I recently read an article which mentioned the chart ruler. I’d heard of the chart ruler before, but I didn’t realise it was this significant?! The article said that aspects to your chart ruler are VERY important. The aspects and houses your chart ruler makes/ is in take up a major part in your life. Is this true? I find it really interesting if it is. So could anyone just tell me abit more about the chart ruler ? Do aspects matter ? Thank you so much in advance to all )) IP: Logged |

Hello Neptune! The chart ruler is the planet that rules your ASC. So for example I have Sagittarius ASC, so my chart ruler is Jupiter, which is in Gemini in the 6th H. Aspects to the chart ruler give you better idea of of the depth of your personality etc... My jupiter is square my moon, so I need to make decisions based on how I'm feeling and tend to be indulgent with my vices like food and drinking. IP: Logged |

Welcome to Lindaland! Yes the chart ruler is important! Its like the core and essence by which you vibrate and shows you the kind of life experiences you will gravitate to and will provide meaning and purpose to your life. Like my partner his chart ruler is Venus in Leo in the 4th in mutual reception to his Sun in Libra, his Venus squares Uranus conjunct Mars on the DC in scorpio: He comes off as this very warm, friendly sweet guy who is approachable but eccentric, he appears animated and full of energy, electrifying, charming and quirky. He is his own person with his own mind, a maverick and idealist. He enjoys debating and likes to be polite. Uranus rules his MC and Mars his 12th and both fall in his DC in scorpio and square his nodes and chart ruler Venus. If he could work behind the scenes in a way that he does not make himself a target to help shape the world into his ideal version of how the world should operate that would be the perfect job for him. Yes but for me I feel the dispositor of the chart, aka the true chart ruler is important, if not more important then the rising ruler!IP: Logged |

The rising ruler is the same thing as the chart ruler. Also, I do not think the final dipositor is the true chart ruler. The final dispositor is just saying where all of the energy in your chart must flow through to come full circle. It's more like an order of command rather than the actual command, which is the chart ruler. IP: Logged |

Well my chart ruler is Jupiter in Sag and I have Sag rising so my chart ruler is in its own final dispositor, at home. IP: Logged |

Hmm ok I see... For me Pluto is last dispositor, also its sadly the strongest planet in my chart (aspecting by oppo sun-mercury. inconj venus-jupiter in 8th house), The other strong ones are Mars and saturn, Yay me! :/ Chart ruler, well I look at chiron as my chart ruler, but I know everyone does not agree on that one IP: Logged |

aww thank you! <3 yes I do like my pluto in general. Its just a bit hard when I get obsessive about a thought or about a love interest, being high then crash hard, that sort of things. But I'm slowly getting better at understanding my patterns and all atleast^^ IP: Logged |

If we have a lower octave ruler, then what about the higher octave planet of our chart ruler?(Neptune, Uranus, Pluto) IP: Logged |

Pluto is my chart ruler. With comrade Pluto, life experiences find *you*.That said, I don't feel like Pluto is anything like the defining planet of my chart. IP: Logged |

I find the chart ruler increases in significance when it touches the Sun/Moon/AscThese 3 placements imo, describe the "essence" of someone. Varying of course in relation to differing house placements of Sun and Moon. So if your chart ruler IS one of those, its significant (Moon is chart ruler or Sun is chart ruler) My chart ruler(Mars) squares Moon and forms a semisquare with the Sun whilst also opposing the Asc. So it is significant. IP: Logged |

Its significance is dependent on what it is doing in your chart. In my chart one of my Asc rulers is Mars (Scorpio Asc) and it is on my Asc by less than a degree. That makes it very important, along with it aspecting my luminaries and being my most aspected planet in my chart. It also is the most essentially dignified planet in my natal chart, a final dispositor using traditional rulerships, and is very influential regarding many other traditonal calculations. Having say Cancer Asc with Aries Moon in the 9th void of course would probably be less influential as the planet isn't doing much in the natal chart. IP: Logged |

My chart ruler is the Sun which is in the 5th house, does that make it 'stronger' since it's the Leo house? It is also trine my Asc, trine my moon, widely trine my Mars, (grand trine) conjunct Mercury cazimi out of bounds. And square chiron. What does it mean to be so heavily aspected? Like what's the difference between an aspected chart ruler and an unaspected? I mean, everyone's chart ruler must be important to them regardless right? Also art and love and having fun are some of the only things that matter to me so that makes sense. IP: Logged |

I didn't realise the chart ruler was so straight forward, so having an ascendant of pisces makes Neptune and Jupiter are my chart ruler?Neptune is in Capricorn in the 10th house, and Jupiter is in the 1st/Pisces. IP: Logged |

I have a question, if your chart ruler has two planets, which one do you think has more influence? Pisces - Neptune and Jupiter. If Neptune is the day ruler and I am born in the morning would that mean to look to Neptune more? IP: Logged |

And can someone clarify final depositor for me?It's a planet in it's own sign? I have Jupiter in the first house in Pisces, is this my final depositor? All it does is square my stellium in the 10th haha. I also have sun and mercury in the 11th in Aquarius, so what planet is the final depositor here? IP: Logged |
