In the Placidus house system, there are one or more planets that are bound to be right on the cusp of a house. I have always wondered if you are able to experience the planet’s energy in both houses. And if you do, in which house does it usually manifest strongly?

My 3rd house cusp is 19 Degrees Gem. And the Ic is 22 Cancer.

Now my Moon is 17 Cancer and close to the Ic but located in the 3rd.

I relate to the Moon in 3rd. But that could also be the Moon opp Mer aspect.

The Moon in 4th is however more in keeping with my inner nature. The 4th house is inner life and private in essence and with Moon there, I do retire to myself a lot.

I would imagine if Cancer was the sign on the 4th and 3rd house cusp,I would relate to both.

I would look at the sign on the house cusp as well as the planet sign.

Good question. My IC is at 7 Aries and my Mars is conjunct the IC at 6'50 Aries, so technically in the 3rd H. I personally have always related more to having a Mars in the 4th H - Home is where I feel more active and at my roots I'm a independent person who was raised by a single mom.

But @Aries23, I also have Pisces Moon in the 3rd H and I'm very close to my female siblings and my mother and I have more a sisterly relationship with her, this is noted to be common of 3rd H moon, do have a similar experience?

Gemini is on the 3rd house cusp. I feel responsible for my siblings.I wouldn't say that I go partying with them etc. Maybe because I am older and the only boy child?

The ruler (Mercury) is square Mars and opposes Moon. Its a complex setup as there
is that sense of distance from them because I feel it necessary to have it in order to be more a part parent than a sibling.

It could be cultural influence playing its part. But I don't share personal problems with them or cry on their shoulder much. I am pretty much lonesome and relate more to Draconic 3rd house cusp in Aries. But we do debate intellectual things a lot(Mars).

My mother and I are not so close anymore either. Again I think it would be because of growing older. I don't share stuff with her anymore as I used to. I keep to myself a lot and share with friends if and when I feel they will be receptive.

Your Pisces 3rd house cusp may have the influence of relaxing boundaries and make for easy relation to a point of it being psychic I.e relating to your siblings so much that you can instinctively feel when they are not okay wherever they are.

Having the Moon in Pisces suggests that the mother is idolized somewhat. She could be someone you view as having wonderful, divine qualities at best or misunderstood at worst.

The Gilmore Girls typifies to me the Moon in Gem/3rd or Moon in Aqua/11th house relationship between mother and daughter.

And since they talk so fast, my guess would be Moon in Gemini and the 3rd house.

My relationship with Mom or siblings is not like that. Its more formal in essence because I may have made it like that.
