I look like my dad and have sag rising and I have suspected he is a sag riser for a long time bc he has this warm personality in spite of been a Capricorn and is very optimistic. As soon as I saw your mom I thought Aries immediately!
Your dad confuses me, his eye seem warm and sweet so it gives me Pisces vibes with a bit of Scorpio but his face is the confusing part I wouldn't be surprised if he has Libra/Virgo/Pisces ASC.

I can definitely see it and that would make their ASC/DSC angles on each other’s. Gemini was the first thing that popped up in my head for your mom.

They both have Venus in aquarius. My dad has sun square Neptune by 1 degree though but you are right he is more difficult. I guess the question is if sun square Neptune is enough to explain that or if he also has AC in Pisces. IP: Logged |

I thought about Mars in Libra because he is sweet which made me think the combo of the signs I mentioned since he is a man. However Moon in Virgo comes third I thought more of Taurus or Cancer Moon then it would be Virgo.
I am wondering too about his ASC after telling me that he has all the signs I sensed in his chart plus Neptune Sun.
I would say Pisces ASC but not like 100%
Do you have other pics of them? Maybe it will help. Honestly I would bet money about your mom being an Aries ASC unless she has strong Aries/Mars energy or Mars in hard aspect with ASC and still I would think she is an Aries ASC!

My dad is the most optimistic person I know and loves reading books, he always thinks that things will work out, I guess he is either sag rising or pisces rising.My mother was adopted and we don't know who her bio mother is but apparently her adoptive mother is related to her bio mother, with gemini rising which fits very well her personality she would have Moon in Taurus in the 12th emphasizing this mystery around her bio mother. A lot of people see clearly gemini rising traits in her and it does fit her personality very well, very talkative, will start a conversation with anyone. She is also a pediatrician and with gemini rising Neptune (medicine) rules her MC and falls in the 5th  . She also has always suffered from anxiety which I feel would be more of a gemini rising thing than an aries rising thing. IP: Logged |

With Aries rising I would think my mother would be more daring and comfortable with aggression and she is too anxious, easily impressionable, likes to keep it PG. She has Mars in aquarius opposite Pluto, I cannot imagine Mars ruling her chart, she is also a bit of a prude. Now with Gemini rising her Mars falls in the 9th opposite Pluto in the 3rd and she is very zealous around spiritual matters, VERY, when she prays she is like a spiritual warrior essentially and her Faith is so strong, she commands, a very Martian meets Pluto style of prayer, fighting against dark entities. She also was a straight A student her whole life, Mars in the 9th fits that too, very driven academically. Add she has Jupiter in Pisces conjunct her MC with gemini rising, she is very intuitive/spiritual and has achieved a lot in her life. She has directed a number of medical/spiritual journeys to 3rd world countries with Med Students to help the poor which fits well Jupiter in Pisces conjunct MC I feel.She is a leader and can be pushy/bossy but that can be explained alone by her been a capricorn with mars opposite pluto in fixed signs. She is however careful with her words and not blunt/direct or brash/insensitive. I feel aries rising with mars opposite pluto would be more direct and not very diplomatic and sometimes insensitive. My mom is diplomatic and very careful with her words, never blunt/direct or insensitive so very in line with mercury in capricorn in the 7th ruling her chart. She would never say something offensive  , not even by accident, she is too mindful/cautious naturally in that regard. IP: Logged |

