When I was kid, I had a blue bicycle. A two-wheel 26" inch bike from JCPenney, that was a bit high for me, but would grow into it. I crashed it a few times learning how to ride.

The handle-bars had a problem. Somehow my dad couldn't 'correct' the problem. It wouldn't stay fixed. The steering was pointing at a slight angle to the left, while I was peddling to go straight ahead.

I learned how to "use" the bike I had, to drive straight, while my handle-bars were maybe 10-degrees off at a crab-angle to the left.

I gained a way of how to 'coordinate' everything that was not-centered.

You already know that I prefer Placidus.

AND, part of my reasoning for that is that THIS house format was what I 'learned' from the beginning. What you stick with, and learn in a kinesthetic way (from practice), hones your intuitive abilities.

Some of the astrologers of old, used other other systems, and it worked for them.

There were some that preferred Koch for predictive work.

Rudhyar preferred Campanus.

Some measure Ascendants from the equator, others from latitudes born within.

It's all 'what you train with' ...
Like my funky unique "bike-system" .. that my dad really really tried to 'fix' for me!!! but it wouldn't hold.

Does a person "entering" a house only enter when you see him in close proximity or when he opens the door?

For me that has been the question with regards to transits. Especially those that are out of sign.

It is really up to your own personal preference.

Mars in Sag in 1st is supposed to give you a "get up and go" attitude to life. Great for initiating new things and starting over.

I tore apart lampshades and used the wire metals to "make" wheels.

I used clear-incandescent bulbs in dark navy lamps to "project" on my ceiling that hoops and thirds and quadrants. I'd put little objects on the wires to represent planet bodies.

I bought school-type planet decals, and pasted them all around me.

I made geometry decals out of brilliant colored post-its.

I had astrology PLASTERED all around my room, I would try to 'move' my body around like transits!!!

Hard yarn connecting things ... looked like Halloween ... all the filaments like spider webs.

I REALLY TRIED to "body" my learning, all the way.

Get your arts and crafts kits out.
Put down your techy-screens,
and REACH for real at the Stars .

Go dimensional. I highly recommend it!!!

Some of those have a modifying effect in our charts. Maybe like, it will repress the action of some things, and bring highlight to something else (that was maybe minor) in your chart?

All depends on 'what you feel' by instinct and intuition.

Depends on what energy you need most? ...

And sometimes!!, we are trying to 'second-guess' what or how the transits will affect and do in our life. The "words" the key-words get 'revealed'. These are just "containers" ... We have the thrill of finding out HOW it applied to our lives.
