What are the biggest indicators in a chart for what One is SUPPOSED to work with? In an ideal world. What I mean is this: I thought I wanted to work with something but in reality, I would fit really well working with for instance farming (which I happen to love!). I think my Taurus MC, SN, Jupiter would indicate this. I also like working with the Law-which I have and I have also worked with horses. But would there be anything else in a chart that is a better indicator for true vocation? IP: Logged |

I have read that it's a combination of 2nd (what gives you self worth), 6th (your routines / needs in daily life) and 10th houses. (this article! http://astroarena12.blogspot.com/2017/03/the-2nd-6th-and-10th-house-making-it-in.html) For example I have Uranus/Neptune in the 6th, and need an existence full of spontaneity and fantasy. They are trine my Chiron in the 2nd which I've come to interpret as healing through making art with new technologies. Lol. My Taurus MC supports this. My Lilith in the 10th trine the Chiron and Neptune, and my SN in the 10th to me means I will always be an 'outsider' or part of an underground DIY thing. I think the question is more about what really meets all those needs. Because you could do farming, as you say, or work with the law, because your chart supports it. But it's a combination of what you love to work with, what you fit well doing, and who you are that will give you the answer, and there are many nuances that point to it in your chart. So look at your Sun, MC, nodes, houses, rulers, aspects, etc. It's all related IP: Logged |

North Node shows purpose but maybe not the specific career. I think your talents are the best indicator, such as Mercury trine Neptune--talent in writing or a strong Virgo sign---talent for service etc. I should do an article on it lol ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Why wouldn't be the MC an indicator of your true vocation ? It indicates the job, career you want to do... MC in Gemini : writer... Jupiter in 10th : teacher... MC well aspected to Uranus : astrologer... Venus in 10th : artist... Moon in 10th : working with family... What you really want to do. The 10th is also what you excel in (I think I have read this)IP: Logged |

For most people and most charts -- no such thing. The world is not ideal and you have choices. There is no Divine Supposed To. Few people have so little in the way of developed interests and skills carried over from previous lifetimes that they are left only one job that will bring them happiness. Even if there was great skill developed in a particular line of work, but was in a terrible lifetime full of bad memories, etc, would you blame them if they (subconsciously) wanted nothing to do with that work or life this time around? I wouldn't. quote:

Great! You've had a good variety of experiences. They all contribute to our growth and happiness. quote:

For me, only with an exactly rectified chart. I use declinations of the planets in aspect to house cusps (all, not just MC or 6th). But I still rarely specify any singular 'must'. In fact, I don't think I ever have. People have choices and need varied experiences to satisfy themselves, even if something tried fails or turns out not to be satisfying. The chart gives good clues if you can synthesize interpretations and suss out the most critical factors. But as Ami said, don't conflate what the Nodes suggest about purpose or life direction, for example, with vocation. Some charts that have the same sign over the MC, for example Taurus, would not all indicate the same kind of work or even the same general category of work. The sign over the MC or 6th is general and is only a starting place for looking at it. ------------------ Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Declinations: because the planets move north and south of the celestial equator IP: Logged |

Look at the aspects your MC ruler Venus makes to other planets and points. Also, I'm not sure if you're familiar with Sabian Symbols (basically a unique and specific definition is given for each degree of the zodiac) but they've proven to be accurate most of the time, at least for me anways. Check out all the degree definitions here.IP: Logged |
