In my hometown of Canada, a lot of women my age choose that it is too hard to live a life of a minimum salary job (a lot of time for little money) and for the lifestyle they want. It is almost as if it has become a trend to be a kind of woman that “makes it” selling her looks to the bizzare level of stripping or being an escort. Women such as Blac Chyna are praised because of the life they have built themselves sacrificing their bodies for other people’s vices. Not everyone is well intended and believe in equality or respect their bodies and their hard work. I feel like that kind of Sex work is 6th House buisness because:

1. The sixth house is the last personal house. Representing your threshold to the world. The skin deep nature that the Virgo is all about. It is also about health, and all the other things that eventually become a consequence of how you use your body and take care of that holy temple.

2. It is opposed the 12th House. Which is the most spiritual of all houses. I feel like it is the reaction to what you have done with the temple where your soul resides while you were in flesh.

3. It is the house also the house of Service and Sacrifice (like the 12th)... the ultimate sacrifice of your body.. the most sacred temple for the worldly things (money)

4. It is Work

Question: what aspects in the 6th house do you think could make one more willing to sacrifice their body? The ultimate sacrifice? Or at least blind to the 12th house consequences of their 6th house decisions?

Very good post. The ultimate sacrifice might be my soul. Neptune is related to the 12th so I would guess Mercury because related to the 6th. Virgo Pisces dom/sub. Have to work Pluto in there to go deep and afflicted Sun I think.

I very much doubt that it belongs in the 6th house. I've known plenty of 6th house people. I'm one, my mom is one, many of my friends are, and almost all of my coworkers are.

Health? Yes. Medicine? Yes. Police work? Yes. Volunteer work? Yes. Health issues in general? Yes.
Working tirelessly to help other people until you cause health issues for yourself? Yes.

Selling their bodies? No. Sorry, but no.

I would look for afflictions in their charts.

I did research on this once upon a time, Sun in Capricorn topped the list, followed by Virgo. Separately, mars in Virgo was the most popular mars placement.

Privetly it has been women with prominent Libra who have done this. Not full on prostitution but favors in exchange for gifts and comfort.

2nd and 8th

2nd is Money and Self-worth,
Self-esteem,
sense of personal values.
Our possessions and things you call 'mine' (like your own body).

When you include planets and signs, it shows how you develop your sense of self-worth, in order to refine your relationship to money (and to desire nature, in general).

8th is Death and Sexuality,
psychological and spiritual death;
Sexual obsessions or illness;
therapists (psych or sex)

6th house would be your
co-workers,
employees, servants,
general Health Issues,
medical offices & labwork,
sanitation issues,
labor issues.

12th house involves
secret enemies,
clandestine meetings,
captives, prisoners, slaves;
monks and nuns

Prostitutes and pimps,
Gangsters and criminals
Drug traffickers and drug addicts

(make sure you don't have a poorly placed Pluto in 12th-- beware of underworld people such as gangsters and other criminals)

Davina98-- just because your friends are doing this, doesn't mean you have to do it 'that' way.
You could get hurt-- not just physically (violence), but STD's to make you very sickly (some are life-long, reoccurring; even corrode your brain {syphilis}, or kill you {AIDS}.)

Be really careful. Sex might not end up being 'enjoyable'.. A part of you will have to harden and numb-out. Forced sex {eventually, after a while} can also make you feel hardened in your heart, and incredibly empty within-- like a void lives inside you.

Sex with you and your friend-group is one thing.
Sex with strangers and inwardly-icky perverts can leave you feeling creepy, and put your life in danger. (Maybe even your reputation, 10 years from now.)

Yes, your body IS a holy temple.
Think hard about violating your deepest inner psyche, the most-- The act of crossing a special sense inside-- your own unconscious psychological and soul boundaries!

There must be SOME way, something you can think of 'doing' to add second source of income, that would be Legal, and even ADD to your career?

Entrepreneur.

Why do you want to "follow" them? ...
Be a role model to your friends, and a trend setter of your own.

Is there some kind of talent you have that you could turn into cash? Even for the group-- instead of selling their bodies. Maybe the group of talents you all have, could turn up an idea for a business?

Have it on your mind, as you go around town, day to day.

Ask your subconscious mind to point things out to you, that could be a way to make money.

Taking a Consumer Debt Education Class could be a VERY good way to learn to handle your money efficiently.

Managing your money better.
Living within your means.

