“I'm a huge mama's boy. I'm, you know, very close to my parents. All my life, I have always been taken care of. I was a little bit spoiled as a kid. I had a great childhood. I think that's kind of translated into, you know, how I am now. I just love to have someone there.“I feel identified with that and I have Moon in Cancer like him (he is Gemini and I'm Pisces, almost same degrees) but... I know some people with Moon in Cancer that doesn't have/had a good relationship with their mothers. In fact, I think he is the only one who is like me? I was very close to my mother and I had a great childhood. IP: Logged |

I don't know what to specifically tell you but I'll try.Realistically, that's a bit vague to deduce a moon sign off of. Do you know what day he is born? Was the moon in that area of the zodiac at his birth? You know, the Gemini-Cancer-Leo area? If so, then yes I would say he is most likely a Cancer moon. I think Leo moons are more of daddy's children and Geminis seem to be more of either way tbh. Granted, I agree that most Cancer moons seem to have some sort of problem with the mother figure in their life. Maybe the mother figure is very loving but she passed at a young age. Perhaps the mother is someone the native enjoys being around but sometimes never has the time to be. The mother figure might have something going on their personal life that is making it hard for the native to help out with, despite loving them very much. The mother and child may have been separated on more than one occasion, much to the child's dismay and frustration. It's not always something bad and dramatic, but there is always something with Cancer moons and their mother. I don't know what it is exactly and why it is like that but I also noticed this. Maybe ask for his birth time? Haha if it's not too frightening. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the reply! It is interesting. And, yes, no problem! Haha. I don't know his time of birth... But he was born on June 11, 1994 . IP: Logged |

I had made a comment about this before , I have a moon in Libra which is relationship oriented and about other people.I am not sure what my mom should have been like for me to have a moon like this but as a child my nurturing was left for me to nurture myself as my mom was sick , most of the focus was around her. So I think I had a moon in Libra because I had to focus on others vs myself due to the disfunction in my family and my mothers illness vs having a Libra like mom. Does that make any sense? i think it is good that you had a great childhood but I have heard some Cancer moons talk about their mothers being somewhat cold and I think they had a Cancer moon to nurture etc due to the fact of wanting to be opposite of how their mothers were. Based on the birth data Mecury/Venus are in Cancer atleast.Sun-Venus-Mercury are parallel. This suggests he loves expressing himself or talking about himself. The personality expresses itself creatively through words or relating with others. With Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn gand trine in water, this would have him be a sensitive person. Saturn in Pisces though would hold him back and have him appear more stable. I suspect the Moon is in water sign Cancer no matter the time too. And it likely also makes a grand water trine with Jupiter and Saturn-adding to the grounded persona. IP: Logged |

Curious. My brother has Moon in Libra and he had to take care of himself too while being younger than 18. I hope my English make sense . Thanks for your reply!

Thanks for the reply! He has Moon in Cancer, no matter the time, 00:00 am 10 degrees / 23:59 23 degrees. Interesting 🤔. I think I don't have that but I identify with him in more than one thing but specially when it comes about our mothers. IP: Logged |

Nah, that's way too vague and general. All you can say is strong Moon positions, Cancer placements or 4th House!I'm Cancer Moon and as independent a person as they come. I'm close to my Mom but I've never been spoiled. Now if he has Jupiter in Cancer and you think the Moon could be conjunct or square we could add a little more potential to the Moon position. ah I've just scrolled down...11th June 1994. Hang on doesn't that definitely show Moon in Cancer anyway? Haha...and Mercury and Venus in Cancer! One of my little tricks is to talk about the fact I was born at 11:20 in the evening and always 'wake up' at that time. All true, and often people will tell you what time they were born too.. ;-) ------------------ blog: http://waxlobster.blogspot.co.uk/ New horoscopes just posted for January to March 2018!!! I wouldn't say it's strictly the mother in all cases. I would say some strong attachment to family in general or the home rather than one parent or the other.A male friend of mine with a Cancer Moon grew up in a house where both his parents were very involved in the family business to the point where he was practically raised by his nanny. His home was very basic and the rooms were littered with boxes of old paperwork and work files. His mother is very stoic and definitely not the maternal type. He himself however is a very family oriented person and loves children. He would go above and beyond for the people he loves. A very sensitive soul. IP: Logged |

All the Cancer Moons I have met have very loving, warm and healthy relationship with their parents, especially their mother, but never overly attached. On the other hand Scorpio Moon indicates issues with the mother. Moon rules Cancer but is in detriment in Scorpio. IP: Logged |

MilaBirkin, as you can see from the varying responses, Moon in sign is not enough by itself to tell what the relationship to mother or parents is like.Plenty of people have Moon there -- plenty of males who are definitely not mama's boys -- and others who have friction with their mothers. You'll probably find it in the aspects as others have suggested, possibly aspects with Jupiter. With Moon ranging 10-23°, early in the 24-hour period it was trine Jupiter 5° Scorpio, and even longer was conjunct Mercury 8° Cancer. Later in the day it was conjunct Venus 26°. So there you have it. Either way, there was a Moon aspect with a benefic. Also the Moon appears to be trine Saturn 12° Pisces most of that day. That can indicate stability in relation to the parents and family. ------------------ Soul Stars Astrology - by the declinations guy Declinations: because the planets move north and south of the celestial equator IP: Logged |

Thanks for the replies! I really appreciate them . Cancer has to do with the family, especially the mother. The Moon rules Cancer. I thought it was general knowledge. I mean, you have to see others parts, like the aspects and house... But still. IP: Logged |

But the thing is that I identify with what he says and I don't have the same aspects he does! I only have Moon in Cancer like him. IP: Logged |

This. I know about a girl, she doesn't have a close relationship with her mother but she does have a close relationship with her grandma. Cancer always has to do with family and family don't end with blood. IP: Logged |
