What attracts you guys? Well, at-least those of you who are not single (because this placement suggests a preference for being single)

I know that most of the sites say an aggressive partner does the trick. But is this the case with all of you?

I have an aries 7th house. Mars in sagittarius conjunct jupiter and venus in the 3rd house. Not at all attracted to aries or fire men. Despite me having a heavy fire influence in my chart i dont get a long with other fire signs well. I know one man who has mars in scorpio in the 7th house. I noticed he was always into "tough" girls. Like ones that are heavily tattooed or that act like rebels. He was also into girls that were vulgar or overly sexual.

What kind of people are you attracted to?

Thing is that I have Mars conjunct the 7th and Juno conjunct the 1st house in Aries.

According to a lot of descriptions, I am attracted to Aries-like guys.

Yes I am drawn to athletic guys(physically well built) I mean who is not. But seldom do they possess the staying power to sustain my interest beyond lust. I want more

But I am not drawn to aggressive types at all. I tend to avoid those a lot.So I am trying to understand why this placement so close to the 7th, doesn't fit.

I am mostly drawn to people with a sharp, dry intellect/humour. If you have seen House the series (whom I suspect is Cap Asc/ Aqua/Pisc cusp Sun and Virgo Moon). That would be the type of guy I am drawn to.

I don't see Mars conjunct the 7th as depicting that.

I have 7th house Mars in Leo, conjunct jupiter (in virgo) and NN (in leo).

I do have a thing for martian types - so with a fairly strong aries/scorpio vibe.

I am really into the idea of military/services guys, and ones who are very physically active - the mars-jupiter thing is really powerful for me. Physical activity of all varieties (ahem) is very important to me, and being able to do them with a partner is essential.

The military appreciation thing is very mars in leo, I feel. My jupiter is at 0deg virgo, so that adds a big dose of practicality and sensibleness to the mix.

As for aggressive partners? No thanks. Assertive and confident, though, yes please. My worst nightmare would be going to a gathering with someone who's not willing to be confident enough to mingle and mix by themselves.

I need them to support my independence by cheerleading, and offering advice when asked (without butting in and solving my problems).

Basically, the kind of guy who would be perfect for me would be one who is physically active; have ties to the military/some kind of courageous service/voluntary ethic; someone who respects my intelligence and independence; someone to have physical adventures with (ie scuba diving, mountain climbing etc).

A strong scorpio, leo or virgo (and/or jupiter) signature would be perfect, too.

(Note, I tend to find guys with lots of aries too selfish and overpowering. Scorpios are intoxicating but easier for me to handle. I have a taurus sun)

I hear ya. It sounds very typical Mars in 7th. Especially the "activity with partner" part.

Do you often feel that your relationships are initiated because of lust than like? I am trying to steady this as it ends up being so disappointing.

The guys I date are physically hot. But I don't want to do that anymore. Its not fulfilling long-term.

The Venus in Scorpio/Mars in Libra contradiction is hell sometimes. I am quick to initiate relationships (Mars in Libra) but they don't touch me deeply (Venus in Scorpio)

I would say that I am attracted to people who have a take charge attitude, who are about action, who are decisive, who are athletic, who are protective, who will fight for what they want, and passionate people.

Thank you for that perspective

I am starting to believe that there is a difference between Mars conjunct DSC applying from the 6th, Mars conjunct DSC separating in the 7th and Mars conjunct 8th from the 7th.

What you said there resonates with me. People who stand up for the rights of others. That is what I like. That is me

I have Mars Conjunct Jupiter in Aquarius 7th house. I think my attraction to people starts with lust/physical attraction. However, I do not pay attention to the person unless I get attention from them first. Doesn't necessarily mean I like being single tho. I like it if they seem kind of dominant (not a pushover in relationships) but also gentle. A bit mysterious ( I think because my Scorpio moon is square the Mars/Jupiter.) intelligence is extremely attractive!

I have Aries in the 7th house, so Mars is the ruler of my 7th. Unfortunately, I have my Mars squaring my DSC, but that is usually the description I use for clients with Aries in their 7th house (unless modified by other factors). I don’t necessarily think it’s about finding war/soldiers or masculine men attractive but it could be for some, more so the characteristics that Mars and Aries represent. The big red planet makes a statement and isn’t afraid to do so.

Interesting that the ruler of your 7th(Mars) squares it.

In my case, the ruler of my 1st house(Mars) opposes it.

What you said there is true for me. I don't find "machoness" attractive. But I do like people who are expressive and vivacious.

Part of the reason I ask this is because my Mars conjuncts the 7th from the 6th. And I also read that anytime the 7th and 6th mix, it could suggest having relations with a colleague or co-worker.

This áspect is very dynamic in my chart and I see it now.

I can see why you would say that because of moon in the 7th house of relationships /relationship persona but i wouldn't entirely base off that what your saying just on the moon in aries alone, i also blame whole heartily on my 5th ruler uranus/neptune/NN. Neptune falls often in love with the unobtainable or doesn't quite see the person for who they are, in the square things can be quite much more difficult then the other hard aspects along with the opp/quincunx/semi-square and such. I'v meet plenty of aries mooners like myself and do not attract childlike people. However i have met quite of few people with moon in the 7th house/7th ruler mooners who date or often attract childlike personalities or tend to attract someone they end up always taking care of as if they were there own CHILD! (very motherly) I would say immaturity/childlike personalities can also be much tied with leo, the sun, the 5th ruler and the moon/4th house as well. Plus my Uranus square my moon in 7th does not like conventional relationships.

