I was always really aggressive as a child. I was mean and domineering, but I had the uncanny ability to speak my mind. I also used to be violent, to be quite honest. But things have changed as I grew older.

It wasn’t until my early teens that I have learned to be nice and tactful and reasonable. This got me in unwanted trouble a lot because I would either be too nice or not able to say no. I became sort of a pushover.

But lately, that’s slowly starting to change again. I am starting to feel all my aggression coming back.

Just today, I caused a scene in school because people weren’t doing their jobs and I had to clean up after them. I spoke in a very loud authoritative tone that startled everyone. I also almost started a fight with a cashier for being rude to my friend at lunch.

I’ve also been more competitive lately and thinking about either getting into dance or martial arts.

I am wondering what kind of transit would indicate this? Or if this is something in my birth chart?

I have a natal Mars-Saturn-Neptune t-square. My Mars energy is not supposed to be aggressive, but I feel that it is. In return, I feel like I am drifting further away from my femininity.

I am trying to find balance between the two energies—depolarization. I have noticed I’ve been swinging back and forth both extremes. I want to be nice and tactful, but at the same time, I want people to take me seriously. I wonder, what could help with this?

Could it be tPluto squaring my Mars causing this as well?

If Pluto is squaring your natal Mars, transit Mars recent squared it as well. Transit Mars square natal Mars makes us irrational, abrupt and frankly a little nuts...lol. you really need to find a good way to expel your energy right now. Work out, run, anything that will help you use that aggression in a constructive way. You may also have transit Mars opposite natal moon depending on placement. That brings your emotional state at a vulnerable level as well.

You've learned to control your aggression. So this is just a temporary transit where you need to be more in tune with your energy level and make sure it's used in a good way. It will all be ok.

Adding here...

I also see that you have your Leo Sun opposite Uranus 8+ Aquarius.

tUranus is finishing Aries and will be in Taurus square your Sun Leo, and square your Uranus Aquarius 8+.

tMARS is finishing Capricorn and will come to conjunct that natal Uranus Aquarius.

tMars will go retrograde, and conjunct the South Node on top of your Uranus Aquarius for some eclipses in July.

That's a LOT of energy you're going to get the opportunity to harness.

tUranus square your SUN will take a handful of years. (long one)

It's excellent that you have astrology knowledge because this will give you an advantage.

You are not drifting away from your femininity by being assertive or standing up to people who disrespect you or those you're close to. There have always been women who do that (which is why there were laws passed against them in many societies), and the term "mother bear" and various form of "catty" women (including tigers and lioness) are also well known, and divas often feared for their spoiled brat (and in your face) attitudes. As for the media, few would say Dana Scully, Buffy Summers (ignoring the violent aspects, she was still assertive and argumentative without that with those she cared about or otherwise couldn't be violent with), or Beverly Crusher (Star Trek: Next Generation) were anything other than feminine even as they stood up for themselves and championed others. I've known more than one female (child and adult) nicknamed Sassy for her vocal assertiveness.

And I know there are female celebrities (especially the female celebrity judges, from Judge Judy to Judge Pirro) and talk show hosts that many can find verbally aggressive but not question their femininity. And there are plenty of female athletes, including in boxing and mixed martial arts, and if anyone confuses them with a guy then I haven't heard of it. (A few can be, but not all of them by any means.) Plenty of men also prefer honest and assertive women to the passive aggressive who play mind games and force you to figure them out and give them whatever they're fishing for.

I can sympathize as I subconsciously absorbed the message growing up that women are submissive and victims. I learned that wasn't the case (as long as I didn't let it be).

