I don't know much about minor aspects, as do most people in here. I was just wondering if anyone can give me an insight into this aspect?

Albert Einstein had this and I was curious to see how this could have led him to such genius. He was also a Pisces sun with Sag moon, indicating how he was a misunderstood soul with dreams larger than life itself.

I am starting to think that the quincunx has obsessive qualities. Like an irritating preoccupation with the two planets involved.

So with this aspect,it could be there is a lot of living in the head, playing with concepts and ideas. Or else being very cerebral to a point of seeming "heartless".

This isn't a minor aspect. The quincunx is a misunderstood major aspect. Think of it as bending an opposition into a trine -- a process.

There is an adjustment needed in the person's thinking process so that broader information (media) can be integrated into reasoning and effective communication rather than throwing them off. There is intellectual capacity, but it needs to learn consistency and to find its way out of blind spots or reliance on eureka! moments. There is a tendency to over-work the mind and nervous system in the effort to process more, engage in philosophical thought, solve problems. So there may be a need for supplemental dietary support for the nervous system and brain.

A tendency to have too much on the mind at inopportune times that make the person distractable and accident prone.

With patience and continued adjustments over time there can be a correcting effect in which the person comes to recognize unhealthy or imbalanced stimulus or mental processes that can be smoothed out for good effect.

I have this at just over 1 orb. I'm a pisces sun also. Happy to hear that Einstein was the same because he's honestly my idol!

My mind races crazy ALL THE TIME. I have to consciously tell my mind to stop thinking!!! I definitely have a tendency to overthink and get lost in my thoughts.

I see erratic thinking being a product of this aspect. But would this also produce geniuses? He was way above average in IQ scores after all.

No, this aspect by itself doesn't represent genius. It represents adjustment to the thinking process in order for practical thinking to align with more cosmic information.

Einstein denied any special genius, saying he only stayed with a problem longer than others were willing. He had Mercury conjunct and contra-parallel Saturn in early Aries. He also had a Moon-Jupiter-Neptune quintile series. Remember the Einstein quote, "Knowledge is limited, but imagination [or 'intuition'] encircles the world." That speaks of Neptune intelligence. Neptune also contra-parallel Jupiter. His loka planets from past life development were Jupiter and Moon.
