What would you think prominent aspects, placements, signs would be in the birth chart of a shaman? IP: Logged |

A love for humanity & the ability to detach oneself when necessary to look at the picture holistically.Moon in Pisces/Moon in 12th Moon/Neptune aspects The gift of compassionate hindsight I.e reflect on what was. And the gift of foresight(what is). Jupiter Aqua/Jupiter in 11th Jupiter/Uranus aspects. The ability to see "through" the complexity and get the gist. To cut through the fluff and find the reason underneath. Mercury Scorpio/Mercury in 8th Mercury/Pluto aspects. The ability to be a sceptic optimist. Finding the fine line between being a prophet of doom and gloom(Sat) and being overly optimistic(Jupiter ( Jupiter in Cap Jupiter/Saturn aspects. I see Credo Mutwa as the Shaman of all shamans. He has Jupiter/Uranus opp, Moon/Nep opp, Pluto/Merc conj and Jup/Sat conj. There are a whole lot of other aspects that I am lazy to list right now. And how interesting that I should name him the "mother" of all Shamans when Neptune(all things psychic) and Draco Uranus (the unusual) are conjunct in kingly Leo. IP: Logged |

I think the Sun and Moon should be in a water sign and/or water house. This combined with (a) personal planet(s) in the ninth house. Also pluto aspects should be thrown in the mix.

What exactly is a Shaman? 😳 Looking it up sounds scary to me. According to google it says a Shaman is someone who can tap into the world of good and bad spirits? That sounds like some very 8th house/Scorpio stuff. Maybe Pluto conjunct Moon or Pluto conjunct ASC 8th house or Scorpio Moon possibly I don't know because Im not exactly sure what a Shaman is but this would be my guess. ------------------ I appreciate the masterpiece that is you, because your existence alone is art IP: Logged |

I'm thinking someone heavily influenced with Capricorn/Virgo (Earth) ASC, nodes, Moon maybe Pluto/Jupiter. Maybe 6th house too. I've read online the 6th can indicate where one's magic can be tapped.
Then there's this that may assist your quest: http://shamanicastrology.com/faqs/the-shamanic-astrology-paradigm IP: Logged |

Generally speaking, the history of a shaman involved a person who survived a near death experience, either by chance/fate or by ordeal. This makes sense to me and the most psychic guy I know had a NDE in childhood in which he interacted with spirits after and disturbed people with psychic abilities, and in a historical culture that practiced shamanism, that would be what he was, a shaman. Of course I'm using the word generically, but roughly the same continent to continent whatever the local specific word was.Now if there's some new age definition of the word that's being used instead then I don't know anything about that.