That said, one can be assertive and can stand up to those who disrespect you without being cruel, bullying, and domineering. Sometimes it can be a problem because assertive women are not always taken seriously (or worse, angry women are considered "cute" which can be infuriating since she's not being taken seriously) which can lead to over the top actions so that she's finally taken seriously, and that's a trap to avoid. Martial arts or other competitive sports can actually help with this as it flushes out a lot of built up adrenaline and related hormones (which can make one easily angered, in addition to other ill effects on physical and emotional health) as well as building up self-confidence which also helps in self-control and thus overcome the need to dominate and punish (just remember, if it was easy to master then it wouldn't impart self-confidence). It can also connect you to other women who are in tune with their assertive aspects who you can learn from.

You never really grow out of your Marsy energy, you just learn how to deal with it better.

Just think of how the opposite sign of Aries deals with things, it may give you an idea of how to act as to not be 'too much', or 'too little', whether you're a woman, or a man.

Astrology aside, I think martial arts would be the best way to channel that energy. Aikido, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, preferably in that order, may serve you well. Your greatest competitor is yourself. Self-mastery is the goal. Martial arts would help you with that and in many other ways.

Sex, dancing and/or gym is your salvation. Make yourself SWEAT it out! Take it out on that bike....run yourself tired on a trail. Think positive things ( such a cliche, yes, but it does help) and step.away.from.negative.people.

And I'll agree with the poster that mentioned "self mastery"!

I have Mars 19 Libra. Its a tense time. Most things annoy me now.

Yes, progressed or transit factors -- probably at least one planet like Pluto making at least one major transit to a personal point like Sun/Mars.

If you are Gemini rising, it is very possible Pluto [21S30] is now in transit contra-parallel your Asc.

Also, you are definitely experiencing the transit of Pluto 21° Capricorn squaring your natal Mars in Libra.

Natally, aspects of emotive force like Sun parallel Moon, Mars aspects like: parallel Pluto, opposite Saturn, contra-parallel Mercury -- all of which you have. With Mercury, it is the vocalization; with Saturn the maturing, learning restraint; with Pluto, the underlying push for forcefulness.

I really have a hard time reading transits, but I am slowly starting to practice and understand them.

Uranus has been starting to square my Sun. It’s actually pretty cool. I thought it was gonna make my life more difficult. In a way, it will be, but I will do my best to welcome the change it brings. I have natal Sun-Uranus opposition, so I am hoping that will help with it a bit. Although... that would mean it will create a transiting t-square. I’m not sure what that holds for me.

Just recently, I have started to set goals for myself to change bad habits. I’ve set in mind goals to get fit, pay off whatever debt I have, save for the future, and get better at hairstyling so I can improve career-wise. I agree with everyone saying this is an important phase in my life.

I think Pluto squaring my Mars is a little harder to manage, as I have a tendency to swing from one extreme to another. I’m either too nice or too aggressive. The challenge Pluto represents for me is to find balance in both areas.

I will take a look at the rest of my chart to see what else is there.

I’m unconsciously doing the opposite of what Libra will do. Lately, I’ve been feeling more Aries than Libra in terms of my energy and willpower. When there’s something I want, I know I will achieve it, no matter who gets in my way. I’m not normally like this, especially with Mars in Libra opposite Saturn in Aries.

But I find that the things that trigger my aggression usually have Libran themes. Everything that I find to be unfair triggers me really easily—even little forms of injustices. I react like how an Aries would react, but the button you have to push is a little different.

Mine is at 21 deg Libra, so yes. And I do feel you! Things that didn’t use to bother me or annoy me trigger me a lot more lately. Like crossing in the street.. I get annoyed with cars thinking they can turn when pedestrian lights are on. I almost got run over because a stup*d driver thought it was his turn. I was like, hell no. You either stop and let me pass first or you run me over and get a lawsuit.

There is something about Pluto-Mars energy that wants to get "even" or completely annihilate(Pluto) any opposition to their will(Mars).

So yes, you will personalize such acts of selfishness. And since your Mars is in Libra, its the inconsiderate acts and breaking of social rules that will annoy you the most.

