Parallels are read as conjunction and contra-parallels are read as opposition. Orb has to be 1° +/-. It connects 2 otherwise unaspected planets or serves to enhance the energy of 2 aspected planets. I'm not sure if it has the same effect as conjunction/opposition though. Perhaps yes but with lesser intensity? But thanks for this thread cos I've not really looked at this before. Just realised that we've composite Asc parallel our Sun/Venus/Mercury/Psyche stellium and a whole lot of contra-parallels to it (Neptune/Vertex/Pallas/Vesta). Composite Jupiter also parallel Saturn. Yeah I know they have to be tight.
I have a Ve-Ma parallel, Ve-Sun contraparallel and Ma-Sun parallel with someone.
I think parallels definitely have an effect in the natal.I have moon contraparallel Uranus exact and it explains a lot about my emotions and my tendency to need freedom and then cleseness in the next moment. IP: Logged |
