Do Gemini’s ever stop talking? My mom is one, and after hanging out with her all day today I want to say “shhhhh!!” Lol. No offense to Gemini’s, but wow, you all have so much going on in your head you seem so restless. Their energy and constant talking tires me out!

Her chart-

Mercury degree in sign often describes our talk manner. Each degree is assigned to natural rulers of horoscope. So if Mercury is on 5th degree it has expression like Leo Mercury - talkative, loud, expressive, impulsive, with excitement etc..

!! When was the last time you visited with her, Polkadotstars??

She sounds starved for conversation?

Does she live alone, or, with a partner who doesn't acknowledge her presence very much?

She's got her Sun and Mercury in the House of Philosophy! H9. Her Moon is Sagittarius, and with her Leo Jupiter in the 12th House!!!

What a fascinating woman she must be?
(At least, from what I could imagine …?)
Look at Sun-Merc sextile Uranus H11.

Her ascendant is Virgo-- an analyzing soul who "just" wants to be helpful?? *chat chat chat* LOL

Could she be feeling more insecure than usual? .. How 'deep' do your conversations run? … {you don't have to answer that if you don't want to}

What would happen if you put 'full attention' on her conversations where you looked "into" her, and not generally?

She's aging now.... She probably is going through some of those kinds of angsts? ... It happens.
And things happen to people out of the blue.

What kind of things would you have wanted to know about her, or, asked her … if she were (for example) in a coma, never to speak to you again?

What would you have wanted her to 'hear' from you?
Is there anything your own soul would have wanted to express?

You know.... I think it's pretty cool that you ARE hanging with her. Some children don't associate with their parents. You do.

When I 'burn' with an idea, I just have to talk it out, so I can relate to wanting to talk talk talk …. ESPECIALLY if it were my daughter whom I loved. Whom I cared so much about, and worried (virgo) about.

When she communicates sooooo much, what is the gist of what she's trying to relate?

Sometimes... a person will talk talk talk until the listener can validate or explains back what was 'trying' to be said?

What would happen if you stopped, and related back to her what she is trying to say?

STOP Button??? *grin*

Look at Saturn-rx Scorpio in her 3rd House.
She might have a tendency to be sad/depressed sometimes? Her mind H3 might feel involuted, caged or prisoned? Feels alone? … Wants to be reached. Validated?

Gemini energy usually remains 'in the head', the intellect, and are not as connected to discussing 'feelings' and their Heart.

Polka... You have that Beautiful Pisces energy. I hope you will be able to intuit 'how' to approach your mom in a 'fresh' way?

But yes. You are correct. Sometimes 'shhhhh' is needed?

Give her a longer HUG...
That can arrest some conversations.
Help her to 'feel'.

Haha, it's just that she's a chatty little Gemini. We are best friends, and we talk almost every day, at least by phone. Today I went out with them for Father's Day.

Anytime it's quiet, either in the car, or when I'm with her she has to fill the void. She hates silence! Sometimes, to mess with her I'll turn off the radio when we're in the car and I see how long she can take the silence. It's usually like 30 seconds tops until she can't handle it anymore.

She's always on the go as well. Like today, we were out all day for Father's Day, I was exhausted when we got back to their house. And she came back and started cleaning and doing chores. I'm like how are you still doing this? Lol, she can never just sit down and watch TV. Always so active in her mind, always preoccupied with chores and tasks to do.

She does battle depression at times. She feels like she doesn't have any friends, but she has sooo many people who know and love her. She can't go anywhere without making a friend. Even though she doesn't realize it.

She just loves you a ton. I'm a Gem sun and I always thought the while "gabby Gemini" thing was kind of BS. I only talk a lot around people I really like. I don't talk just to talk and I enjoy my peace and quiet. Some of the most shy people I've ever met were Gemini.

Polkadotstars ..
Your description really warmed my Heart!! {{*heart*}}

You are so funny about the radio silence!!
I definitely chuckled pretty hard with you Polka as you elaborated on the chattiness of mom. I can relate!! *grin*

I'm a Gemini Sun 7+(8) H6taur with a Mercury 27+(28) H7gem.

Are you referring to traditional decans?
My Gemini Sun's decan is Mercury;
the Mercury decan is Uranus.
Super-Gemmy???

With me, I do a LOT of chatting 'inside my head' (mostly, planning and composing various air-posts for LL, and working on air-charts somewhere in the corner of my eye, letting it 'hang there' for delineation inspiration).

When I go out in public and ACTUALLY get to talk to a 'real' person, I have to severely hold myself back from just talking about everything. Let the OTHER person have a longer time to breathe to make sure they are finished saying what they had to say.
{{Okay, I'm not THAT bad!! LOL. But, I'm making a point.}}

I'm also pretty-curious about people's lives, so, … I'll end up knowing the deep story of stranger's lives. I LOVE IT.

Happyaskings! Hi there fellow-Gem!!
I can relate to what you're saying. I hope you'll feel welcomed to share here, where you feel safe.

Sometimes I just like 'being' next to the person (on the bus, on the park benches), and merely 'holding space' with them, not saying a word, but I'm super-thinking of them-- who they are, what their lives are like. (I pray for them too, silently.)

When I suddenly get shy?????, is usually because the other person actually wants to know who *I* am, too. I stumble. I stumble until I can start talking to them about something 'intellectual'.

