I have just been blessed with the most wonderful baby boy.

Birth was really tough - first of all he didn't make any signs of wanting to be born, so we waited until the guidelines of 2 weeks past the due date and initiated birth (don't know the correct term in English). I got a fever and migraine during birth and got a vacuum extraction.

Our boy was a big one (1 kg/2 lbs heavier than expected).

I was curious but didn't want to ask before; but would there have been a way to see this in my birth chart?

What u speak of there is called an "induced" birth. I was the same.

I was supposed to be birthed on the 16th of December but came on the 21st. And they had to induce me by giving Mom mild laxatives(strange method).

I did come out with breathing issues and health scares post birth.

All this is indicated by Asc in Aries opp Mars(invasive) in the 6th house of health.

Look at your child's 1st house cusp and ruler placement. Also look to your progressions compared to your natal as well as your child's natal.

Don't forget to also check transits on the day.

Saturn suggests difficulties

Mars suggests something intrusive done to initiate birth.

Pluto is "near death" and traumatic.

Uranus points to extraordinary circumstances

In my case, Asc in Aries opp Mars close to exact(invasive) in the 6th house of health.

Add to that Neptune was conjunct my natal Sun(ruler of my 5th house cusp of vitality). So it weakened the body and will to live in it. I think I wanted to return to source energy and "escape".

But luckily solar Arc Moon arced to square Mars months after birth giving me emotional grit and courage(Moon rules the Ic).

Trans Pluto around those months post birth did a retrograde motion to sextile my progressed Sun and Neptune: Do you want to live or die? Die or live? And I chose life.

My mom thought I would pass on as a baby. But I fought to survive. And after the first year my health improved dramatically.

My Moms progressed Sun was in Cap conj my natal Sun(out of sign) and Neptune. And my natal Uranus was conjunct her natal Sun. Lots of " touch and go". Not knowing what to do and trying unconventional methods to get me to live.

Her natal Venus/Sat/Mar was also in tight grand kite formation with my natal Mars/Moon /Merc/Asc/Mc during those months. So it was an extremely testing period for her too.

Congrats Starish to your baby!

Its always so exciting seing posts by you Aries23!

And great to read about for me a new aspect to astrology.

I was my moms first born and according to her, her water broke 3 days prior to my birth!
Well I guess it was not the whole amount but maybe some leakage dunno.

I don't know if they induced labor 3 days later when she went to the hospital, but anyways my Mars is square my Asc. (and I just learned that along with being Plutonic I have a strong Mars influence in my chart, yay me! :/ )

6th house ruler is Uranus in 4th house conj saturn.

Congratulations, Starish!!!

awwwww {{{ }}}

TWO POUNDS MORE??? wooo Lots of work.
You're a soldier!!

I'm just breezing by the posts right now. There are asteroids that can be involved with your chart... But, that's complicating things.

Curious.. Were you having any planet-returns during the time of his birth?

Like, your Venus-Return, Saturn-Return, Mars, Jupiter?

Fever and Migraine?.. sounds like Mars.
guessing..
Do you have an Aries IC? ..
and may be would your natal Mars be in the 6th house?
Or, was transiting Mars conjunct your IC?

Aries23Degrees... I was able to slow down and read what you posted. So touching. {{*hug*}} You had a tough start.

I'm so very glad you're alive, and that your body got stronger and you soul decided to be with us. You're a Blessing.

Drinking castor oil {laxative} is a "natural" way that midwives use to induce labor. It helps clean the mom's bowels out before all that pushing she has to do to get the baby out.

Castor oil is also called 'Palma Christi' and has other kinds of healing properties.

Thanks for everything you add here, Aries23Degrees.

@Melinn.

Thank you for that. I enjoy being a part of the discussions really

Mars square Asc often denotes discomfort at birth or something intrusive.

In life this sense of "dissatisfaction" can continue; where one feels prickly, touchy and sensitive as an impulsive response to things.

Like me(Asc opp Mars) you could get easily angered or worked up. Even excitability could result from this aspect where the need to act is immediate.

With the square however, one is never completely satisfied with action taken. Either self critical of the action or feeling the action ill timed, redundant or not enough etc.

Add that Ura/Sat conj in 4th and home may have felt claustrophobic. A strong need to get away from "tyrannical" opposition to your will but to ironically enough, impose your own strict adherence to your own will in your own home (that's the twist with Sat/Ura conj)

My dominant planet seems to be a toss up between Uranus and Neptune. I have visions of utopia and dreams that involve society as a whole than dealing with immediate relations only.

I am very much the Vaseline teeth shining beauty Queen who answers "World peace" to question "what is your dream for humanity?"

Uranus/Neptune parallel my Mc.

@mirage29

Its a pleasure . I also learn so much here so its mutually beneficial.

My mom was given castor oil(she said it). Because they were concerned that I might die in there.

My birth was a very challenging period for her. And using my birth and a number of events in her life, I was able to estimate that her Asc is likely late Libra/early Scorpio.

Testing the Uranus transit on her descendant currently and it seems to fit: she got a summons to appear in court(7th) out of the blue and it is all related to my Dad. Sigh!!!

Aries23Degrees... I am sooo glad you made it out. Gosh, what at terrible situation, thinking that they all thought you were about to die in the womb.

Yes, the child's chart CAN be read as a 'medical transit' for the mother.

World Peace? .. YES!

That is a yearning I have in my own soul.

Something funny...

I was actually thinking of that movie and the scene where all the contestants said "World Peace" when asked the same question.
