I wouldn't agree with Sagittarius and Pisces. The only Sagittarius and Pisces I know who are obsessed with the news have Scorpio/Virgo (the sagittarius) and Libra/Virgo/Leo (the Pisces) placements . Most other Sagittarius and Pisces I know really hate checking in on the news because it makes them upset to see what is happening in the world, the times they do check the news it usually is just "entertainment" news like stuff on celebrities and food and travel. And even then, not that much. They are Jupiter and Neptune people, so they prefer to live life as it is happening then read on it as it is happening. Reading about life as it is currently unfolding makes them feel sh*tty because they start to internalize it and think "I could be doing something about that but instead I'm sitting here reading about it". If they do read any news they prefer it to be old news and old books because they internalize it less and therefore are able to better put it into perspective.

What would cater to this is her moon in Gemini and the ruler is in 3H conjunct Uranus. Her 3H cusp is scorpio so there is some kind of obsession. She reads news every day.. if she doesn't have time she'll make it happen and stay up 2-3am to make up for it.

I do know the hottest local spots in whatever city I live in and can recommend awesome hangout places to anyone. Also kind of a foodie.

I have Mercury and Venus in the 3rd. Mercury is my chart ruler.

But I digress..

This thread is about one of my classmates. She is a Gemini sun/venus, Scorpio moon, Taurus mercury/mars. I think she is a Virgo rising (very well-defined features but not boring or doesn't look old, skinny, likes tight clothing, beautiful).

Every single one of her Facebook posts are news articles. And she's only 22! She's usually the first to tell everyone at school about some crazy news she heard or the first to recommend stores to buy certain products.

If I'm right about her ASC, her Taurus mercury would fall in the 9th house.

I have Pluto in 3rd oppo sun and mercury in 9th. I care about news, but not the ones conventional media feeds us with. Hypocrits the lot of it! How they angle things to their own benefit. I'm more interested in what happens behind the scenes. Sometimes that means conspiracy theories, sometimes just whats behind politics, the machinery of it.

For ex country Y does something against country X. For civilians its told its about mainstream stuff, but if you are inside the world you know its this and that, stuff that also gets confirmed later on and makes it to the public, like how NSA taps peoples phones etc. Or a war that seems to be about freedom but is about something else.

I would say that Aquarius, Uranian people and Scorpio and Plutonic people generally is all about this **** . Also Saturnian people who likes structur and wants "justice" and order. Virgo and Gemini aswell, but they are more about analyzing and stay neutral about it maybe, not sure.

I have an uranian friend. Leo sun. Libra Venus. He watches his fav news channel every night before bed. Just random conventional news. He is very very naive imo, does not understand politics and whats happening behind the scenes. He can't see the big picture, even things that is fully in the open, the Iraq-usa war for ex. He is not interested in deeper stuff at all! Either bc he is too naive or maybe he gets overwhelmed? I find it both frustrating and a bit adorable haha.

But I get easily upset and agitated so I try to stay away from any kind of news! And try to keep myself updated about science news instead.

First thing he does in the morning is read the newspaper with his coffee. His favorite pastime is listening to the news on the radio. Before he goes to bed at night, he watches the news. I thought it was just because he is old. Maybe there is something more to it.

They're kinda similar, your friend and my grandpa. But I think my grandpa has more of an open mind because of he is a Sag ASC with Sun in the 9th. And also, he has Sun sextile Uranus. My grandpa also used to be the little mayor in his town, so he understands politics very well. I'm really not surprised bc his Libra stellium is in the 10th.

Yes this guy I'm talking about is open minded, it seems. I mean he is very tolerant to people and accepts all kind of weirdos esily haha. But yes I think his mind is too fixed with leo mercury. But I won't throuw stone on glass house, I'm very fixed in my opinions too. I won't back down or budge when it comes to my belief for ex religion.
