No, I didn’t enter it incorrectly the first time. I’m not the first person this has happened to. A couple of years ago, when I first became interested in astrology, I did my natal chart on cafeastrology. It said I was an Aries sun, Leo moon, and Aquarius rising. At the time I didn’t know what any of that meant, so I screenshotted it and didn’t look at it again for some time. Fast forward about 2 years later. When I do my chart now, it says I’m a cancer moon and Pisces rising (but i credit the rising change to inaccuracy of cafeastrology. On other sites, I’m still an Aquarius rising.) On top of that, most of my houses have changed. I don’t relate to being a cancer moon at all. In fact, I’ve always said if I wasn’t an Aries I’d be a Leo. I always felt I related to that sign so much; no wonder it’d be my moon sign. Is there any explanation for this? I just don’t understand why everything but my moon sign would be the same. If I entered in the wrong date, my venus sign would be different but it’s not. That’s how I know it’s a change of my moon sign. IP: Logged |

Sounds strange! Have you tested astro.com instead? That site should be accuorate!Cafeastrology, I didn't know they had chart calculators, but yeah it sounds strange. Maybe its about daylight saving system or something? IP: Logged |

One explanation is inaccurate time zone adjustment, but that is unlikely since you were born in spring -- unless there was an early shift to daylight savings in the area and year of your birth. Astro.com is more reliable with time zone/change info than any free chart site I've seen online. Very reliable. Also, reading the rising signs of that general time -- Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces -- which do you fit? http://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/rising-signs/#capricorn ------------------ "Drift like a cloud and flow like water, seeing that all life is a magnificent illusion, a playing of energy, and there is absolutely nothing fundamentally to be afraid of." -- Alan Watts Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert Rectification IP: Logged |

Yeah, I’ve used astro.com. My moon sign is still cancer, but my rising is correct (Aquarius.)

Aquarius. I feel like I’m an Aquarius rising through and through. I’m very Leo moon as well, which is why I can’t possibly understand the shift to cancer

Ok, so I looked into the daylight savings time thing. You’re right! DST started on my birthday, 2 hours before I was born (it began at 2AM, I was born at 4:30.) But what does this mean in relation to my chart? How do I get the correct chart?IP: Logged |

Use a chart making site like astro.com and they should make the correct time correction for daylight/summer time. That is a starting place, probably with Asc in the right sign, but for other reasons I will not go into here, does not necessarily mean you then have the correct chart. You can email me through my site linked in my signature (include full birth data) if you want me to double check the chart and explain further.------------------ "Drift like a cloud and flow like water, seeing that all life is a magnificent illusion, a playing of energy, and there is absolutely nothing fundamentally to be afraid of." -- Alan Watts Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert Rectification IP: Logged |
