Let's say you have Mercury in Libra, and the ruler of Libra, Venus is conjunct Pluto. I've noticed the Venus conjunct Pluto would affect the flavour of your Venus-ruled Mercury.

Or Mars in Gemini, and Mercury conjunct Moon. Your Mars would have a Moon-y flavour.

But how about with Capricorn? What if you have Mercury in Capricorn, and your Saturn square Sun? Would your Mercury have a Sunny flavour? Especially because Saturn represents what's inhibited.

And to take it one step further, what if your Saturn was in Pisces? Would your Mercury have a Piscean flavour? Again, especially because Saturn represents what's inhibited.

I think it's possible...

In my chart, I feel like it's more so the sign that Saturn is in.
My Moon and Mars are in Capricorn and Saturn is in Sagittarius...
I can see the Sagittarius vibe because I'm a bit more lighthearted than other Capricorn Mooners I've known.

Although my Saturn is also very closely squaring Jupiter (in Pisces)... so that could be another reason for the Sagittarius vibes.

interesting! Jupiter does rule both Sag and Pisces, but if you feel it's more of a Sag flavour you might be right! My Cap stellium's Saturn is in Pisces in the 7th, the house in which we don't identify with and project, so it's tricky lol

Hi Meltypie
Maybe I could help you a bit.

Firstly, never forget to take into consideration the houses and the natural house rulers.
I'll use your original post as an example:

"...you have Mercury in Libra, and the ruler of Libra, Venus is conjunct Pluto. I've noticed the Venus conjunct Pluto would affect the flavour of your Venus-ruled Mercury."
True. It's still Libra Mercury but with all those extra layers made from aspects it recives and the aspects its sign ruler recives.
Now, how it's nature will manifest depends on the state of the house / the aspects house ruler recives.

" What if you have Mercury in Capricorn, and your Saturn square Sun? Would your Mercury have a Sunny flavour?"
No, it would still be pretty much Capricornian. That's where you take into consideration nature and the power of planets. Saturn is heavyweight player, it affects the Sun. It has upper hand (as you already know - outer planets are extremly powerful). If it's badly aspected, I feel sorry for the Sun. Even if it's neutral or weak, it will still do its job.

"what if your Saturn was in Pisces? Would your Mercury have a Piscean flavour?"

Yup, because in this case Saturn's ruler is Neptune. Follow the hierarchy. So, it's the same story as with Venus. Sign of Capricorn gets that extra Neptunian flavour, of course it will give an extra Neptunian layer to Mercury. But once again, where is Saturn situated? The house dictates its behavior, and that affects the flavour.

Transit Saturn is squaring my Venus in Pisces. I hate this because I feel depressed. I have Venus square Saturn natally.

You too, Meltypie

ChildofVenus, I feel your pain. I have Venus Neptune 1° conjunction in Capricorn, in parallel with Saturn, so our Venuses understand each other very well. The last couple of months were excruciating - especially when Saturn went retrograde. As if once was not enough, it had to step over my poor Venus again.
How do you cope? What I've learned so far is that you shouldn't resist Saturn. Ever. Instead, take a time for yourself, be little selfish and work on your Venus issues. That Saturn square (both natal and transit) is difficult aspect to have - but if you tackle it right, it can give birth to very strong, determined and productive Venus.

What would you suggest that I do in regards to coping? I don't really know what to do.

Make it work in your favor.
All Saturn lessons come down to few key points. The most important is honesty. Be honest with yourself and try to solve as many issues as possible during this transit. Depression is part of the package, but it should push you to do a lot of introspection. Take a time alone and dig.
Honesty will give growth to maturity, stability follows. I apologize for sounding like self-help pamphlet, but it basically boils down to self-love. And as you already know, Venus in Pisces is all about love (in my opinion, this Venus bestows the most beautiful gifts on the person). So practice self-love and listen to your gut feeling.
Am I wrong to assume that you're going through your Saturn return?

I have a stellium in capricorn:
Uranus neptune saturn moon and venus

But my saturn is conjunct neptune and both are opposite jupiter. And conjuct to my moon on its other side.

Saturn is in Capricorn but because of the close aspects to Neptune and jupiter its definitely modifying my whole stellium.
Im sagittarius so I anyway feel my Jupiter side but I also feel very neptunian and usualy people perceive me as neptunian more than the rest.
And also as very lunar but im rising cancer.
So yea I think the aspects or sign of the dipositors are very important.
