I guess it depends on how one would define trauma. 5 or 6 years ago I went through a severe depression. It was in 2013. It came suddenly and unexpectedly. Of course there were some signs leading up to that point. But I didn’t realize. For months before I hit the depression I was experiencing anxiety. But I thought it was just nervousness. I didn’t tell anyone about how I was feeling. Then one day when I went back to school, after Thanksgiving break it just hit me. My mind was spinning, my heart was racing. I felt sick. Knots in my stomach. I couldn’t eat couldn’t sleep, so I had to be taken to the hospital. My mind was restless.. I was restless. It was the ugliest thing Ive ever experienced and to this day. I cried everyday I want to end my life, but I was too afraid. I almost admitted myself into a mental institution, but my parents wouldn’t allow. They said I don’t belong there. Im not crazy. But I felt like I wasn’t right inside. Over time I got a bit better. But I was severe like that for a whole month. 24/7 my mind restless crying, all that. And when you are like that the days feel extremely long, so a month felt like a year. Absolutely no calm or relief. Im still affected to this day. Im scared day in and out because I never know what can happen to me. I have trust issues. Im always scared. If that is considered trauma, then I guess it’s that. I just don’t know maybe trauma means something different. But yeah that’s my experience.------------------ I appreciate the masterpiece that is you, because your existence alone is art IP: Logged |

There is a reason why my 12th house is empty and in Pisces. Pisces is indeed good for the 12th house as it is a muddled passive energy that evades conscious awareness.I find that people with planets in 12th tend to focus on their "internal" experience of life a lot and do not go living life from the body conscious point of view(1st house) So the monastic, spirituality focused life and all those related areas, are very attractive for them. Up to the point that they may wish "dissociation" with physical body altogether. I had transit Saturn in Pisces in 12th when I got my car accident. And it didn't affect me deeply until some time later(perhaps delayed post traumatic stress disorder?) When Saturn entered the 12th house, I do recall that i feared travelling in a car for long distances and would stay awake for fear that if I slept, something awful would happen. So an Aries Asc (like me) with Mars/Saturn in 12th would unconsciously fear violence or physical harm. So their approach to life would be more cautious and downplay the more "devil may care" nature of Aries. This is of course barring Sun in 1st house which often strengthens the body and gives confidence( this especially when Jupiter/Pluto aspects the Sun). IP: Logged |

I have pluto (libra) and moon/uranus (scorpio) in 12H. My life has not been easy. But at least it was traumatic in the developed first world than the 3rd world. And then the pluto transit hit my Asc and what a time of death and rebirth! But its all a learning curve right? IP: Logged |

I have Pluto in 12th house. I've experienced sexual trauma, but it was a one-time thing. My romantic relationships with men are just strained now. IP: Logged |

What was transit saturn activating in your chart? Was it squaring your 3rd house ruler by any chance? I just don't think tr saturn through the 12th would result in this unless is making an aspect to something else in your chart not related to the 12th house. IP: Logged |

PTSD is basically trauma that leads to mental health issues, but some people have not experienced trauma and have mental health issues. Although 25% of people who experience trauma end up with PTSD not everyone who experiences trauma develops PTSD, mental health issues or substance abuse issues. There is also a high correlation between trauma and substance abuse. But to complicate things then there is cumulative trauma in integrative psychotherapy, which is like when your needs were not met consistently by one of your parents or you did not feel connected and understood by one or both of your parents, this overtime has a cumulative effect and impacts greatly your self worth which can then lead to mental health issues like depression and or anxiety. Then there is complex trauma! Which is systemic (impacting multiple people in the family) and passed down from generation to generation. Trauma is often a pluto thing (hard aspects like conjunction, square or opposition), mental health issues is often a 12th house thing. Some people struggle with anxiety and then develop depression as a result of the anxiety and not been able to manage the anxiety, it takes a toll on you and can lead to depression due to feeling helpless and it impacting so much your daily functioning over time. I was 16 almost 17. It was my Junior year in high school. But you know Ive always didn’t feel quite right since I was little. I think it just completely manifested itself once I hit that age or had or my environmental circumstances. You said you have Schizophrenia right? I think I remember hearing that Schizophrenia tends to manifest itself not until someone is in their 20’s. ------------------ I appreciate the masterpiece that is you, because your existence alone is art IP: Logged |

Oh my gosh I think you’ve had it much harder than me. Most of my self undoing has been internally, mentally, but you’ve had to go through hardships that were completely out of your control. This is why I dislike saying my life is bad or I had it bad. I know that there are others out there that have it harder. I hope you never ever have to go through torture (honestly I fear I have) or any of those things in the past again. I hope nothing but good comes your way. I also have a habit of thinking the worst possible things! You already beem through a lot. I think from now only you’ll only grow stronger. I also had problems in school. Not bullying but I hated school and the kids. Kids in school are mean and ruthless. I had trouble socializing and couldn’t make friends easily. A lot of the tines a stood alone in class and during break time. But Im stronger now and so are you.

I have sun, venus, mercury, and chiron in the 12th. Before I was born my mother was in a car accident that basically left her with the mind of a young teenager... Forever. So she's been more of a sister my whole life. She got the basics of being a mom, feeding, bathing, send me to school but that's as far as it went. My father committed suicide when I was 16, probably the sun conjunct chiron. I could go on for days but still, I've taken it all in stride. At this point I don't think anything could stop me 😂 IP: Logged |

I have Moon in Virgo in the 12th. My life has generally been fairly easy and free of painful events. What trauma there has been was connected to my bipolar mother and her manic periods. I don't have any mental health issues myself or any other lingering trauma effects. IP: Logged |

Gemini moon in 12th house... I think my mother is undiagnosed borderline. Being pregnant and giving birth were traumatic events for me... I had to lay in bed for 9 months straight plus the aftermath of giving birth was really traumatic. I was also in a car crash 5 years ago.. got whiplash + concussion and am still affected to this day... IP: Logged |

I've Sun/Mercury in 12th and Sun quincunx Pluto. I don't think I've experienced any trauma that's SO bad that it haunts my life.

I have 3 planets (Uranus, Neptune, Saturn) in my 12th house. Yes, there's been lots of trauma. I don't want to dive into any of it here on a public forum, though.IP: Logged |