I hear ya.

I suspect my mother has Asc in late Libra which would put her DSC in late Aries. Her Moon firmly in the 7th.

My Mom "babies" my Dad a lot. But this is not the "childish" nature I speak of.

When I say "childish", I meant that Aries Moon tends to have a " results now" approach to things. They tend to throw tantrums when results are slow in coming

My father is very much like this. And add to that, he expects her to "wait" on him. She must make his life comfortable(Moon in 7th).

I agree that Moon (especially in Cancer) can also be "childish". Here the nature takes a more subjective, sensitive and defensive tone.

This is the "baby" that is melodramatic & cries at the slightest discomfort.

Leos "childish" nature shows in the child who says "Daddy look at me" whilst you are trying to watch a show by standing in front of the TV.

Children tend to want to "perform"-their families being the audience that they stand in front of.

No mars here, but have a DC in late Aries, and am attracted to people who are interested in adventure : )

Also, Aries Moon here, on the 5/6 cusp, so the 5th plays into that because adventure is decidedly fun, imo anyway.

Keeping things fresh is a very attractive thing, being physical is more attractive that being physically attractive, (though I appreciate a balanced looking partner), and honestly, I appreciate a good argument. I think of that like the fire that cleans the brush away. Without it, stuff gets tangly and weird.

On childlike-ness, I actually get pretty creeped out if people can't balance their innocent selves and their adult selves. That goes for me too...but I can't argue that a childlike quality, or a less burdened expression of play, is a part of any attraction to me. Mars is in Leo in the 10th, closer to a trine, so no squares to the moon to report...but it is square my sun so I can say that there's a seriousness there, between selfhood and the most performative visible parts of me...

I did once, I never will again! I have had a long running fantasy of working with the one I love though...I'm in the arts, being with another creative is super powerful for me, and if we can work together, or if we appreciate each other's work, that's dreamy : )

I knew it. That scenario you speak of is likely.

5th house is enjoyment. 6th house is work. And with the Moon there "enjoyment of the work you do brings nourishment"

But how is this nourishment stimulated? That is where Moon in Aries comes in- when you meet someone who shares your enthusiasm and passion.

The thing is that with Moon in Aries, there is little time to pause when their heart is snatched. Its full speed ahead(barring contrary aspects)!

I think of Moon in Aries in 5th as a heady mix of infatuation. And when interacting with the 6th house, there is a tendency for colleagues to be the object of the infatuated state or for the native to be someone's object of desire.

Aries tends to arouse our primal sexual urges too to "come out and play" in 5th. So that is why I asked if you date at work. Since its in the middle of the 5th and 6th.

I have Mars in Libra conjunct the DSC from the 6th. So I also am prone to making good relations at work.

I think the Libra energy on Mars prevents too much drama at work- although I do complain when conditions are unfair (Lib).

Will I marry(DSC) a colleague (6th)? I think not. Libra is not as impulsive as Aries and so platonic friendship is more likely.

I do however tend to initiate(Mars) friendships (Lib) at work (6th).And they tend to spill over to after hours socializing (DSC).

How about the issue of service and relationships, Aries23Degrees?

Do you find yourself in relationship to people who have power over you, that you might be subordinate to in some way? Is your DS in Libra as well?

I hear you. But that is not the case with me. My DSC in Libra.

I have planets in 7th which means I think I know "better" than my partner.

Mars in 6th conjunct the 7th. I work hard at work and have had some standoffs with authority. And this spills over to the 7th.

Add to that Venus/Pluto/Saturn and I am king of "how to relate". I don't get dominated here. I dominate

I think that Sun,Mars,Jupiter and Pluto struggle in the 6th. They are too egotistical and clash with authority (if they are not the authority).

They also can clash with subordinates-because they think they know better and can be overbearing.

If Venus was there, maybe I would enjoy being subordinate or dominated?

I also have Draco Venus in Virgo and I find this expresses itself more in advising the partner how to behave in relationships , then being subordinate. And so it also wields power over the partner (albeit under a diplomatic guise)

I also have moon in 6th (in leo) and have had close connections with people at work, or people I've worked with at arm's length ie people who do a similar job for a different company.

I'm emotionally attached to my work, it's not a stretch from there to be emotionally attached to the people I work with. That's not to say I encourage it - workplace dating is a nightmare.

As for physical attraction - I like to look at guys who look good, but in reality, they're more trouble than they're worth. My last ex (an aries, also with mars in leo) was easily an 8 or 9 out of 10. But. He knew it. Arrogance is not an attractive feature. Especially for someone with loads of leo like myself.

The guy I like the most right now has a similar look to my ex (embarrassingly), but is less obviously handsome. To me, that makes him even better looking.

I know what you mean about good looking peeps. There is something very attractive about somebody "understated" IMO. Don't like show offs.

I am thinking your Moon in Leo in 6th started to look for dependability? But I get you
