I've Mars in 10th house. My career only took off after 30yo. Before that nothing went my way...I would get missed out on promotions because my bosses left the company suddenly or something would happen to jeopardise my career growth. I also only found my career path in late 20s. My cousin has sun/venus in 10th house and her career hovers on a mediocre plane..always have difficulties at work. IP: Logged |

I have Jupiter in Virgo in 10th house. Jupiter is conjunct my Midheaven, but I'm a definite late bloomer. My North Node in Capricorn makes a trine to my Midheaven and I think this might be what points to me being a late bloomer.I've gone through more stuff than the average person my age and it took me forever to recover from it since it delayed the development of my career as a writer and my life started off with a massive chain of events with almost no breaks for the first 25 years of my life. I was barely able to slow down to breathe with everything thrown in my direction and I'm probably going to get even more at some point. I suspect I'll start making progress after my first Saturn Return, especially since my North Node is ruled by Saturn and aspects my Midheaven. IP: Logged |

Oh, I forgot to add that it didn't help that I've Pisces in 10th house. Hee.

I think Moon/Venus/Neptune on the midheaven could slow things down career wise.Moon- due to home obligations or inhibitions interfering with career Venus- due to reservation and being fearful of a pressurised environment or one that is too demanding Neptune- ideals do not equate to what you experience. So there is often disenchantment and confusion relating to "purpose". @Hikaru29 I am thinking that in your case, the often powerful and highly charged nature of Mars could have been compromised by being in Pisces. Its the sub-influence of Neptune/Jupiter ruled Pisces that wants a career that is spiritually rewarding. One that you can positively sink your teeth into. Finding such a career however, is not easy. Especially in a corporate-intense world. So the Mars nature stays dormant and passive. But if say such a career would be indeed found. The more intense, focused and aggressive nature of Mars would surface. And you would be a firecracker in your career. I have no doubt about that. I know personally of a friend with Mars in Pisces and he is a social worker. Very effective in that as it makes him feel like he is making a difference in other people's lives. Because of that belief he has, he is a force in his career. He comes recommended by his superiors and community leaders consult with him a lot in local projects.

i'm def a late bloomer i was confused why jupiter wasn't helping but seems like others experiance it too neptune really doens't help...i can go years btwn jobs i day dream about being super succesful...and maybe becuase neptune my 10th house ruler is in my 7th house i also day dream about the image of being succesful...ie. well dressed etc. other jobs i've had were gymanstics coach and lifegurard..but those were thanks to my mom pushing me....which is kind a interststing...i wonder if it has anything to do with jupiter making a harmonious aspect to moon has anything to do with it...my mom always finds the coolest job ideas for me i hope i figure it out cuz my north node is there question do you guys think my career is meant to be somehting realted to partnership.... like with a business partner or romantic partner? when i'm in a relationship i'm always more motivated to get a job...but it could be because they're pushing me and motivating me as well... You share similar placements with my sister.I see that Mars/Uranus opposite is problematic. This is the "what was I doing again? " placement. In that Uranus tends to interrupt the energetic flow of Mars. So it can add disturbances that are annoying and disheartening at times to Mars' "go get it " drive. Since Mars is in the 1st house. You may approach life from a very "warrior" vantage point. Wanting to charge through and find your own way. But as I said, the opposition of Uranus to both your Asc point and Mars does stress that there are hangups and frustrations. Life certainly can throw curve balls that are frustrating. I see Mars/Uranus in aspect as the contract/odd job there and here aspect. This especially when Mars rules the 6th(as is your case when we see that Scorpio is co-ruled by Mars). Add to this, the Asc ruler(Mercury)is in the 12th. The 12th house emphasizes confusion and uncertainty and is the house of the subconscious. What we find through "knowing" and is difficult to articulate or put in tangible form. So Mercury (1st house rule) in 12th can add an air of disenchantment and sense of being overwhelmed in ones outlook. The reason being that the Mercury outlook(planet ruling the 1st house outlook) is sensitized to collective stimuli and easily exhausted or just muddled in thinking. Personally I find Mercury in 12th very creative thinkers and writers(especially when Mercury is in Gemini as is in your case). Take that into consideration when we see that Jupiter is in the 10th house. So on the career front, there is a philosophical outlook that influences its outcome. Jupiter also "opens" options up. In that one can be so interested in many things and dabble in many things, but grow restless if they offer no real lasting passion. So Jupiter in warrior Aries is "I can do anything". But the next question after that statement usually is.." But what exactly?" My advise would be to keep an open mind and doing whatever you feel. Something will grab your attention. With Jupiter( natural traditional co-ruler of the 12th in 10th) and Mercury (natal ruler of the 1st house in 12), it is likely something that benefits the collective in some way i.e NGO work, Government Job, Military(Especially with Moon.Saturn in 6th and Mars ruling the 6th) etc. Keep doing the odd jobs and don't get discouraged. You will stumble into it and it will definitely feel much better than the frustration of not doing anything. You have Moon/Saturn conjunct in 6th.Your inner self(Moon) wants to be useful(6th). So the guilt of being idle (Saturn co-rules your Mc and conjuncts Moon) can pile up. Stay active. It will come out right. I don't know about the whole "partner" thing that you mentioned:With Mars in 1st and Uranus/Neptune in 7th, a partner will likely have to give you a lot of freedom. Or they will undermine (Neptune) or add to your frustration due to being unreliable (Uranus). But the ruler of the 7th(Jupiter) is in the 10th. So the partner can help career-wise by being in your corner. But it will have to be someone void of the above mentioned traits suggested by planets in the 7th. Try to find the inner motivation to stay interested and diversify your skills instead. Where you catch interest, develop that. A partner will come after that and should not be the catalyst that you are waiting with bated breath for. Good luck! IP: Logged |

