hey all

I can not get an accurate chart because I do not have my birth time.

My mother supposedly does not know what time I was born. (makes me wonder if I was adopted)

Anyway. How can I figure this out or what do I do to get a close to accurate chart?
=====================

Almost everything I try to do is a challenge. I could go to the grocery store for milk or bread and they would have none. Ask for water and there'd be a sudden drought. I need to figure out what's up with my chart.

I feel your pain.

People not having accurate birthtime is actually quite common in my country. So is having an inaccurate birth time-which is like having no birthtime at all.

Ask Kannon Mcafee for assistance. He is on here often and can also be Googled

If you know well astrology you could try to figure out your birth time (your ascendant, and then to be more accurate you could guess some planets in houses)...
For houses, you could for example read descriptions of a planet in houses, for example Neptune, and try to know in which descriptions you identify yourself : two or three (or more) houses in succession because there is your natal neptune and the transiting planet. Do this for Neptune and Pluto. If your natale Neptune is in your 5th house, and used to be in your 6th house, for example, you identify yourself with neptune in 5th and you tell yourself "I used to be like Neptune in 6th house"...
You could do this with descriptions of planets on astrotheme.

I started off with doing what arcturus 90 suggested. But that was when I didn't really care to know what my Asc sign is.

Problem I encountered with that approach however was that I really identified with Mars in 3rd whilst distancing myself from Mars in 6th.

Turns out I was the former and not the latter. The identification with Mars in 3rd was because of natal Mars square Mercury.

Point is that there is bias towards certain planetary positions and a tendency to overidentify with a certain placement because it puts you in a favourable light.

An instance would be someone with Sun in 12th conjunct the Asc. They will normally want to ignore or overlook the 12th house association with the Sun because of its less glamorous interpretations than Sun in 1st.

You might have to pay in some cases to find it.

I'm not sure in which country you live, but you could try ordering a copy of your birth certificate. I know you can do this if you live in the U.S, but I don't know about other countries.

Guys I appreciate your input.

The country I was born does not record birth times.

I will try your suggestions though.

awww no! They don't record it?

Do you know if there's a baby-book, or journal that your mom (or relatives) may have kept? You could find birth-times in those?

What country were you born in, Iola?
(or is your name Lola? with a small letter L)

In the USA, I believe that you can find a copy of your own birth record either through the hospital you were born in, or, the county records. (Find your county government address, or give them a call and ask how you can apply for it.)

There are 3 kinds of record-certificates they can send you...

One is a wallet-size card.
One is a 'copy' without birth time.

You MUST directly REQUEST the copy of your Certificate that has the TIME recorded on it, or they will send the more generic copy.
(Happened to someone I know. They "forgot" to specify they were paying for a copy WITH time of birth.)

Birth certificates now have JUMPED UP in price, in some localities. Even as much as 80(USD)? Outrageous.

If you have a cousin or relative still in the region you were born in??.... You could offer to pay their Lunch, if they'll go eyeball your records for the purpose of making note of your Time.

This would specially apply if you know your birth certificate NUMBER registered.

Give them the number off your Certificate... so they can directly look it up, and find your Birth Time for you.

Sometimes, if you 'just explain' you need the time, maybe someone in the office (or hospital) can look it up-- especially if you already have a Copy, AND your picture ID?

(You might not get anywhere with someone who has a bias against astrology, though?, if you were to mention that as a 'purpose' for wanting to know your Time of Birth. You might have to get Creative with a reason?? ... oh my.)

Your MOM(whoever) might still have the "Original Copy" in her possession.
(The color they gave the birth moms, used to be 'pink'.)

It's the ORIGINAL copy that has the time recorded on it.

When you send away for the copy, you MAY have to specify that you want a copy of the ORIGINAL from the birth.

My mom was into Astrology, so she was watching the clock.
