Pluto transits are at work when within about 4° of exact aspect to the natal planet (or 3° if sextile, under 2° if quincunx). Pluto square Pluto is a test of your empowerment and strength of purpose. You can expect that you may feel some ego conflicts with others, but this does not have to be the main feature of the transit. You don't want any such ego conflicts to block you from building bridges with others who could actually help you.
You can rejuvenate psychologically and physically during this time, but only if you conserve enough energy for recovery when you press the limits of your strength. It is time to start letting go of old ways in which you played it safe, but did not extend your real inner power, or ways in which you acted compulsively that have clearly gotten you in trouble.
These changes have nothing to do with circumstances, but 100% you with you.
Conflicts with others during this time only reveal the projections that have a dynamic perpetuation in your external life. It is your pattern of (dis-)empowerment and you can change it. First is the destruction phase, then the rebuilding once you've seen how to move forward.
Avoid any version of cravings for power during this aspect, because it can turn against you worse than at other times.
It is proper to stand up for yourself if someone else attempts to stand in the way of this transformation into a more effective life. Don't back down just to avoid conflict, but don't seek it out either. That would be the ego at work.
Saturn square natal Saturn is also a test of strength and purpose, but also your confidence. You'll be focused more on the real substance and structures of your life and whether you are delivering on your potential. Underlying feelings of failure may surface, but don't be too hard on yourself. Look to see if the goals you've been pursuing are truly a reflection of you.
It may require dealing with some loose ends or unfinished business of psychological issues with family or bosses. Sometimes we let others influence and mold our purpose in ways that steer us off our real track in life. Sometimes we may avoid dealing with parental issues or issues with those who have authority and seem to exert control over too much of our life circumstances.