I can tawk tawk tawk tawk tawk about a wider array of subjects. I can usually find something I have in-common with EVERY SINGLE PERSON I meet. heh heh .. It's just a matter of time and subject.

But when they ask about me, how I 'feel' … I go speechless, and awkward. Almost like I can't find language somehow.

It took me a long time before I warmed up here at LL. I usually just read, and admire some of the conversations. And watching people getting better and better at astrology skills. I'll put in my 2-cents here an there, usually when a person's thread isn't really being responded to.

Hey! You want to hear what it's like inside the mind of a Gemmy????

Check out the speed of the Bride's convo in this song!!

LOL -- I must be extra chatty this moment???
Actually, I have a LOT of depth. I have a Core within me that is deep and still. So, yes, I CAN be chatty, and yes my mind can get excited by socializing and meeting people! … It's like that commercial of the dog going for bacon-treats... people! people! it's people!!!!! …. But I can be Balanced.

Wishing you all a Good Week ahead. *hug*

My mom is a Sun in Gemini. I still have trouble seeing it. One site I was on recently mentioned that sometimes the moon reflects the mother so much the moon sign will be the sign the mother's Sun is in.

I have Moon in Gemini. Supposedly, my mom's parenting style growing up resembled a Gemini? Younger me, share your secrets. How did you get this impression?

No, but seriously. To answer your question, my mom comes home from work and lays on the couch watching television. Sometimes she can talk a lot if she has enough energy when she gets home. She has more self-control over her talking habits than a lot of Geminis do though. Saturn's trine to her Gemini Sun seems like the culprit here.

If a gemini is quiet, something terrible must have happened in their life

Or they have fallen in love

Depends on the situation, if i'm with new people or in a new situation.I stay quiet quiet and just observe.

You don't want to do something or say something you'll regret later.

Once I've looked at everyone's facebook, twiter, pinetest and etc. then I become more vocal once I know exactly who I'm dealing with and what kind of things I should and should not say even to the extent of what topics of politics or religion to avoid with that person.

Family wise its different, yes it can be taxing. When I'm with my Gemini niece my mom gets extremely worn out.

She gets scared if she oversleeps she says my granddaughter will have to much energy, lol.

She's always demanding a piggy back, I'm always demanding she walk faster. Somehow it works out. She ends up on my back and I walk faster.

She's an Aries ascendant, Gemini Sun while I'm Gemini Sun, Aries moon. We both have mercury in Gemini. But my mercury is in conjunction with my sun hers isn't.

My boyfriend's brother is a Sun Gemini, Mercury Gemini, but with a Taurus moon. I believe he's a Pisces ascendant which puts his Sun and Mercury in the 4th house.

He is very communicative but I wouldn't have guessed he was a Gemini at the beginning. That Taurus moon and Pisces ascendant really make him watery, so he has a soft side to him which is really noticeable. He is long winded (moon in 3rd), just like his brother/my boyfriend, who also has moon in 3rd. They have very similar speaking patterns in that they go on tangents a lot when speaking :-)

One of my team at work is a sun-moon gemini and so absolutely typical that I guessed her sign the first day she started work.

Always talking, often on multiple apps so she'll message me through a messenger tool, then something else on snapchat, then something else on whatsapp, then in a group message on facebook or instagram.

When she's quiet, I worry ha!

My son has gemini rising. He's nearly 5. He hardly ever stops talking.

Love your Moms chart

The chart is so intricate. And she has draconic Moon in Aries which makes her inner soul very energetic.

Interesting how your Mom has Saturn in 3rd. And this is supposed to be the "strong, silent" type or suggest difficulty in speaking. The Draconic Chiron in 3rd suggests a strong need to communicate- finding ones voice etc.

But Saturn squares Mars in Aqua.
Mars in Aqua opposes Jupiter/Pluto in Leo.

The latter opposition is very expressive. But the former Saturn square temporarily blocks this colourful expression.

So when the buildup has accumulated i.e Sat-Mars, Sat-Plu and Sat-Jup,there is no stopping the volcano of verbosity.

Add to this the opposition that Saturn makes to Sun/Saturn in Gemini. Saturn creates a buildup here too(Sat-Mer). And then the eventual "release" is pandemonium.

Saturn delays, holds back but does not obliterate.

Aries- I did notice the mercury/sun opposite her Saturn. I think she is a great writer but she gets hung up on it so much. She always has me proofread whatever she writes. She says she always second guesses what she writes and that she’s a terrible writer (she’s not). Also, even though she is very extroverted she somehow thinks she’s introverted. I think she just second guesses what she says in public.

That's all her Saturn in 3rd and the cosmic link of her Draconic Chiron in Gemini. Add to that draco Mars in Gemini.

She feels she has something important to say (Sun/Merc) and would for it to reverberate all over the world (Jup/Plu).

The self criticism is from the Mars opp in the 6th(perfectionist tendencies). I have Mars in 6th too-I completely empathize.

Saturn in 3rd additional square is the inner voice that says " you not that good". But with Saturn in 3rd ,there is also the overwhelming feeling of duty to say something or to speak up and be heard- regardless of what one may feel internally

Picture an individual with a stunning voice singing on stage. And then straight after singing, they run off stage and hide under the table. Saturn is all this.
