I've noted a small theme, and I wonder if anyone else has seen such as well.

Virgo risers seem to be always looking to escape something, somehow. Either a horrible life, a horrible family, a horrible situation, or even escaping themselves via substances and drugs (especially with Pisces on the dsc, Piscean themes will follow them, the good side and the bad side). I see it in the Virgo risers I know. One had a horrific childhood, another had an oppressive parent, and one more escaped via drugs. One I knew in school committed suicide.

I wonder if anyone else has experiences with needing to escape something, as a Virgo Riser, or know of some that feel similarly? If yes, why and what are they escaping?

"“It’s Aslan, the lion from The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe. It’s a symbol of my hellish childhood. I struggled through my oppressive teenage years and when I turned 18 I escaped. Like Aslan I was finally free.”
— Christina Ricci"

(Ricci seems to have a Virgo rising, which also goes along with the types of "otherworldly" supernatural rolls she plays)

Oh finally a Virgo rising Subject

I have it at 14 degrees, so its second decan, ruled by, saturn. So saturn has to be looked at aswell.

Dc ruler Neptune. Neptune is in 4th or 5th squaring Venus. I love (or loved) daydreaming love stories. While waiting for true love to find me. So its like, I have been on stand by.

I escape, by movies and tv-series. It was worse when I was between 18-28 years old. With my first Saturn return 2 years ago I have developed much healthier habits and big discipline regarding watching movies-series.

I use it only to relax after a hard day, after finals etc. And breakfast haha I need my breakfast series . Also I have lots of criterias before a series end up on my watch list. I'm very very picky!

So for me, I don't escape per say maybe? More like I escape into the tv-world because I'm BORED waiting for love...

I'm a Virgo riser personality. I did not have a horrible family life. It may have felt horrible at certain times or key moments, but on the whole it was not.

There is nothing escapist about the Virgo rising personality by itself. Quite the contrary, we are more practical realists, but may have our points of sensory overload at which point we may withdraw from noise, attention, social interaction, or more troublesome matters.

Remember, Virgo is Mercurial mutable earth, which tends to choose withdrawal into a private mindset perhaps after appearing more extroverted than they actually are.

Many Virgo rising personalities not bolstered by fire (planets or signs) will tend to be 'small' personalities easily overwhelmed by the 'bigger' more extroverted or belligerent types around them. They tend to withdraw from that in search of physical (material=earth) space and privacy.

But remember we can't lump all people into the same basket because of their rising sign, because we are talking about people with charts that have many factors. The Moon, 4th house, etc, are also significators in some of the life struggles and experiences you describe.

This Virgo ASC is running toward something, not from it. But in a way, you could say I'm trying to escape obscurity.

My bf is a Virgo riser. Used to be heavy into drugs and has gotten better. But still, overindulge in booze. He had a rough childhood and had his kids taken away from him by his crazy schizophrenic ex wife (Pisces DSC) uses drinking and drugs to temporarily take his mind off of it, surely.

Yes in short, virgo is introverts. We decharge and charge our batteries in solitude. I atleast need minimum 2-3 hours (often more) a day alone with my thoughts sitting in my room or out in the nature.

Yeah I can understand that.

I actually though seem to need at least 1 month minimum of pure solitude, 0 human interaction. I could do more easily, but alas any longer and I begin to turn a bit feral and forget social behavior LOL

Those islanders that live alone, that they say "go crazy" from loneliness and isolation, I don't think that'd ever happen to me x)
