So I've noticed Cancers typically go for younger men or women, especially when they (the Cancer) are much older. When Cancers are young, they date in the same age range or someone who is older but for some reason they have this thing when they are older they start dating down. I think this is because Cancers are like children inside and so they need someone to help them maintain the youthfulness of their mind without getting too bored. Cancers are one of the tradition-adoring signs (other is Capricorn) but they like FUN traditions...FUN people....It's hard to have fun when you're shacked up with an older guy/girl.

But Capricorns are the opposite I think? They date young while they are young but as they get older they date people who are closer to their age or older. But honestly I don't know. Capricorns are hard to pinpoint with this. I have seen many Capricorns doing the exact vice versa of this...So who knows.

libra (female), virgo (male), sagittarius (male), gemini (female)

overall as a formula, I've seen women with sun/jupiter/saturn, especially in a hard aspect, have a big cougar potential

and men similarly with venus in aspect with saturn or jupiter

in both sexes, if mercury is in the 5th, or the sign gemini is at the 5th house cusp, there is cougar potential, and in extreme cases, pedophilia

I would also count Leos into that mix. But I really don't know about Cancers

I find the word "Cougar" sexist. Its connotation is that of a stalker or prowler who "attacks" helpless victim etc. Nothing sexy there.

There is no similar name for a male who does the same..ehem..Donald Trump.

Cancers I know tend to go for the older people because of the security that older people offer I guess.

My mom is a cancer leo mix and she always talks about a younger person she works with thats the same age as me and trying to "groom" him for the real world.

..then two of my bosses had the same placement as my mom, both took me on as if they were my mother. I ran from both of them once the money got high enough.

FYI my Dad is 5yrs younger then my mom.

Cap women seem to naturally go for older men, but a mature younger man will do as well. Older is more established. Also, older seems more reassuring. Despite appearances, Cap can suffer from self doubt, and a solid, stable, mature partner helps.

Cancer likes the traditional, sometimes even to a slightly male dom, female sub extent. Older gives that feeling to them. But older Cancer women might also be attracted so someone they can "mother" a little bit, so maybe...

My Cap sister is with an older guy with a troubled past (Sag).

I wouldn't say he's established more like he's "been to hell and back".

He's a little rough for my liking I wouldn't exactly call him a brother in law.

Guys are like wine, if aged properly they'll turn into a fine wine.
Aged incorrectly they'll turn into a sour vinegar.

I don't know were I fit the fermentation process is yet to begin but I haven't turned into sour vinegar either.
