I honestly don't believe in debilitation anymore. I feel like these applied more in ancient times when people were less consciously aware and often things were a lot more fatalistic, because the world was a lot less progressed and things were more dire.

I have a venus in Aries and a pisces mercury. I know that mercury is said to do best in mercurial signs, but I love my piscean mercury. I wouldn't trade it. it helps me be so creative and really be able to be quite clairvoyant. I don't have any issues with writing or editing or anything that is more mercurial either.

my Aries venus is great too. I think the venus energy helps to balance out my more passive piscean side. it gives me bravery to speak up when I am feeling shy at times.

idk, im pretty into Vedic and I think the whole debilitated thing is played out. as long as you consciously work with the energy of the planet vs being controlled mindlessly by it, you will discover its unique gifts

In my opinion ,planetary dignities are very important .My saturn in cancer is in detriment,so i check the aspects that it makes and if there is any mutual reception that could make it stronger.Personally i think dignities are one of the bases of astrology,so im trying to learn more about it .

Ditch the term 'debilitated.' We have a history of using over-dramatic terms in astrology that don't help interpretation. Sun may be more scattered in focus when in Aquarius, more broadly aware, less self-generating, but your core solar energy is not 'debilitated' because it is in this sign.

Debilitated means no ability.

The ability of Sun in Aquarius reaches into the wider social awareness and can bring more awareness and humanitarian values to others.

The others you list have their strengths as well. I also have Moon in Capricorn.

So I'd say come to understand the strength within these placements. Then look at what you can do to develop further the qualities of each planet/luminary that are more in line with their nature.

most of those aren't actually considered debilitated

sun is debilitated in libra, venus in virgo, moon in scorpio (sign opposite exaltation)

that being said debilitations arent necessarily worse tha an exaltation depending on the way it plays out just like easy aspects can lead to more laziness than hard ones
