Does an empty 5th house mean no kids?

Not at all. My 5th House is loaded, and I have no kids and don't want any.

Nope. I have an empty 5th house, and I plan to have a whole houseful one day.

No, it just means it's not a 'definite' area of your life that you will focus on.

I would also look at your 5th house ruler and the aspects your 5th house ruler is making but I concur with all the responses.

In this day and age is legal to abort, you can adopt or have a strangers sperm from a clinic get you pregnant so it really comes down to personal choice.

If you really wanted to have a child you could, its your choice regardless of what your chart looks like.

Ofcourse, I think is best for everyone to bring a child to the world to a healthy marriage that way the child is able to bond/connect with both parents which is great for their development and been a single mom is hard so decisions that lead to you having a healthy marriage and having children under such would be best for everyone including yourself.

My point is that you should strive to bring a child to the world under the best possible conditions but ultimate you can chose to have a child on your own and go to a sperm clinic, it really is up to you.

Neptune rules my 5th, I have very high ideals around having children personally.

What kind of ideals? I have Neptune in the 5th house as well. A sperm clinic would be my last resort. I would like to co-parent with a friend.

Co-parent with a friend sounds like it could work out nicely bc you are friends who want what is best for the child and there wouldn't be all this drama surrounding the child. As long as you put the kid first and work together with that goal in mind that sounds neat.

With your venus in pisces and neptune in the 5th you would be very attuned to your child and give them what they need but is good to provide structure and have a few rules.

Neptune ruling my 5th makes me really idealistic and is why I never had kids, I want everything to be perfect . I want my kid to have good role models and I feel my husband would be a good dad but not the kind of role model I want for my kid, also we occasionally have nasty fights that I would never want my kid to be exposed to. Last, I worry I will not give my kid the attention they deserve bc I work too much and I am tired a lot. Last, I don't feel financially ready for this commitment. My kid deserves a lot more than I can give them so I don't have kids. But this is my issue, I do have ideals that are very high probably. I feel I should be able to provide them what my parents provided for me.

I don't have any planets in my 5th. But, I have Venus in Gemini the twin sign. I had twins towers. The ruler of my 5th is Jupiter. They were big when weighed together (I am not small like their Mother is). One had hair on his back and the other bald.

Yeah I agree about being financially able
to care for the child. I won't have one until I am capable of providing for them. People think I'm weird for wanting to have a child with a friend. I don't see the issue as long as the child is being cared for.

TBF it could be healthier than some situations were people are married and you are making sure you child has a father in his life which I feel is important, father hunger is an issue. Have you considered adopting? I love that idea but maybe your friend wants the child to be biological and I hear it can be expensive to adopt.

I agree with hypatia 238 . You must look at the sign and ruler of the 5th.

Is your 5th house cusp in Cap?

Some Sags wrestle with the idea of whether children might enhance or inhibit their freedom. The same way they wrestle with relationships.

If they feel that children enhance or will enrich their lives, the choice to have one is easily made.

I wonder if you have pondered on this?

I have an empty 5th house and my aqua/5th house ruler-Uranus only makes a square to Saturn(under a degree) and an out of sign 5.5 degree trine to Mars...which technically doesn’t count as an aspect because trines are only counted when 5 degrees or under.

I have 4 children....

5 children is quite a number Gabby. I wonder if you saw having children as a necessary "rite of passage" or responsibility to mark adulthood?

The reason I ask this is that a cousin of mine has 5th house cusp in Sag with Saturn/Uranus conjunct there.

Mars opposes both these planets in the natal and as they get older, they are conflicted about the child issue.

On one hand they see children as a necessary occurrence to mark them as a "real woman".

On the other hand, they get angry at the societal pressure they feel to " produce" as a mark of being a woman and yearn to rebel against it all.

I find the Uranus/Saturn/Mars interplay so complex , interesting and deep.

No

It often ges activated with transits.
My mother got me and 18 months later my brother when transit pluto was in her 5th house. Also the tr planet in 5th may show what kind of child/children one will get. (I'm highly plutonian, and my brother has scorpio rising).

Interesting enough, transit pluto is in my 5th now.

My 5th house is empty if I use placidus.Neptunus is in it if I use equal.

In Capricorn and I do not wish to have children or carry children at all.

Ruler saturn is in my 4th conjunct Uranus, oppo Moon, Mars and Chiron.

I see children as a huuge responsibility and also having OCD tendensies, everything concerning a child would drive me nuts I believe. Also I see children as hindrance, and not as something joyeous at all. I have seen my twin brothers grow up, and I know what a burden it is to care for a child.
Also I think childbirth and also carrying a child inside the womb, is horrendous. No thank you.

I love animals though and I tend and care for my pets very well, I go the extra mile for them (all or nothing). I don't think animals/pets would ever be the same as a child though.

I find children very interesting and I'm very interested in for ex child psychology and development etc. I get along well with kids and have family friends with kids that adores me.

Mine is empty. I had children. The empty houses are areas that are not as much a focus for us, not something we will lack. My 7th House is empty too and I got married lol

I have saturn in my 5th house which is Capricorn but my saturn falls in Aquarius using placidus. If i use whole signs i habe both uranus and neptune in my 5th house capricorn. I would like to have children one day but I feel I'm just not ready at the moment ( I think that may be the saturn talking there lol)

Want see Randall's chart too!

I find it a good idea.. It's for sure better as it has higher chances of being successful in my opinion.. there will be no drama and boredom..
I don't want kids myself at all. Pluto in Scorpio in 5th H.
Uranus in 7th H opposite Sun probably explains everything.. even though I am a Cancer Sun,Asc and Mercury
