I have been trying to look up archives of my previous posts/interactions here on LL, but I can’t seem to get the search engine working. It keeps saying error 404 whenever I try to open it. This has been going on for two weeks. I think I tried it on my laptop and my phone. Same issue. Can someone help me? Thanks! IP: Logged |

The above link gives you an alternate way of searching for posts on this forum. I've actually been using the method from that thread more often than the Lindaland search engine as depending on what I search for I get more search results. It was only recently that I learned the forum's official search engine is no longer working.IP: Logged |

The 'site-specific googlesearchengine' was FAR superior. It was turning into a really useful tool for doing research. (Not having to re-invent the wheel all the time, but BUILDING on what work others have done.) At first I was having a hard time getting accustomed to using it. Seemed not predictable enough--- UNTIL one day I had the idea to include typing 'a specific date' in the request. googlesearchengine took me STRAIGHT to the exact post I remembered, so it could be *bumped* for a specific yummy conversation that was going on. I was SOO HAPPY to have found it. I had busted my buns contributing to that old thread! Hugs to all my Excellent Dataswappers!! Y'all are REALLY doing some impressive work.

Can anything be done about restoring the search engine? It wa an invaluable tool that many of us learned from. It contained highly educational gems of wisdom from the likes of Ceridwen , Leeloo, and many others .

I normally just go to google and type my topic/question and lindaland to find old threads IP: Logged |
