If you or someone you know have this, I would love to hear any experiences with it

(i.e. childhood and how you live with it as an adult, etc)

I have this in Libra. While I look very Libran physically and in mannerisms, the lack of self esteem and negative reinforcement still manifests even as I'm come into adulthood.

Its a tough aspect, definitely.

<3 <3 <3 to anyone who shares it

I'd love to hear more about it from your perspective. I know someone with this placement (Libra rising too) and really curious.

First, is it from your 12th or 1st conjunct?

Is it obvious to other people the need for reassurance and all or are you playing it well? (if you don't mind me asking)

What's your moon like?

@Brenda_S, I can definitely expound on it - lol I have time tonight anyway. I have it from the 12th house side, but its very apparent physically still. The best way I can describe living with chiron conj. your ascendant is waking up everyday with a dirty slate. Its like no matter how hard you try or how far you go, you will always be this outsider, this weird weirdo internally. Its this pain you feel in your heart that never ever goes away. No matter how many people see you as "pretty" (Libra) you come up short. Because libra looks for partnerships and in this way they see themselves in others. With 12th house the wound is hidden from you but everyone else sees it (from what i know at least). Its almost as if you stay that kid that was made fun of in the playground for not having the cool shoes that everyone else had. People laugh at you. You can see that pain in our eyes.

My face is assymetrical. Some people think its cute. I'm always told to "smile more" and that i look sad. Sometimes I am.

There comes a beauty with this aspect though. We live in pain so much so that we don't judge others the way a normal person would. We see beyond whats mundane more easily i think. The negatives of our youth are so deeply embedded within our persona that we are forced to deal with this pain head on - and in that we grow in this weirdly beautiful way. I have chironic moments from time to time (usually at night) where I have these types of epiphanies where my pain teaches me something. Its like I get wiser and stronger from this strange source.

Maybe I will heal from the invisible wound one day. Maybe I won't. But it does give a soul that is meant to heal on this earth. Or at least thats how I live it day by day.

It hurts. We still try everyday though.

I am a solar leo with a gemini moon (which I HATEE - blegh!) but i do not feel as though my moon sign impacts how i feel about myself chiron wise. I have lots of 4th house/cancer in my chart also.

I have venus in adverse aspect to saturn (square) and also mars square saturn. I'm sure that adds to the negativity.

I hope I didn't sound narcissistic in this post.

I'm 22 btw.

Love what you said, and no didn't come off narcissistic at all lol.

I have a few questions...

"the lack of self esteem and negative reinforcement still manifests"

Do you come off as insecure? Like do other refer to you that way? Or is it your mental state and feel like you're just acting on it? And does your Leo sun compensate for it - like 'seeking out' what you're looking to satisfy?

Also, you mentioned people tell you to smile more... Is it you coming across as 'serious' or 'sad'? And does that face in fact reflect your sadness or do you have some Saturn aspects that give you that look regardless of your feeling?

How do people's actions at this age affect you? Like how do you react when they criticize something that you know you're insecure about?

I'm just trying to get the whole concept of Chiron strong in someone's chart... Like if they're internally hurt or if it's like an in your face wounded person.

BTW asymmetrical faces are cute lol and I'm not sure why.

Just curious you mentioned that you don't like your Gemini moon... Why is it so? (Gemini moon myself lol so... Ya know)

I have the opposition - Chiron in my 6th house opposite my Cap ASC.

Easily the most painful aspect that I have. I don't say that lightly, either.

Is there anything in particular that you have a question about?

@StubbornVirgo

hey thanks for replying

I guess I'm just curious to hear you experiences with it in terms pain and how that manifests in your life...Also I your age if you don't mind me asking

I ask about age because chiron is supposed to get better with age - or so I've heard

also, do you consider yourself a healer of some sort? I feel like i do sometimes but maybe i'm just full of it lol (leo sun)

I have Chiron at 5N31 declination in 7th house parallel Asc [5N02] in Virgo. Very much like a conjunction. (At 8°02 Aries Chiron is also square Moon 11°43' Capricorn and Uranus 5°32' Libra.)

The challenge of Chiron aspects is the same as any other perceived as challenging or having some drawbacks: to go from 'it is doing this to me' to 'this is what I am doing with it'.

However, it does not have the importance of planets or planetary aspects. All the 7 traditional planets are more influential than any asteroid, and I believe the outer three trans-personals are as well.

Notice where various astrologers place the emphasis. Chiron in the mythology is the wounded healer. The verb, the action there is Healer. If we stay stuck in the wounded part we are staying stuck in the past in which we can convince self that this is what has been and is being done to me, that it is somehow my fate. Do that and you never get to the healing -- the doing.

There are no entirely good or bad placements. There are patterns and tendencies, and every placement in the birth chart is just a starting place describing past patterns obscured from view by amnesia or belief. There are no placements that singly or in aggregate prescribe for us bad health or unhappiness.

I could describe for you my physical shortcomings, but I chose this body as an appropriate vehicle. What is important is that I have had health issues that have allowed me to access the genuine desire to help others heal. This is the purpose of Chiron aspects and placements that challenge us, not pain. Pain or woundedness is not the purpose or the destiny of Chiron, no matter how it is spoken of here or in print.

The challenge is always to transmute the negative into positive for self and others. Read the mythology. Look at all the things Chiron did -- a very multi-talented character in touch with both the soul and body natures, a picture of balance of the two. Healer, teacher, tutor, involved in many of the natural arts.

I'm 48. I've had health issues most of my life. Even now I have an odd exhaustion in my knees, weakness, soreness that makes no sense to modern medicine. This is just another example of the many conditions that have pushed me to learn natural medicine (TCM, herbs, homeopathy) so that I can treat myself and go on living. I take what I've learned and help others.

If you are a genuine Chironic person (actually have the aspect to your correct Asc) you are a healer whether you know it or not. Coming to that realization and the compassion it grows in you for others -- those are the only things that matter.

Love this statement from Kannon. I agree wholeheartedly with this sentiment. Change the focus from passive victim to active participant. I also agree that it changes with age.
