I have Mars in Libra and I struggle to understand why I don't get satisfactory sex?

Either I come out of sex feeling 'cheated" like my needs were not met. Or I am simply unable to just enjoy it.

Its lead me to avoid sex or intimacy because I find no pleasure in it beyond the fantasies I create in my head.

My Mars is in Libra sextile Jupiter in Sag. Its conjunct the DSC.

Mars is said to be in "detriment" in Libra. Could that mean that sexual confidence is missing?

Because I have come to understand that Sun Aqua tends to suggest self confidence/self esteem is an issue(especially if Sun is in the 2nd).

Thing is that when I am with my partners, they often comment on how "pleasurable" the sexual experience was for them with me. And I don't lack confidence in taking charge.

But often afterwards I just smile politely and feel robbed most times; because I didn't get to enjoy it as much as they did.And in some instances I even fake it

I would love to explore this topic deeper though with Mars in Libra/Sun people alike. What turns them on? What gets their fire going and what keeps it burning etc.

I am really quite a sexual person in my head and in my heart.I feel great passion and get turned on by attractive people I see easily.

But its the translation to actual physical consummation or manifestation that is tricky i.e There is always that lingering state of detachment that makes the actual bonding non-existent. I feel it all the time in sex.

Self-pleasure is most satisfying for me.But it isolates others & makes them seem irrelevant to the most integral part of the coupling.

I also have Uranus in 8th. So I guess having Mars conjunct the Dsc and the ruler of the 5th house cusp(Sun) conjuncts Neptune may suggest that having the lonesome planets Mars/Uranus and Neptune involved in intimate houses 5th,7th and 8th could mean that I don't get to enjoy sex as others do? Don't know

I am not an astrologer, but am very passionate about astrology.

The two areas I'm most interested in are the Nodes, especially in relation to soul progression and life purpose; and I'm also really passionate about asteroids.

I particularly enjoy using the nodes and asteroids in synastry, especially alongside picking through the natal chart issues.

I am trying to find more depth and hidden positives in astrology. Seemingly negative aspects that shouldn't/wouldn't/couldn't get on well, could perhaps be pivotal in many ways to creating harmony with others and the self. So even if something looks hard, like it won't work, or is generally bad, perhaps those aspects are exactly what's needed for something greater - something higher. Friction and boundaries are there exercise us and break us, rebuild us, make us stronger, and learn to break the boundaries. Positive aspects are nice, but they're more obvious. I want to know what's more hidden in astrology - how every single possible "bad" thing is maybe needed to create something completely beautiful, like an chemical effect. I want to know how it is all connected in a greater sense, and see the whole mosaic, so to speak.

In having seen a 7th house Libra Mars play out for a man I know, I can tell you he probably feels the exact same way (as you so eloquently put into words).

I think for him, in life and in general, there is a constant struggle for balance and "fairness" which plagues all areas of his life. Not even in a sexual context, but in his relationships with everyone. If he doesn't feel like he is getting back what is he putting out, he feels cheated. There seems to be little place for "selfless-ness" in his life. I have tried to explain to him that sometimes in life you have to give without ever expecting anything in return, and he seems to struggle with this concept.

Sexually, I can see the dissatisfaction being present if there is not total reciprocity in the bedroom with a partner. The good news is his partner will never be left unsatisfied, but is it enough for him? Fantasy is also huge as it helps to create the excitement is his mind. It's not a very earthy desire to touch, feel, etc. but almost like the act has to be a scene out of a romantic movie. I can see the detachment that follows this because he can get so wrapped up in his head (making it so movie-like) that he forgets to focus on his partner in the moment. That's where his ongoing love for self-pleasure comes in because he is independently satisfied (there is no worry about reciprocity or the lack thereof) and the fantasy component is met. He is a very sexual person as you seem to be, but struggles with the real-life application of it. It's almost as if his ideal sexual partner would be as detached as he is with the same if not bigger aim to please as he has.

I have Mars semisextile Venus natal. And Saturn conjunct Venus.

Do you think that Mars square Venus is the culprit for you?

My understanding was that it makes someone prickly and ill tempered.Or has one attract a mate that is what as described.

But I do see the lonesome part with Venus/Mars aspects. Almost like the people with the harsh aspects behave like single people even when involved etc

Could also be where the inherent detachment is borne from? as Mars is naturally independent and relishes that?

I like Sun/Mars in Libra people as they seem to understand my need to integrate romance with sex. So I have a better time sexually with them.

A surprisingly great experience was with a Mars in Cancer. Despite the exact square with my Mars and Pluto,it was fantastic. But then again, they also have Sun in Libra.

This I also find to be true with Mars in Sag(whom I find very romantic when paired with Libra Sun) and Mars in Leo/Libra Sun(an ex). I date Libras a lot as you can see and its the sign I attract the most (next to Sag and Scorp)

The Moon/Mercury also squares Mars in my chart and natal Mars conjuncts Moon/Mars midpoint exact. So the emotions/intellect also get sexually charged up.

I was also looking at Draconic Mars in Leo and it is also very telling on identifying too much with sex.
