(I have my own theories and thoughts on it but I'd like to know others' thoughts)

This birth time is of course rectified. We may never know his real birth time but still. The chart is there. This guy had a inclination to mysticism and religion and, seemingly, other realms of reality.

He was also a drunk, rebel, and reckless in many ways.

That's what's said about him, anyway, interesting character. If you look at photos of him, he really does have a mystical --other worldly-- look to him. His eyes are like portals into somewhere else.

I find him an interesting, misunderstood character who was ahead of his time in many ways. Curious what you think about his chart.

This wasn't even really a proper rectification by Lois Rodden as evidenced by the rounded hour time. It was a speculative chart to put Scorpio over the Asc and was based on a birth date of the 22nd of January [New Style calendar]. I see that and think Scorpio rising is well worth considering.

Wikipedia still says official records indicate 21st of January. Lois Rodden's speculative Scorpio rising chart could be on target, but with the wrong day. So I don't consider the chart linked to be worth relying on for any interpretation.

Isaac Starkman rectified a chart for January 22nd with 13 Scorpio rising, Moon opposite at 12 Taurus. However, I have found his work to be all over the place and unreliable when it comes to celebrities like this with unknown/uncertain data.

Without doing the research (calendar wise, or rectification wise at this time). Is there any credence with the calendar in Russia translating so many degrees ahead I wonder?

The Moon-Uranus conjunct in Cancer actually feels more correct to me that Moon-Pluto in Taurus. The changes in fortune etc, etc. This still works on the Scorpio Rising preface, which is a little obvious.

It also gives me rather a lot in common with him as an Aquarius Sun, Moon in Cancer, Venus conjunct IC, Chiron in Aries etc. but I kind of expect that as I've always felt rather optimistic about his intentions. We all know how powerful propaganda is after all..!

That ascendant I believe actually resides in Taurus, exactly between moon and Pluto.

Have you rectified the chart Scandinavian Crab? I'd be interested to see, I don't get a Scorpio Rising vibe at all personally. Taurus does make a little more sense :-)

I had not when posting my comment. I Did it in my head thinking that a 12th house "psychic" moon (he also liked to drink, but who in russia does not . ) , pluto on ascendant, could make it easy for him to see, understand and make use of eventual "power plays" in the royal house. A roaming aquarian soul with a 9th house sun i think could just wander away in search of spirital truths etc etc. Jupiter and Neptune in 11th house would also be attracted to and attract(?) groups who enjoyed mysticism ala 19th century, and it might have been a thing in the russian uppger classes?

That was while also believing that his actual birth chart, that is linked in the first post, used the placidius house system.

But after reading he was born in Siberia the house-sizes didnt make sense to me, so i erected the chart and got it confirmed. If we are gonna use placidius house system my bet is off because houses 1st, 6th, 7th and 12th are to big for my theory to work out. The chart on Astrotheme does not use Placidius system even if they claim it does.

Using the equal house system makes my theory more fiting, with the exception of a Virgo mars in 4th house actually leaving his wife and children to just wander away?
Edit: Mars is actually pretty closed to the 5th. A 5th house mars maybe fits the story better?
Well im just a happy amateur, who knows..

Exact Trine of Saturn and Neptune.

His mercury in exact sextile to this trine. Mercury at the South Node.

Grand trine between Saturn, Neptune and North Node

Jupiter conjunct Neptune.

I have always found him to be a fascinating character. I think he is Scorpio rising:

PRO: His eyes scream Scorpio rising. That fixity, haunting and probing glance, the air of secretiveness, all of it a dead giveaway pf a scorpionic ascendant.

let's look at the symbolism some more. He became a healer to the hemophiliac son of the Tsar. We see the blood connection with Mars and Scorpio right there.

He was theatrical, as evidenced by his NN in Leo at the top of his chart.
Venus in Capp, he was drawn to power. Mars trine Venus gave him charisma and sex appeal
But Mars quincunx Sun gave the potential for assassinations.
URanus exactly quincunx Saturn and square his Neptune made his exccentricities dangerous in the long term.

CONS: He has moon conjunct pluto. that could account for the intense eyes and brooding appearance. Could also make him appear scorpio rising when he is not.
