I’m just wondering what it means for someone’s career and advancement if you have an empty 10th house.

Probably your focus is on the other houses, but then doesn’t mean you wouldn’t have inte3st in career or your place in society. Try to ccheck where the ruler of your Mc is and what aspec it makes.
