Hi gorgeous all ...Beyond the questions - what does it mean when I have this trine that.. There is the questions of afflicted and damaged planets. I'm slowly creeping toward the possibility of knowing someone with an afflicted moon (in Virgo). I found this guy on Youtube (this guy is hilarious!!).. What do you think? Do you or someone you know have an afflicted moon? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37pL8UaNtyw Do drink water? How is your immune system? Are you moody? Unpredictable? What's your mum like? Please tell me all!

My moon is kind of afflicted. It has mainly positive aspects, trines and sextiles. But it is square my chart ruler so it feels heavier on me, almost like it is fully afflicted; even though I have the better aspects to lift it up. I sometimes feel like I do have an afflicted moon even though it technically is not. And yes, it is a struggle to remember to drink water and (YIKES) shower sometimes. I've had chronic depression for years now and it is so hard to get out of bed sometimes....so hard to leave my house. IP: Logged |

^^So sorry to hear that capricorncheriscty. Depression is a pervasive issue in many people I know. I do hope you get a good support system around you. Even if its this one. Feel free to express yourself here. I am certain that many will be willing to listen(myself included). As you are never the only one who is going through this. To answer the question, my Moon squares my Asc, opposes Mc, opposes Merc, squares Mars(chart ruler) .So I would say that it is afflicted. My Mom is pretty stable. I think the Moon represents my father more. As the 4th house is the Father to me and the Moon rules the 4th house. He is very moody, touchy, prickly and changeable. Definitely not one you can rely on and very irrational. IP: Logged |

4th house is parent of opposite sex. So, it makes sense when you said that 4th house fits better in your impression of your father.Recently, I've found out that my Moon in vedic astrology is in Scorpio and appears it's placed in 12th house. So, quite tense.. My Moon had 0orb conjunction to Saturn and square to Venus. But also have a trine with Sun and Mercury. I liked the video and watched some others from him. I can check every single symptom, esp. not drinking water, exept bathing. I love water and bath regulary, but also I had some bad days when I was sick or really in bad mental shape and didn't go out and didn't bath for 2 days! All in all, everything he said makes a sense IP: Logged |

LOL, I relate to some of these things. My moon is square Sun + Jupiter, opposite Saturn, and trine Venus + Neptune. And it's in the 1st, in Virgo. ...which is why I really really hate to admit that when I get in my moody feelings I have trouble doing basic things LOL like showering......... I drink lots of water though. My relationship with my mom isn't great, we get into fights a lot, Ill leave it at that LOL I'm pretty grounded with all my earth but I can be pretty moody and unpredictable. Being in the 1st probably exacerbates that. I think my immune system is fine, neither amazing nor poor, though I am pretty sensitive to things happening/reacting with my body. I used to have depression and was suicidal for a too-long point of my life. IP: Logged |

I appreciate the young man's attempts to bring humor to the idea, but the notion that a single "afflicting" aspect to the Moon means you don't like happiness stretches credulity. I think we're all better off dropping more and more of the old language of astrology which has detrimental thought patterns and perceptions regarding astrology and its role. Planets aren't 'damaged' no matter what aspects or placements. "Afflicted" is entirely too dramatic a term to be still used in humanistic astrology. Use of such terms lends to conflation with something wrong in the chart or with the person. The astrological conditions only describe a place in the soul journey and the process of becoming. ------------------ "Drift like a cloud and flow like water, seeing that all life is a magnificent illusion, a playing of energy, and there is absolutely nothing fundamentally to be afraid of." -- Alan Watts Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert Rectification IP: Logged |

I have Scorpio Moon conjunct Pluto, square my mars, oppose mercury, sextile Neptune. I drink water everyday. I have a Brita at home. I get a headache if I’m dehydrated. So drinking water is pretty routine.
I have a great immune system. I got sick once this year so far. Yes, I am moody. I keep it well under control in professional settings. My family, friends, and boyfriends joke about my moodiness. My boyfriend called me little miss moody a few years ago, and calls me the Edge Lord now. I’ve been called a wild card by a college professor once. My mom is a generous Leo Sun. I try to shower every other day, sometimes I’ll go two days with out showering. If I skip a day it’s due to business. If I had more free times I would take baths. I actually was doing that a few months ago and it drove my boyfriend crazy since we only have one bathroom. 😆 IP: Logged |
