Hey guys.

An older friend of mine turned 60 and is showing no signs of slowing down despite facing a second Saturn return.

He spent his young years confused and aimless. But managed to go to school at some point and slowly forge his judge career.

He has a couple of planets in the 4th including Pluto. So it made me wonder if those who wander around aimlessly in their younger years should perhaps look to the 4th?

I have Moon conj the Ic.So perhaps the domestic life will increase in importance as I get older?

I see this as accurate. I even think of cohabitation with friends a lot as most of us are not married and don't intend to have children.

Interesting theory, I love you want to explore this.

I am hoping this is the case for my partner, he has venus and norhtnode in the 4th. He produced music and got offered a chance to record his music by a label company he respected when he was young but did not go for it (self-sabotaged).

How Cool would it be if he picks back up on his music talent later in life and actually goes for it this time.

He has IC in Leo at 0degrees Aries point, Fingers Crossed as he needs something like this to work out for him.

Yes this could mean that. Especially if that person has zero planets in the 10th house to add onto it. During the first few decades of their life, they may be more focused on more 4th house or northern-charted things. The outward nature of the 10th and other houses near it will not be of their concern. But as they get older and come to accomplish matters of their northern houses they may become more intrigued with exploring the nature of their southern houses.

This can be seen astrologically or not. Because, really, this is just part of being a human. Life gets boring when we do the same thing for the rest of our lives. Someone with no 10th house planets but a bunch of 4th house planets will be more focused on this in life but as they get older they will realize that the world is too vast to stick to the same old same old. This is true for all people, it is why we often see ourselves going far out of our normal limits as we continue to get older and older. We want to travel more and do more things that we weren't able to as we were young. The sense of wonder from infantry comes back. Can't do the same things forever!

Please understand. I didn't mean Moon in 4th are the types who don't intend to have children. I was speaking of my friends.

Many of my friends with differing chart placements, don't see children as a priority. Myself included despite having Leo in 5th

Take one friend for instance. He has Asc Aqua with Sun/Merc in Gem and Venus in Taurus in 5th. No children.

He focuses that energy on teaching mathematics in high school instead. And his Venus in 5th comes through with his love for art and the aesthetics. As his house is beautifully decorated and furnished.

He sees his teaching career as a sort of "fatherhood" role as the students there love to interact with him and look up to him. Plus he says he has no desire to have his own.

I think he might. Venus in 4th suggests that creativity is in his soul regardless
of whether it is commercially "recognized" or not.

Sometimes in life we can be so preoccupied with amassing fame, recognition and accolades externally (Mc) whereas ironically enough, the one thing that gives us what we want is far removed from all these.

Yes accolades are great, but they are not and should not be the aspirational point. Happiness and self fulfillment always trumps that. And that is what the 4th house can highlight;transits and progressions to it too.

@capricorncheriscty

Yes absolutely.

I always used to wonder what will happen to all the Rihannas and Katy Perry's of this world when youth and mass appeal fade?

Does that mean that each will say "I have fulfilled my purpose and now I can die"? No.

If music is in their soul, they may perform to smaller audiences, take up teaching music, become producers, work with upcoming artists etc.

After all the fame and applause is done,it becomes more about the music than ever. That is if its in their soul.

If not, they may do what they feel resonates with their heart. What speaks to their soul and NOT the outside world as they turn inward.

Interesting to note that Jackie Chan-martial arts specialist- is actually a singer in China.

I recall him on Ellen's show saying that if he had a chance of doing his life over again, he would be a singer- as he is tired of being a fighter and strictly doing martial art things.

Perhaps its progressions on his 4th or planets in 4th that awakened his passion in music? I need to look at his chart.

But suffice it to say, its never " over" in life. Not even when you are a so called "has been". There is still much more of you to live. Love the 4th house

Yes def Radium let me know. Because With Sun and Saturn in 4th I suspect you will be here on earth for a long long time

Life may be hard and uneventful in youth or in your younger years. So much so that you may feel like giving up.

But there is a strong need to make something of yourself I.e you are a person who believes in self improvement and self elevation at your core. Inner integrity is important.

The older years may have you working and having a very sustainable purpose driven career. Not the old man sitting at home watching soapie reruns and reminiscing about the good ol' days for sure.

Your older years could have your personality come through in full force.

@Charlie

You may get more reclusive or spiritually inclined as you get older. Finding meaning in life and God from a non religious /stringent "do it by the book" way.

Neptune is gentle, forgiving and idealistic. So perhaps attraction to "shite" may stop, but not before deciding whether you want to continue to "save" others.

If you are still wanting to play hero, you may continually get duped. As you can fall prey to those who fake the bleeding heart.

The key would be to learn to be compassionate with yourself first before being so with others.

Neptune in 4th is my ex's position. He turned Vegetarian 2years ago. Eating meat was always a dilemma with him.

I have Mars in 4th house. I still don't know how it manifests, but maybe I get more into shape as I get older and end up developing a more active lifestyle. My Mars is in Aries, though it's worth mentioning that my IC is actually in Pisces.

Pragmatism, realistic outlook ad sobriety are very much characteristics of Saturn.

Usually those with Saturn in 4th may have have been born in austere circumstance I.e not much affection from parents, too many siblings and not enough attention from parents, parents that were strict or perhaps high expectations and responsibilities given to the person that may force one to grow up before their time.

So Saturn in 4th increases the likelihood that as you age, your view of life grows more practical even with Sag Asc.

Longevity is emphasized. You may take on more responsibility as you age and do more. You could even run a home business or one that gets you working well into old age.

@Lerema

Much of what you said is what you speculate and could be very true. Passion is revitalized as you age. So if you have put off your dreams, you may find the ghusto to just do it.

Mars in 4th makes you more active, sex drive may steadily increase(but so does your temper).

So watch out for an unexpected pregnancy or accidental children as your need for physical passion does not fade.

I often suspect Mars in 4th to be the sponsoring agent for pregnancies post 40 years.

You may be a grandpa who prefers the city to the country and may even go out to bars to have fun.

Dating someone younger is likely. Or at least attracting someone who is way younger is likely.

Not at all. Many have been the type to mother/father siblings. And others don't want kids at all.

Not really reclusive but I love to be on my own.

Have I been a "savior"? Yes, but that Cancer sun of mine in 11H is NOT helping my case! People will literally flock to me thinking I am the new Virgin Mary and it's ******* exhausting!
With age I have become very (!) aggressive and tolreate no BS whereas maybe 10 years ago all I DID tolerate was BS :-/
I have never met anyone with a more deranged group of friends than I had. I no longer feel as if I have to continuously "save" in order to make my voice heard but people still try to sneak up on me from behind with no good intentions..incl my family as if I'm completely blind! But then again, looking at my history perhaps I am..
