Topic: for the Novice -Moon placement.

I have been thinking about where the moon usually is placed in peoples chart. My theory (not truth or fact, just my experience) - Moon in previous sign behind sun (natural placement - easy emotional life). Moon (1 or 2 signs) ahead of sun "exposed" where all can see - person needs to learn how to protect their emotional self. Moon WAY ahead of the sun (3-6 signs ahead of behind)- person has no connection to their emotional self and must search very hard ways to find their emotions. What is your theory? IP: Logged |

My Moon is 12th from my Sun.
Moon in Gemini 2nd House and Sun in Cancer 3rd House.
Sure I have emotion.
But, easy emotional life ?
I'm not sure.

Sun in Taurus - 6th house
Moon in Gemini - 8th houseI'm not sure I understand your theory, but I have a very complicated emotional life. When I experience emotions, I can't always pinpoint the cause of my emotion and I don't think I understand emotions very well. I can tell that not understanding my own emotions is taking a toll on me and causing some issues. On the other hand, I am more in tune with my emotions than I used to be. I'm just better at understanding myself in other ways. I have a blind spot with my emotions and I think it's because emotions make me uncomfortable - even the good ones. I'm pretty in touch with the way I feel, and my moon's pretty far and doesn't aspect my sun. Sure, I don't understand absolutely everything, but no one knows everything 100%. Conversely, I know someone who's sun is just 1 house ahead of his sun, and he barely understands himself and is extremely disconnected and discombobulated, and if he does have a 'feeling', it perplexes him. Emotions are a bizarre annoyance. He often says he feels dead inside, or emotionally dead, or disconnected - and he is, if you take the time to get to know him, he's quite disconnected. He's trying all sorts of religious things now and spiritual practices to "connect" with himself.
My counter theory is, that it is not so much about disconnection from emotions, but rather, if our moon is far, perhaps it is difficult for others to suss us out, because the contrast seems so huge and complex.
I've noted for most of my life, others find it difficult to fathom where I am coming from emotionally.