This would be better than the risks in prostitution-- which can wind up costing you BIG time in Health and Medical costs-- infections, etc-- including time off your regular job, to go take care of yourself where you get sick?

I don't know if prostitution is legal in Canada?

If not, you might think hard about being arrested and having a record, that will follow you for the rest of your life?

Be careful of 'temporary decisions' that carry LIFE LONG consequences.

{Best Wishes to you..
Take very good care }

I bet it's actually very few that you actually know are doing this, at least of their own free will.

But assuming so many are doing it, then they can't all be dominated by a specific house.

The 6th house is your attitude towards work. What you have to give to compete in the job world.

It can sometimes suggest the nature of the work. But not always as prostitution is not shameful to everyone. Nor do some hold a moral high-ground on stripping.

If someone has Venus ruling the 5th and in the 6th.They want to infuse their creative spirit into their work. They want to have fun at work.

So if they happen to be an exotic dancer, they may enjoy attention they get and minimize the bad.

Even when in the porn industry. There could be a tendency to view the positive and see it as a job that one wants to enjoy or have fun in.

If a person is a prostitute with this position, they may be the type of person who gets their client relaxed and receptive. They may become a client favourite and even find love(yes..love) with one of their clients.

A person who has Mars in 6th may have an aggressive, passionate approach towards work.

So as a stripper/dancer,they are quite competitive and want to be the best. The need to stand out in some way is accentuated.

As a prostitute, expect perhaps one who specializes in dominatrix or submissive /dominant role playing with clients.

I once seriously considered being a stripper. But have too many hangups about taking my clothes off to strangers

The traditional ruler of the 8th(Mars) conj Dsc in my chart. I tend to want to bond very deeply with my job. So I would imagine I would want to have a very personal relationship with my clients.

No reason to be rude about it. If you didn't want a variety of replies, then you shouldn't have posted it on a public forum. And when you phrase it in such a way that more than one person in this forum can't help but assume that you are talking about yourself, then what kind of responses did you expect to receive?

I think a relocation chart would be more appropriate as it indicates how compatible you are with a place or a location while also giving hints and clues about a particular place.

The OP's views do not reflect the entire country. The OP may not appreciate my views. Montrealers don't like Torontonians.

Montreal has always been known as an extreme liberal place not always in a good way. I'm a centrist with a mix of liberal and conservative views.

Montreal's economy isn't as strong as Toronto or Vancouver's.

Montreal has a large French Canadian influence so that has an effect on the city.

The latin bloods (French, Italian, Spanish) all are corruptible.

Which means there more likely to go into questionable business practices. French Canadian are not immune.

When you consider Montreal has some of the cheapest rents in the country, a culture that's more accepting of prostitution (French Canadian - Relocation chart should show this) and the fact that even a "bum" can get the same medical access any one else it should come as no surprise.

My Planets

8th house ruler in 10th house. And moon in 10th house according to many astrologers.

I personally regard being a stripper/exotic dancer as performance art, i.e. the 5th House. I would regard actual sexual relations with strangers as the 8th House.

The Scorpio/Pluto view of sex is that of a biological function. Of course on the other side of the coin Pluto is the most possessive planet, as well as the one which respects sex to be serving a purpose, rather than being necessarily connected to intimacy.

This isn't my 'opinion' by the way it's my astrological take on things. As an astrologer its not my place to judge anyone's choices. So, no, I don't look for 'afflictions' one person's 'normal' is the not the same as another's.

I have Venus conj Pluto both opposite ASC in 6th house. I have Sun Merc Neptune and South Node in the 8th. I have thought about these things before but because my Venus is conjunct Pluto I have NEVER acted upon them. I think sex is too sacred for stuff like this. I thought about it though, simply because I have nooo money and I need it but personally I would never do it. It's not my thing!

Is it me, or do people on this forum not regard house or planet rulers in when interpreting matters like this? I don't see it often at all, like "your 5th house ruler is in house lalal, and aspecting lalal". etc, or maybe I have missed posts like that?

Hi Melinn,

I do, yes. When I'm saying '5th House' that means planets in the 5th, and the ruler of the 5th. It's not something you can describe out of context, I'm a fan of the Noel Tyl Midheaven extension process (apart from him omitting Chiron, Juno etc.) It's difficult to paraphrase but when you find that MH 'anchor' then there will certain houses lit up. It does help to have an idea of what occupations are associated with each house in this regard. :-)

Well my 5th house ruler is the Venus conj Plutp opposing my ASC in 6th house. Maybe I should have said that? lol
