So unless you are specifically referring to a Cancer Venus. Because regardless where the Sun is, this placement will influence how the individual expresses affection.

I seem to come across A LOT more Cancer Sun men with Gemini Venus as opposed to anything else. I laughed when I saw this post because it seems, more than any other sign, women come to this forum THE MOST confused about Cancer men.

Would it be because the nature of their Venus (usually Gemini) contradicts so greatly with the Cancerian Sun traits?

In Taurus Sun/Cancer Sun, it can be confusing for the individual. Much like how the intensity of a Venus in Scorpio can confuse those who deal with a Libra Sun/Sag Sun.

Taurus/ Cancer with Venus in Gemini can come across a lot more playful in love than what the Sun sign typical descriptions may suggest.

Nelson Mandela(Sun in Cancer) had Gemini Venus/Mars in Libra trine by sign and degree.

He preferred Airy women-despite having intense Scorpio Moon natally as Winnie and Graca Machel (both Libras)demonstrated.

Even his first wife (Evelyn Mase) who was a Taurus had Moon Aqua/Merc Gem/Ven Gem/Jup Lib/Sat Lib

My Dad himself is Cancer. And he aint the most emotional person in my family. Infact, he hates it when people are emotionally expressive with him.

His Moon is in taciturn Cap and Venus in minimalist Virgo conjunct Pluto. So not many 'heart to heart' ,moments there am afraid.

Closer to our generation, Henry Cavill is a Taurus Sun/Merc and Mars.

But he leaves me perplexed because he shows little consistency in his relationships that is often associated to Taurus- if one deals with the conventional astrological make-up of a Taurian.

But then I see that awkward Moon in Aqua that makes him seem distant and emotionally inaccessible.

And add the Venus in Gemini, one would understand why he would change women so frequently.

Despite Venus/Mercury being in mutual reception in his chart, Moon in Aqua still seems to retain its inconsistency with him.

One has to look at Moon/Venus to gauge the love nature of an individual. At times Venus is prominent and at others, the Moon placement is.

Its not as simple as just looking at the Sun sign alone. I don't think it ever was really.

Ah I see, great point. Cancer has been a sign that I’ve studied the least so I was curious about the Cancer influence just in general.

How would you say a Cancer sun (5th House), Libra moon (7th House) Leo Venus (6th house) and Gemini mars (4th house) would be with sex, romance and in love?

The Moon in Libra modifies Cancer's need for emotional expression. So this Cancer may not be as emotional.

Venus in Leo is bold in their expression of affection. They fall hard and fast for someone and get their pride hurt when the feelings are not reciprocated immediately.

The mix of Libra and Leo Moon/Venus suggests a romantic who is enthusiastic in the beginning stages of courting.

As the relationship formalizes however, Venus in Leo can demand more attention. And this could be taxing to their lover.

If this attention is not given if and when needed, Moon in Libra suggests that they are not above flirting or getting that much needed attention elsewhere.

Fidelity is often an issue with Leo/Libra placements. Especially when we also see that Mars is in restless Gemini in the chart.

Libra Moon is charming and Venus in Leo likes flattery. Add to that Mars in Gemini-whom gets fascinated by many things, and you have someone quite popular.