Mars and Saturn in 10th in Gemini, sextile Aries Sun in 8th and trine Uranus in 2nd. 44, and still not got off the ground. Almost continuously turned down for jobs because of being "overqualified", and have had to do some really insipid, stupid jobs, almost never the ones I wanted. This is despite making a real effort at interviews. I have been turned down for jobs for which I had the minimum qualification, because they said I was "too good". ! Self-employment is nice from the point of view that I have really been able to shine, self-express and show what I can do. Never made money from it though. It's hard being a lone bandit. I've found that I have continuously had to rebuild and start careers afresh when the one I was in was no longer relevant. I have found it a real struggle. IP: Logged |

I have Mars and Saturn conjunct in 10H. I am 40 and about to go and retrain, I think, next year into a new career. I will do my Diploma first the maybe continue on to do the degree. If I do, I will be 44 years old when I complete my degree. The main reason if I do the degree is that I would likely be paid $50k more a year. I've had some amazing luck though scoring a career in corporate when all my my colleagues and business degrees and I didn't. I do notice that I like to change careers though, probably as I get easily bored. That however is my moon conjunct uranus aspect. IP: Logged |

Venus, Mars and NN in 10th. Cap Moon. Very late bloomer. Got my degree in my 20s, took time off to have a family. Went back to school in my mid 30s. Now I finished my second degree, and am currently attempting to establish some sort of career. I feel pretty lost in it all at the moment, to be honest! Aries, I appreciated the statement about Venus on the MC being reticent to jump in to it due to the pressure... very accurate and something I had not considered before. Mine is also Virgo, so I become immobilized looking for perfection on top of all of this... so now if my Mars would just kick back in, that would be great! Hahahahaha IP: Logged |

I am seeing that when the MC ruler is on the DC is like outside forces beyond their control or interpesonal dynamics get in the way of success. Almost like they don't feel they have control over their destiny when it comes to their career so there is always an excuse as to why they don't succeed but it comes down to this learned helplessness bc the native feels their success/career is not really in their hands but in the hands of others and the world, they feel is not in their control whether they succeed or not subconsciously. Or they feel they need to rely on others to succeed so if you succeed with this aspect you are probably good at networking and building relationships and this allows you to get jobs and advance if you become VERY good at this. My partner has Uranus ruling his MC and Mars conjunct Uranus right on this DC. When he gets a job he often becomes extremely irritated by the interpersonal dynamics at the workplace and stresses a lot over it which leads to him feeling overwhelmed and very unhappy which leads to him quitting, so is like others have too much influence on his mood in the work place. Do to this he wants to work alone and be his own boss, have his own business which has proven to be challenging but it would be a good fit for him to have a business he runs from home since Venus his chart ruler in Leo falls in the 4th and squares his Mars conjunct Uranus (MC Ruler) on his DC. But again he depends on so many outside factors like with scorpio on his DC conjunct Mars and Uranus he depends on others to fund his business or to get a loan approved.

Girl, I totally get it. Sun in midheaven is tricky because everybody is watching you, so ultimately you might have setbacks due to your ego, or someone else's ego interfering with your progress. IP: Logged |
