What would this placement indicate? I have MC in Taurus and Venus in the 8th house.

Famous(Mc) for being an investigator (ruler in 8th),working with money or a field related to death.

When Venus is there, it shows enjoyment of 8th house things.

With Venus ruling the Mc, you want to enjoy your career or infuse creativity in it.

Thank you
I like Psychology and Mortuary Science. But I don't know which suits me more.

I have the ruler of MC (Jupiter) in my 8th house in Scorpio. Also my 8th house ruler ( Venus) is in my 8th too.
My job is that of creativity but has nothing to do with death or other people's money.

I have several planets in my 8th house. So that could make a difference. I'm currently in school for Massage Therapy. I'll be finished in Feburary but I still want to do something else as well. I find things related to death and psychology interesting. I follow pages and groups in regards to both subjects on Facebook. I like horror movies and like reading about Serial Killers.

Aqua MC (conjunct Mercury) with Uranus in 8th house conjunct Saturn, Neptune, and Venus.

I think I want to be a shadow worker but with a unique twist. I'm waiting for this damn epiphany lol

I can see why you can be a little confused. But I think that showing interest in those areas does cement the 8th house affiliation.

Thing is that Mars in Gemini is also on the Midheaven. And from my experience, Gemini adds duplicity which can double as confusion

Add to that your Mc ruler is in changeable Pisces and the Moon in 6th is in erratic and "switch it up" Aqua.

If you make your career choice intellectually stimulating, it will work. As Mars is drive and in Chaldean astrology, the 3rd house is skills and talents.

So with Mars in Gemini, you are inspired by puzzles and anything intellectually engaging. And that is supported by the trine aspect of Moon in Aqua(6th house).

Try psychology as I think that that will suit your "I like to see what makes people tick" nature of air signs -more specifically Gemini.

Personally, I don't see Gemini being happy dealing with a corpse. That seems more Scorpio/Cap suited.

Yeah but the issue with Psychology is that it would take at least six years of schooling.

I remember being at that stage trying to figure out what to do @ChildofVenus. My MC ruler (Uranus) also in the eighth, and got Gemini rising. I actually considered psychology for a long time, amongst a bunch of other stuff. In the end I decided to ditch it all since schooling will just take forever. Kinda taken on an entrepreneurial approach... In the process of setting up my online shop... You might like the same style idea (Gemini Mars and business/selling kinda stuff), but perhaps maybe sell astrology related stuff which is 'eighth house-deep like'?

Or perhaps something Venus/Pisces like, such as art... The dark sort I'd think with the eighth house... Doesn't necessarily need to be art, can be makeup or such. (actually obsessed now with the idea of editorial makeup, the Avant Garde twist to it - kinda Aquarius-like so makes sense)

The 8th house is ruled by Scorpio anyway.

Mortuary Science is four years if I go full time five or six part time. To become a psychologist it could take me 10 years. That's way too long especially since I'm in my early 30's. If I went for Mortuary Science I would be 38 or 39 when I finish.

What does a few years matter in the long run when you do something that fits you? It’s so irrelevant to me.
I would rather study a few years more and do something what I think is totally MY KINDA job, than base my decision for my whole future on literally a 4 years difference.... but that’s me.
If you’re lucky you’ll work in the chosen field for 30 years (or more) so relatively those 4 years don’t really matter a lot or ... yeah I don’t know. Maybe you’re like well you know what, EVERY DAY EXTRA MATTERS TO ME OKAY. If so, I will shut up now

I feel you. I have my Moon in 3rd, Sun in 9th and Mars in 6th house and I HATE things that drag on and are long-winded.

But say you take your time with it? Say do it whilst working or busy with other things (Gemini likes to multi-task)

I am studying towards a teacher qualification myself. So when done,I want to also go into psychology. And I do find the years quite daunting.

In my country, it can take up to 10 years. But I feel like Psychology is not a "young person" degree.

It requires experience and maturity that age brings so one is less naive about life and is thus less judgmental of people

I have MC ruler in 8th and several 8th house planets and asteroids and I’ve never been interested in an 8th house career. I actually get so annoyed when family and friends tell me to pursue those careers, they BORE the living lights out of me. I do enjoy analyzing and researching but only when it’s something I enjoy. I can’t be a criminologist or a psychologist or a therapist or any of that stuff because it bores me. I much prefer to pursue a Piscean career since my MC is in Pisces. Also my south node is in the 8th so maybe thats why I detest the idea of an 8th house career. I much prefer Venusian and Neptunian careers and am thinking of going with fashion design since I love drawing and am good with figuring out what’s good on female bodies.

I think you should just pick whatever makes you happiest and most comfortable. One thing with the 8th house is that if you pick a job that is boring or useless to you and your happiness you will probably suffer from depression and maybe even consider suicide. I noticed this is very common with people whose MC house is connected to the water signs and houses. They are most susceptible to suffering from a job they hate. The ones who genuinely lose their minds in jobs they cant suffice.

When I was in elementary school like in first grade I use to rent books on Ancient Egypt and Mummies. I actually use to get into trouble for not bringing them back.

Yeah I hate doing jobs that I don't ignore. I agree with what you mentioned about South Node being in your 8th house. My Mars is in Gemini but Mercury the ruler of Gemini is also in my 8th house. I hate the fact that's difficult for me to make a choice.

I've been told that I'm an old soul lol. I guess it's the Moon/Saturn. I enjoy working with the elderly. And they always ask me for help like whenever I'm In the grocery store. They always come up to me of they need help finding something.

Well there is a lot more to it than just looking at corpses. I like being to myself a lot I do like Psychology. But I would have to talk to people everyday about their problems. With Mortuary Science I would only have to speak with families about funeral arrangements.
