I was wondering about this, I can see how this Progressed New Moon can be a powerful thing, this is a friend of mine and this is exact as in today, been having a rough time so chances of things turning for the better can't be dismissed I guess, though maybe love can be the highlight of it, what are your thoughts?

It is no step for a high stepper. Are you concerned?

Not sure if concerned, he's been having serious issues so maybe this is like universe cutting him some slack and letting him know there's a new phase.

Has he been thinking of studying?

Venus/Sun/Jupiter is what we find pleasure in doing. And since Venus is in the 9th, the progression of the Moon conjunct it could remind him of what he enjoys.

Moon in 9th by progression could also suggest opening oneself up emotionally to new experiences. This could be through academic studying or physical travelling/relocation.

@Aries23Degrees

He doesn't have a good relationship with higher studies, I don't think he's been thinking about that though travelling does sound like something its been on his mind!

He's a Sag Sun, adventure is his second name lol, he's been working on his motorcycle so he can travel around... Yes Natal Venus sits on his 9th house but rules his 5th and 12th hose so I was hoping love and romance plus traveling equals someone close to his heart, I'm kinda few states away.

I am a Sag Sun too. But I have Sun/Jupiter/Neptune and Uranus in 9th/8th (depending on system). And I have not set foot outside my country lol. My Moon conjunct the Ic so I am quite fearful about doing that.

But I do study a lot about things outside my domestic environment and remain open and fascinated by them.

When the Moon progresses to the 9th house, you want to be around people who will expand your mind/world in some way.

I meant studying as one outlet. But that is not the strict requirement for Moon in 9th.

Because when the Moon is in this house, it wants to expand its horizons- this could be figuratively too.

Attraction to "foreigners", attraction to foreign food, attraction to things not experienced, attracted to open minded people, attraction to other Sagittarius/Pisces/Aquarius people(Jupiter is the esoteric ruler of Aqua)

The Moon when combined with Venus wants something emotionally inspiring. So if there is love, he is likely to be most impressed with someone who tickles his curiosity and teaches him things that he didn't know before.

This is very interesting to me! You are right, I think I'm actually doing that, when he met me he didn't know much about ancestral healing mexican ritual "Temazcal" which my mother runs, he was so surprised and so like impressed about things he didn't know, I think somehow when it comes those sort of things he's opening his mind, also Astrology, he finds himself asking about it though he doesn't believe much on it.
