People often jump in to say that Mars (Aries) and Pluto (Scorpio) would make someone more into war/warfare and things related to violence. I tend to think Virgo is very much in the same category of the most warlike influences in someone's chart, and in Astrology in general. Essentially, just as Ares is the god of war, Virgo has been likened to Pallas Athena, who also, in her own way, was a warmonger.
What do you think about this side of Virgo?

I am not a warmonger LOL very very very far from it, mercury tends to prefer to talk things out and feels there is a more civilized way to solve problems than shooting each other LOL. My dad with moon in virgo is not a warmonger either. IP: Logged |

Not sure about your theory but I will say that I’ve always been fascinated with the military and all the strategies that go behind a war! I’ve watched countless of war movies throughout the years and I’ve also had semi-“romantic” fantasies about being a sniper. Not the actual killing part, but the planning, waiting, strategizing part. Being cool headed in the line of fire. On a more mundane level of “everyday war” (arguments, work, family etc), I am also a warrior and WILL BE the last one backing down. This might be more pronounced thanks to Mars being parallel Pluto... I have Virgo Mars conj Asc. IP: Logged |

Well of course not each one is going to be a warmonger or even lust for the thrill of war, just as every Pisces isn't on drugs or drinking a lot. But, could this be very much part of Virgoan nature? Whether utilized or not.... That is the question. IP: Logged |

Hmmm. I associate Pallas Athena with Libra. And Chiron with Virgo. But I do find Mercury( Virgo/Gem ruler)as a warmonger. Most fights start off with "what did you say?" IP: Logged |

In general, I doubt the connection of Virgo as a warmonger. On the other hand, Mercury could count, especially in cases of miscommunication being blown out of proportion. There have probably been wars fought over miscommunication. In a war, both sides often think they're "right" too. IP: Logged |

I have a virgo supervisor at my second job as an independent contractor and I don't like her, I feel she looks for things to get people in trouble for, the things she tells me make me not trust her, I feel this is her purpose in life up to a point like, she enjoys it. I on the other hand avoid getting people in trouble, I will avoid that, I have this code of conduct that tends to avoid things like that bc I wouldn't want it to be done to me. Idk, I like peace, maybe is my Neptunian sun and moon but if you want to go there you will find me but I attribute that to my mars in leo in the 8th. I dont know what her mars is but you don't want to mess with her, I don't advice it. IP: Logged |

In mythology, Venus is more of a warmonger than Mercury would ever be. Mars and Venus were some of the main ones outside of the big three who would engage in all sorts of drama, including war, battle, and such related vengeful and bitter acts. Venus would literally turn an entire town against someone if she felt they were more beautiful than her Mars is like the aggressive side of war and Venus is like the passive aggressive side of war IP: Logged |

Venus=Indirect aggression, using things like making you feel excluded socially as a weapon. The pain of exile etc..not belonging, not been part of the tribe, been an outcast. So venus version of war is starving you of affection and belongingness and acceptance on a social level. Social rejection. IP: Logged |

I see no such connection. The fire signs are the fighting personalities of the zodiac. Otherwise, Cancer is closer to it as the clannish/patriot protector/reactionary, but I don't like these blanket generalizations, especially with such stark descriptors as "warmonger."Warmongers can come from all types that have Plutonian, Uranian, or Martial/fire tendencies for extremes. ------------------ "Drift like a cloud and flow like water, seeing that all life is a magnificent illusion, a playing of energy, and there is absolutely nothing fundamentally to be afraid of." -- Alan Watts Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert Rectification IP: Logged |

Trump has Mars conjunct AC but in LEO coupled with moon in the 4rth and Venus in cancer, he is ready to go to war to protect his country no doubt. In my experience just having Mars conjunct AC gives someone a resting B*tch face and can make them come off as aggressive and appear angry even when they are not that angry, they may look angrier than they really are, may be quick to anger, impulsive. I could see how someone with Mars on the AC regardless of sign would be interested in martial arts or the military and feels ready to fight and protect instinctively, I could see how it would be second nature to them. Charlie in addition to mars on the AC, you are a Cancer right? IP: Logged |

Warmonger? No.Clannish (as someone else said), protective of family and close friends, sometimes defensive, emotionally intense, emotionally charged? Yes, but it has little to do with my Virgo placements. Moon conjunct Mars in 4th house and conjunct my IC + Venus square Mars + Pluto square ASC = all of the above. I would consider my Virgo placements to be the calmer, more rational and balanced side of my chart. But Virgos are emotional and fighters, in their own way - just not in the traditional, masculine sense. IP: Logged |

mars in virgo will fight with logic and arguments. so maybe the war is more visible that less vocal folks. however, if we were to think them as more controversial, maybe is because of their ability to find fault in others and in the argument of others. their detail oriented and perfectionism permeates everything, so they will be looking for imperfections to perfect...but Libra can be very argumentative as well.... I would not see virgos as more war oriented that other signs. maybe the ones you know have other aspects that explain that. or the synastry with you make you to perceive them as warriors.