Now my dad is trickier, I can't make up my mind with him LOL which perhaps means that his chart ruler is Neptune adding that sense of mystery to him, I would also think Jupiter would be at an angle too or something if that is the case. Pisces risers do tend to be a bit mysterious and reserved, private. My dad is not blunt like me and I am a sag riser yet I have neptune on my AC and jupiter in the 12th and I look like him, we both have that neptunian feel I guess but we both have sun square neptune, him by 1d and I by 2d.With Pisces rising Neptune would fall in his 7th in Libra sextile pluto in the 6th and sextile chiron in the 9th with Pluto trine Chiron, he did study psychology and practiced counseling for a while and is practicing again now, and he would have MC in Sag with Jupiter in Aqua in the 11th, perhaps that would explain his optimism/faith. Your mom def gives off Gemini rising vibes because Gemini rising looks eternally youthful physically. In the picture you posted in the comments of them at their current ages I can see that your mom still looks young and youthful and hasn't aged a bit ! Gemini risings are also almost always naturally thin and seldom ever gain weight or if they do gain weight during a period of their lives they don't keep it on for long. Gemini risings are also often pale even if they are Black, Indian or Hispanic. Now to describe your dad's rising sign...He's a little harder for me to describe. I've seen many Gemini risings and Gemini suns who all share similar physical characteristics to your mom, but your dad gives me pause. If your mom is a Gemini rising then she has Sag on the 7th meaning she likes Sag type partners. However, I suspect your dad could be a Capricorn rising meaning your mom could have a very early Cancer rising (like 0-4 degrees Cancer rising) giving her a Capricorn DC. That explains why even though she is a cap she has this child like thing going which I find cute and often want to protect her. Thanks for your input! Much appreciated, she always has been very thin and has to be super careful about what she eats, she has a VERY sensitive body. Now let me read what you said about my Dad IP: Logged |

My dad and mom both have SUN in Capricorn so you may be picking up on his SUN potentially. He is super careful with money and is not overly generous with money, they are both quite frugal with money. I don't see him having Jupiter in the 2nd because of this alone. Neither are unstable with money. Therapists don't make a lot of money, psychiatrists who are doctors essentially do but not therapists. I am a therapist and I get by. IP: Logged |

My dad has Jupiter conjunct Mercury, I wonder if his optimism alone can be explained with that? Add that with pisces rising his IC and DC are ruled by Mercury and his Jupiter conjunct Mercury would fall in the 11th. He would have saturn conjunct DC and he has only been married to my mother and remained married for over 35 years now.IP: Logged |

Your Dad is careful with money. So Moon in Virgo makes sense.But Dame Maggie Smith has Sun/Moon in Cap/Virgo and I wouldn't pin her as an optimist. But she has a dry humour that I just LOOOVE!! Late Cancer Asc with Moon in Virgo in 2nd and Jupiter in Aqua in late 7th house/ early 8th. Mars in Libra in 3rd/4th. For your Mom Gemini Asc would be believable if she is the type to fuss about words. Is she? What I mean by that is that she is the type to invest heavily on what she says i.e plays with phrases, likes using puns and metaphors, appreciates satirically inclined humour. And with Gem Asc, her Sun would be in the 8th. I don't see this from what is described. As this would give a darker more introverted and brooding personality. No, she is talkative and social but I wouldn't say she is witty lol but I imagine not all gem risers are by default witty. She did go to med school and was a straight As student though and suffers from anxiety. I agree that sun in the 8th throws me off with her, I don't feel it fits her yet she was very interested in studying psychology but went for med school instead and she specializes in ADHD and behavioral issues now. With Gem rising Neptune rules her MC and falls in the 5th and she is a pediatrician. With Gem rising her moon is in the 12th and mars opposite pluto fall in the 9th/3rd, I do feel that fits her bc she is adopted and she seems to not be fully in touch with herself, a lot of things are repressed and she has a lot of anxiety. Later in life she has gain more self-awareness and made progress working through these issues that were just kept buried for so long, usually would hide in work/achievement and religion. Honestly Gem rising does fit her. Her sun in the 8th also squares neptune in the 5th so I think that is why 8th house matters leave an impression on her, neptune does not want to go there. Add her sun trines moon in the 12th! But my dad's face does not feel like a cancer riser though.... IP: Logged |

Yes he could totally be a Sag riser! I am a sag riser and we look alike. That is what my gut says and it would put his moon in the 9th reinforcing further his tendency to be optimistic! It would put his jupiter in the 2nd house but it would also make his saturn the ruler of his 2nd and saturn conjuncts his MC from the 9th, he ran my grandpa's business after he develop Alzheimer's for a long time, he represented international businesses in my country. That is one way his jupiter in the 2nd could manifest while him still been frugal with money with saturn ruling his 2nd.He also travelled a lot for about 10 years do to this business and us living in the US (e.g he had to go back and forth a lot). It would mean his chart ruler Jupiter conjuncts Mercury emphasizing his positive thinking. And even though he is frugal when it comes to travel he is not, like he will buy me a plain ticket to go see him and growing up my parents would spend money on my education and on travel for me to visit family.
