north node is what we are suppose to strive for...right?

but some charts make it so hard...

i know one girl who has everything in scorpio yet her north node is in taurus...like good luck with that...

then others have it so easy...

does anyone have any thoughts on this....
know anyone that had learned against all odds

hahahah I feel you!

Yes I guess I am suppose to fall under that category bc my southnode in Sag conjuncts my AC and Sag is the strongest sign in my chart.

But to give you hope I definitely have incorporated gemini into my personality over the years as I know when to be blunt and when to stay quiet and when to be diplomatic, it helps too that I have mercury in virgo squaring my nodes I suppose.

I use to hate small talk but now I see its place even though I will always prefer to have deep conversations so I guess that even when our charts seem to be more supportive of our southnode I think we still develop the qualities of our northnode over time and integrate it in ourselves.

I have NN in Gemini in the 6th conjunct DC and am a counselor. I do integrate my SN in Sag in how I practice, I am direct sometimes but I know when to be and when not to be. I may incorporate people's faith and philosophy of life into sessions at times or provide psychoeducation and information that will empower people. I think having conversations that help expand your mind and see things in a different light is part of what I do and mercury rules my NN but falls in the 9th and squares my nodes. Isn't that interesting?, the ruler of my NN is mercury in virgo and falls in the 9th and squares my nodes in gemini/sag, I guess the purpose of my NN is to integrate these two polarities more so than just simply growing more into Gemini traits.

This makes me feel that charts that seem to not be "supporting" the northnode are purposely that way and are meant to support the development of that person but we just need to look more closely. Upon closer inspection of my own chart is evident that my NN path is integrating 3rd/9th house energy, further reinforced by my sun in virgo and sag rising; is quite a theme in my chart.

I have a doubt if I able to fulfill my NN in this time or need more. I'm already completed half of my life.

NN 13° Conjunct Mercury in Cancer 2nd H.
SN Conjunct H13/BML.
Money and Family always my issue.
I feel myself worthless without any value.
Still unmarried. 2nd NN Return coming soon.

Honestly, we're supposed to strive for our North Node, but I think we're also supposed to balance the qualities of our North Node and South Node and not make one more important than the other. However, my South Node actually represents most of my main weaknesses and qualities I actually lack for the most part. Aren't you supposed to have the qualities of your South Node already? Yea, about that. Developing the qualities of my North Node has always been much easier.

I have the same. North Node in 2nd, but several planets in 8th house. Nothing in 2nd. It can be frustrating.

North node conjuncting only the Midheaven mainly. And I have my SN conjuncting my Sun, Venus, and IC all together. It's going to be one hell of a bumpy road, and I've already drove over a large bump into a ditch so far into it. I will see how it goes. My whole aim in life is toward the NN. I know I have to find compromises, to become more Capricorn-like in structure and practicality. But also in my own way as long as I get the job done in the end of the day, because I will never become a Capricorn completely. It's terrifying, the thought of overcoming one's comfort zone in the Sun, SN, and IC, but I already know exactly what I want out of life, and it all relates to my NN. So, here's hoping I don't F up in the end. Gulp.

I don't think we can help but express the North node. This despite having planets that oppose it.

My sister has North Node in Aries conjunct Jupiter/Venus for instance and she is very assertive. She never wants to be seen as a "pushover" or a "go along to get along" type of person.

I think that she believes that she has played that role much to her detriment early on in her life.

I have Gemini North node and I don't "battle" to integrate that with my Sag stellium.

What typically occurs is that the Gem North node is the "on the other hand" side of my thinking. It stops me from thinking in narrow ways or being too engrossed in my own opinion.

If I had Sag North node conj my Sag stellium, its likely that I would have been someone who asserts their opinion and never wants to be seen as "flaky" (Gemini) or changeable.

The Draconic chart takes the North Node as the Aries point of focus. It can shed light on what it is that one is essentially to focusing on I.e.

The Draconic Sun in Aries suggests assertion. You need to be free to go on your direction and resist letting others interfere in your way(Libra)

Draconic planetary positions in Libra suggests balance. You need to learn to take ego out of your thinking and consider the other side(Aries). Integration is key.

Draconic positions in Cancer suggests getting more in touch with your "feeling" self. You tend to isolate or detach from emotional involvement too much(Cap)

Conversely Cap Draconic placements suggests that you must learn to control or master your feelings. Don't let subjective emotions influence your plans or become over sensitized to the environment to the point of inaction(Cancer).

I do however have to admit that with Sun in Sag,its hard to detach from wanting to be "right". But typically speaking, it does feel natural to see another perspective or to be open to alternatives that contradict my earlier thinking I.e experience (Gemini) instead of plain philosophy (Sag)
