I don't have any planets in 1st house, 7th house, 9th house, or 11th house. I'm not sure how I feel about people putting planets in these houses. There are specific examples that I'm not sure are true for everyone though. My brother puts his Moon, Jupiter, and Pluto in my 1st house. With Pluto being known for extremes, Jupiter being there as well has probably made things difficult for him. I used to seriously hate my brother, because as a child, his life just seemed better and I was jealous. In the present, while I no longer think this, some of that jealousy is probably still there.

My boyfriend puts Venus in my 9th house and Mars and Jupiter in my 11th house. The Nodes aren't planets, but his North Node is in my 1st house. Venus in my 9th house is painful sometimes since him putting my Venus here makes it quite obvious this relationship is long-distance. It might even stay that way. We're just not sure. As far as I can tell, him putting his planets in these houses has helped me develop myself in relation to these houses (I'm not necessarily clear on the specifics, just that these houses feel more active than before we met). Although the Nodes aren't planets, he has unintentionally helped me flesh out the development of my personal identity (North Node in my 1st house) and become more clear about what I want in a relationship, which in practice has also allowed me to become less limited by the past choices I've made in regards to committed relationships (South Node in 7th house).
I put Mercury and Mars in my boyfriend's 3rd house. Putting these planets in his 3rd hous is probably not a good thing. These planets are in Aries and his 3rd house is ruled by Pisces. He can't seem to give me direct, straightforward responses at times, and as a result of me not always understanding what he's saying, this problem occasionally escalates into making him angry. He most likely does not like me putting these planets in his 3rd house.

My mom puts Mars and Uranus in my 9th house and her Sun, Mercury, and Venus into my 7th house. I'm not sure how these all manifest, but she's a very good parent. She puts more personal planets in my empty houses than anyone else I know so far.

I put Saturn in my best friend's 7th house. This probably manifests as a very close, lasting friendship.

Surprisingly, I don't see a lot of people putting personal planets in my empty houses. It's usually Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, or Pluto and I don't have enough synastry charts to study to give me a decent idea of how certain planets truly feel in these houses, let alone planets that aren't personal ones.
