Venus in Scorpio means finding painful things beautiful. Or finding beauty even within the painThey often mean to seduce you emotionally and live to get under your skin. Their sex appeal comes from the aura projected of wanting to get to know you more intimately. Often they are quick to be cynical, negative or ill impressed by convention (like Aqua Venus) but are a lot more invested in the emotional authenticity part. Venus in Taurus people either find them attractive or creepy. Venus in Libra try to "get" them but may find them too loaded emotionally. The sign is said to be in its "detriment" here because Scorpio Venus (like Aries Venus) is too martial for even tempered Venus. It unconsciously resists simplicity and detachment for something more involving They often do suffer loss or pain in love-either real or imagined. But its not always because they are victims of karma etc. Many of them avoid the "easy" path of Taurus and Libra(beauty and simplicity alone don't move them) because they dare the universe to bring them experiences that deepen their appreciation of love and its multiple aspects Its either they get to find someone they love only to have that person abandon them(through death, separation, infidelity or otherwise). So they learn what to love and loose is. Or they love someone secretly for years but can never tell that person because maybe that love is "forbidden". So they understand what unexpressed love is. The other flip side could be that they never get to meet someone who understands them deeply enough i.e. some abstain from relationships or sex(despite having a very high need for intimacy). Whilst others fully engage in their sexual magnetism and sexual power by being overly promiscuous - which rarely satisfies their deeper need for soulful gratification. Cancer,Pisces,Cap and Virgo Venus are good match-ups for them. But Cap/Virgo may have problems connecting deeply with emotions- never fully letting go. Venus in Aries is also a likely matchup. But the outlooks differ in love as the former is more self gratifying and will insist on independence whilst Scorpio wants consummate intimacy and will give up separation for mergence any day(not the same objectives). Venus in Scorpio are predisposed to sexual diseases or problems with the sexual reproductive organs. And this could be if they conceal/restrain too deeply or too much their need for complete body/soul attachment with another. Their Achilles heel could be learning to let go of hurt/pain for love unrequited or fear of being vulnerable because they believe that they will be abandoned. As this stops them from the very intimacy they so long to experience. Venus in Scorpio conjunct the 8th house cusp from the 7th house here...over and out!!! IP: Logged |

That's beautifully said. I also always say Venus in Scorpio as loving a person despite their shadow side, despite their issues and scars.

I read once that love and passion would have no warmth or heat without jealousy and anger. quote: Great, strong, spiritual love — which is always at the same time a genuine, unsentimental love of man — cannot be without wrath. … Anger can no more be separated from love than flame and heat can from fire. Love and anger are a single fire of the Spirit.- Constantin Brunner, Our Christ : The Revolt of the Mystical Genius (1921), as translated by Graham Harrison and Michael Wex, edited by A. M. Rappaport, p. 169.
^ Such a Scorpion sentiment. “Easy” is a such an appropriate description. I see people describe Taurus as a lazy sign, but I think it’s a misconception. “Indulgent” is a better term. Take lounging as an example. Lounging is an active experience for a taurean. The comfortable clothes, the soft bed, the smell of the sheets. While appearances suggest we’re doing nothing and being unproductive, we are actively enjoying the sensory experience. It’s rejuvenating, something we all need. Scorpio is indulgent too but in excess to the point of gluttony. Pleasure is lost in unhealthy attachments.

Loss and denial are key ingredients in this experience. Without that threat, the object loses value. As a Venus in Taurus with a cap moon, it feels very destabilizing. What should be an enjoyable experience turns into some kind of paranoid drama. It’s work. My husband has Venus in Scorpio with an Aries moon. His desire for emotional gratification is insatiable and incessant. There’s always someone or something(!) to lust after. Some object to direct longing and want towards. They don’t JUST want to experience something, they want to possess it. Forever. Lol. I think scorpios are attracted to an intensity only loss (or the threat of loss) can sustain. It’s a torturous and eternal longing. Not easy at all. Learning the difference between (easy) abandon and (suffering) abandonment is liberating for them. IP: Logged |

I agree. Painful position to have at times. His Moon in Aries can have him rush into things that are shiny and glistening. It conflicts with Venus in Scorpio's more suspicious, hesitant style. Though the two are ruled by Mars. The one expresses Mars from an instinctive action point of view(Aries). Whilst the other one expresses Mars from a defensive, self protective point of view(Scorpio). My cautious Moon Cancer position is the type that is inhibited and shy about being so forward. So it's relative trine aspect to Venus in water keeps a lot of the "lust" within. IP: Logged |

They feel love intensely for others. Not just for romantic partners, but also their friends and family. They're not one to be crossed - they can and will endure A LOT for those that they love, but if you betray them, you've lost their trust for good. IP: Logged |
