Im a Pisces myself. I have encountered a couple girls that are double Pisces. Sun and moon. I was surprised to find that they were Pisces and also moon Pisces at that! They kind of came off kind of stuck up almost like they think they were all that and a bit sort of superficial. Like they were fake or something. They didn’t seem genuine. It surprised me honestly. Especially cause one of them had even more Pisces placements then myself with moon in Pisces she must be a true Pisces through and through. And I don’t understand how these Pisces girls didn’t seem genuine or sincere. I think one of them didn’t even tell their best friend their boyfriend was cheating on them even though she knew. I would think it would be the opposite and not phony and insincere. And they are double Pisces so more true Pisces right? Is this how Pisces really are?

I’ve known Pisces who “seem” superficial... They can seem Venusian sometimes, with the kinds of virtues and flaws you’d expect from Libra or Taurus.
Neptune is considered a higher octave of Venus.

But I have never known a Pisces who actually *is* superficial... once you get to know them on a deeper level. And definitely not a Pisces Moon. This is the hardest Moon sign in my opinion - so they really go through a lot emotionally.

When you have problems getting along with someone... and there doesn’t seem to be an explanation in Western astrology - check out your Chinese signs also.
For instance a Pisces who is a Dragon in Chinese Astro, could appear more confident or arrogant... than a Pisces who is a softer sign like the Goat or Pig.

From what I've seen Moon in Pisces actively try to blend in, so they may seem superficial as they can blend in anywhere, it's just that they are very fluid in nature.

I don't think you can say of any zodiac sign that they are good or bad, but if they are pisces (especially the ascendant), they will appear nice but not necessarily be genuine or truly nice. Do you have their full birth data? There's so many other things that play a role in their personality..

Yes, I've noted that, too. They try to blend in, become like whoever they are with, deflect, put on a persona.

Sometimes it seems like their version of self defense. In the astrology book by Joanna Martine Woolfold, she described Pisces women as: "a woman of a thousand faces."

Someone who seems deep can be very superficial on the inside, meanwhile someone who seems superficial can be quite deep. It's not cut and dry with anyone.

I tend to find people who are so overly concerned with seeming deep and obsessed with their "deep" appearance to the point of denying anything that seems "shallow" are the ones who are most shallow.

These chick's you're talking about might be just vapid and really shallow as you say, however, something to think about is: someone who's shallow and fake dreads being thought of as shallow or being seen as shallow, and will do their best to cover it up.

I do note as well sometimes that Pisces can seem very amoral. It can come off as "above it all" at times, because really, sometimes they are indifferent to "human quirks and melodramas"

^ Yeah I've never really had morals and codes and even ethics. Same can be said about my Pisces Moon friends and other Pisces Sun friends who get along with whatever or whomever, even Justin Bieber lol. Deep, yeah the ones who are don't really brag.

Funnily I too didn't really let my Scorpio friend know when he was being cheated on by his Scorpio girlfriend with another friend of mine, though later on he too almost cheated on her with another friend of mine but was unsuccessful lol. Me and a Cancer guy were witnessing it all lol and the Cancer guy just happened to have loved that girlfriend of Scorpio friend madly for more than a year but had never made the move. And the guy with whom she cheated on him was the best friend of the Cancer guy.

My ex is a Pisces moon and truly the most superficial man I’ve ever met. He has an aqua sun. He is a wanna be rapper and signs about having sex with girls and shooting people and all that typical stuff

Its called adapting to your environment, if you blend in you wont get shot/killed and will survive long enough to pass down your genes. There is a place for been brave and 100% authentic and there are situations when being brave and not blending in means making yourself a huge target and losing everything you have worked hard for so essentially social suicide with real consequences. We are social animals and humans can be very judgemental and we need each other to survive so been an outcast can be one of the most painful things humans can experience and it can cost you your life so some people choose to blend in bc they know humans can be judgemental and make you their enemy just bc they have different political views for example. Apparently been a realist about human nature and choosing to blend in makes you fake and superficial, not smart and socially adaptive.

