do, who are we going to relate to.

Life is just less fun with no one there to relate to and that is the cause of all loneliness and sadness in the world. Feeling "alone" -despite there being billions of us on the planet.

Now the tail( SN)of the dragon's head reminds us of this circle or loop of consciousness that we evolve through collectively or that need to connect.

So once you are busy with finding puzzles and investigating great mysteries(Scorpio NN) , the dragon tail (Taurus SN)lures you back to explain to the everyday person who has NOT your instincts for mystery nor the same emotional resources for uncovering what lies beneath, the findings that you have made.

So your challenge of NN in 3rd house is in doing what I as NN in Gemini am also tasked with i.e bringing all that information and making it understandable to the everyday person.

News(Gemini/3rd house domain) has no impact or is confusing if its cryptic, mysterious, complex , layered and open ended(Scorpio NN). It has to be tangible, simplified and relatable so that the bigger picture/crux of the matter can be clearly discerned(Taurus SN in 9th).

The question you could always be asking yourself when explaining things to others is; how do I put this in a way that simplifies the bigger picture?

You could do this in a number of ways that puts into focus the 9th house themes i.e you could teach, you could broadcast/publish your findings, you could conduct interviews to discuss your findings.

Whatever the avenue, the idea is to get it out there to everyone (9th) AND making it simple to understand(Taurus).

This could also suggest that you could use more traditional channels(Taurus) to reach a wider audience(9th) i.e. mainstream media that is not too technologically sophisticated or complex.
