Hi ,i was wondering if that is valid.Ill give examples to be clearer...i wonder if a square for example between pisces and sagittarius is easier than a square between taurus and aquarius, since they both have jupiter as ruler.Another example,if saturn in cancer ,squares moon ,but since cancer is in moon's domicie, makes that aspect easier. Is it valid to examine aspects that way?

Yes, typically the flexibility of the mutable signs allows squares in them to have a more adaptable, flexible dynamic. Squares in the fixed signs can be harder to deal with, leading to more obsessive, inflexible tendencies.

I don't think you've been quite clear enough in your second question, but Saturn in Cancer squaring the Moon anywhere is not really relieved in any way by Saturn being in Cancer or by the Moon's position. It is still an aspect that requires a person build inner substance and face their own feelings and issues (usually parental). This is even more true with Saturn in Cancer and cardinal signs involved.

This is an example of why quantitive assessments of 'better' or 'worse', 'hard' or 'easy' are of little or no benefit. The benefit in studying astrology is in gaining qualitative understanding -- understanding the qualities of the dynamics and applying that knowledge proactively.

Thank you for your reply.By moon and saturn ,i wondered if cause saturn is in cancer ,and cancer by planetary dignity is very friendly to moon,in its domicile, that would make saturn square easier.Like a kind of partial reception ,according to essential dignities.if for example saturn was in scorpio,in moon's fall ,maybe square would be little more difficult.Maybe im not making myself very clear ...i m asking actually if planetary dignities make hard aspects ,easier.

No, mutual reception is when two planets are in each other's signs of rulership. Moon cannot be in Capricorn if it is square Saturn.

There may be other aspects that come into play to relieve some of the pressure on Moon/inner life, but you may be better off talking yourself out of the worst interpretations of the aspect (especially the ones that are predictive of outcomes) rather than bending the concept of mutual reception out of the context of dignities traded by planetary detriment.
