I don't know if you heard of what is happening in my country(South Africa). But I found the astrological part of it so fascinating really. Our current President was forced to resign amidst calls from the opposition citing 'vote of no confidence' on his leadership style.
What was very unique about this event was that he didn't fight or oppose anyone. He just decided to heed the calls and made an announcement to leave.
Perhaps he was coerced? But nevertheless, he is no longer the President of the country and everyone who once was behind him, has distanced themselves away from him.
The transit:
Pluto 20 Cap trans square natal Sun Aries 21 Deg.
Pluto comes with a force/heavy momentum and its square to the natal Sun suggests to me that even if he didn't agree with what was happening, he was forced to just 'go along' .
If he claims that he was bullied and faced much threats /intimidation from people above him, this transit certainly supports it.
(Ironically enough our new stand-in President Cyril, has Sun/Moon square Pluto natally)
Uranus 25 Ari conjunct Sun 20 Aries
This speaks of his sudden removal; before being able to finish his term in office as President. The orb is wider than I expected.
But then again perhaps the Uranus nature defies rules and does the unexpected especially when one thinks the threat of disturbance is over and passed, it comes back to bite them in the ass?
trans Neptune in Pisces 13 conjunct natal Moon 14
Neptune has a tendency of having us confused and not fully comprehend what is happening around us.
Things could be gravely serious, but the nebulous effect of this transit curtails the gravity of the situation until after the fact.
Our former president certainly feels blindsided by the turn of events. When suddenly those who said that they would "die" for him and supported him full force, now are putting the nails in his premature coffin.
But what is of interest to me is the current Jupiter-Sun conjunction in Cancer in the progressed chart. As well as the progressed Moon in Sag 17 opp natal Jupiter 17 in Gemini at the time when he decided to resign(15 Feb 2018)
Why would Jupiter be strongly conjunct his progressed Sun in the progressed chart and the additional Jupiter/Moon connection from the progressed(Moon) and natal(Jupiter)be so exact at a time when it seems like his life is falling apart?
This would be explained of-course , if we are to discern that Jupiter perhaps works inwardly and says to him "let go. and don't fight anymore".
Yes, he is angry. His progressed Moon opposed natal Mars in Gemini definitely feels the hurt and betrayal of what is transpiring.
But I think it is the overarching effect of Jupiter-Sun in the progressed chart as well as Jupiter/Sun progressed chart trine natal Venus that has him just let go.
Ironically, it was way back in 2009 when trans Uranus was square his progressed Sun and trans Neptune square his progressed moon, that he had the whole country at his feet.
Even trans Saturn square his progressed Sun could not dent the optimism that people had on him. They were willing to support him throughout his corruption charges(Saturn).
Point I was trying to make here with all this rambling lol is that Jupiter does not always manifest externally as something "good" at first.
Sometimes it works more internally i.e being fired from a stressful job during a Jupiter-Moon transit may not make sense, but perhaps there is peace to be had afterwards as now you draw a close on a difficult time and can give yourself the break you need etc.