Someone cut me whilst I was in line at a local convenience store. I immediately felt the anger well up my throat. And I immediately checked them by telling them that what they did was unacceptable. I just went cray cray.

After that incident, the momentum was still active. I wanted to take a knife and slash their tyres or beat them with the baseball bat etc. I got home and found my sister had still not washed the dishes from last night(she made them). And I was furious. Totally gave her the silent treatment whilst I angrily washed them. I think I even broke a champagne glass because of the forceful way I was handling it.

Be careful of displaced anger or the force of the anger being carried over to other parts of your life(as was the case with me above). There is so much force with Pluto-Mars being set off that it can be hard to stop when something has set you off.

Dedicate yourself to some strenuous activity outside the home to prevent domestic confrontations. Take up a sport or activity that engages your attention and requires energy etc.

This transit could easily land you in jail or in a violent situation (at worst). My cousin and mother have Pluto on their Mars right now too.

My cousin got arrested for assaulting his girlfriend just last week when Pluto retrograde sat on his Libra Mars. His actions were appalling

With Mom, an ex mistress of my Dad is claiming child support for an illegitimate child my father and she had through their joint estate. And my Mom is mad as hell!

Pluto definitely knocks a punch

Really crazy tbh. I guess it also helps with standing up for myself or other people—something I have avoided for years.

I just confirmed, tPluto is at exactly 21 deg Capricorn right now. It’s making an exact t-square to my Mars-Saturn opposition. Whew! That sounds intense. No wonder I’ve been having trouble controlling my aggressive tendencies lately. I wonder how long Pluto aspects last or are felt.

tUranus makes a t-square with my Sun-Uranus opposition.

tSaturn is opposing my Moon currently.

My transit chart shows barely any easily-flowing aspects. This is gonna be a challenging time for me, I guess. tPluto is also just entering my 8th house and tSaturn is transiting through my 7th house.

Crazy times ahead. I feel that even though this is a really challenging time, this is also an opportunity for me to make necessary changes in my life.

I always think that transiting Uranus afford an opportunity to let go of things that no longer serve us or those things we have been too attached to.

Having Sun/Uranus opposite natally suggests that you are not one to be too sentimental about things or hold on indefinitely. And the relevant opposition with Uranus may emphasize this.

I would look to the houses that the Sun and Uranus rule to see which areas are to be affected with the "letting go" principle.

Transiting Saturn on Moon IMO creates a cramped situation. Its either you feel your current living situation is not allowing you any leeway to breathe. Or that there are circumstances beyond your control forcing a situation where your emotional freedom will have to be held back.

This could be living with parents, living with a stranger or even having a baby.

Look to the house that the Moon rules to ascertain which area of life is feeling a little "cramped". Most people who have the Saturn/Moon natal aspect often need the illusion of freedom in order to feel better about their emotional well being.

This could mean taking a walk in nature or spending time outdoors just sitting. Or it could be scheduling to do something fun to take the edge off.

I have Saturn trine Moon and usually when trans Saturn aspects my Moon, there is a stressful or tense situation that doesn't allow me much peace of mind or breathing time at home(Moon rules the 4th house and is in the 3rd). So I don't particularly like that transit.

Speaking of your anger, Mars-Saturn natally is a volatile combo and can be surprisingly explosive. My midpoint natally of Mars-Saturn conjuncts Pluto and so I think I have an idea of what you might be feeling.

Anger, irritation with " stupid people" and rage that comes from "nowhere". Its not that Saturn suppresses IMO, it just looks for the most productive way to utilize the energy.

My advice is as as I stated earlier: do something strenuous physically. But be careful too as Mars-Saturn with Pluto can also induce physical injury of a serious nature.

A broken arm (for instance) that takes a long time to heal and disrupts your everyday life.

Mars-Saturn-Pluto is also susceptible to heat or 3rd degree burns. So I would be careful around flames, the stove or any type of heat. Don't cook when angry for instance or cook in low heat.