I know very well who I am but I wont show all of me to everyone who crosses my path. I decide that case by case.

I dont think this is a pisces thing though, this is a human instinct thing, this is why we have an IC and an MC. Nobody is 100% authentic all the time with everyone. If you are drinking and driving and a cop pulls you over, you arent going to come out and say you are drunk. If your boss has radically different political views from yours and you know she clearly plays favorites with people who signal similar views to hers you arent going to sit there and have a political discussion with her. Not if you want to have a peaceful work environment and feel accepted and included by your team. You figure out what parts of them you can relate to and connect with them in that way.

I have moon in pisces and since I was a kid I wanted to help build up others so your ex being that way probably has more to do with his upbringing, people who are abusive usually are victims of abuse themselves and are just repeating the cycle of abuse they learned as children. He probably didn't grow up in a stable home so did not develop his own identity and had to turn to pop culture to develop his identity using what the media taught him was cool. When a guy doesn't have a consistent strong healthy male role model as a father growing up it can lead to trying to fill that void through media and so his ideas of what a men is gets defined through that.

As someone who has Sun in pisces do you feel you are fake and superficial?

I think I can tell the difference between someone who is more then what meets the eye. Im not saying someone deep is going to be bragging or constantly talking about deep things to make themselves seem deep. I agree to me that shows the opposite. It’s just a feeling I have about them. The impression I get. I dont know who theyd be feeding off to mask because both are social media people. One is on YouTube and does a lot if her videos alone, and Ive seen her enteract with different people, she acts the same. Most of them act the same it doesn’t matter who they are with. It’s just that this is the 2nd double Pisces Ive known of that come off a bit fake. I had a friend who was also a Pisces only born a week after me, she waa kind of fake too. I always got the impression she didn’t really like me but acted like she did. She acted all nice and bubbly but it seemed overdone. Then we stopped being friends and she talked crap about me. But in any case I don’t know them all that well it’s just a feeling I got from them. I have known of others Pisces who don’t come off that way and seem like genuine people. Just the double Pisces that come off this way. Of course not all, I was just wondering if this was tge true nature of Pisces. I get the whole kind of masking thing because in a way I do that also, depending on who Im around I will try to blend in with them a bit, but I still remain myself I don’t change into a whole different person. If this is the case then how do we ever know Pisces peoples nature?

Hmm we all adapt yes, Pisces Moon is highly adaptable though and this changeable nature might come off as them being fake to someone more constant like say fixed placements ? But it simply is its mutable nature, nothing superficial about that I'd say.

I don’t think she means to say all Pisces moons are superficial. She’s just giving an example of someone she knows. No need to get hasty. From my experience not all Pisces mooners are super empathetic as they say. Look at Richard Ramirez, he’s a double Pisces and he was a brutal serial killer! But then there are people other double Pisces who Im sure would never do that. This stuff remains a mystery.

What kind of things can affect it? I don’t have none of their birth times so Im basing this off of the chart with no birth times.

No.... I find them very genuine. We all have a choice, but I love my Pisceans, they're creative, warm-hearted, loyal and whilst they are moody they usually have a wonderful sense of humour.

I have a friend with Sun-Moon conjunct in Pisces and Mercury there too. I would never describe him as 'stuck up' sure he's aloof and definitely 'self-sufficient' (a frequent trait in New Mooners). If you met him for the first time he may seem all kinds of things, a lot of people do come over very different to how they really are when you get to know them.

Many Pisces are shy, and very often empaths, so they can struggle in groups or with complex environments. ♥

I dont feel is a mystery, you have to look at the whole chart and specially Mars when looking at murderers bc murdering someone is an action, I would think an afflicted moon with an afflicted mars would be involved, its not about your sun and moon placements but more about your moon and mars aspects and your upbringing and if the native has a history of trauma.

Yes!! Very good point, they don't follow 'societal rules' although they don't make a point of breaking them, they simply don't see the same boundaries. Very true!!

Hi, Pisces sun and pisces moon here. Nope, not superficial in the slightest. Granted my sun and moon conjunction square Saturn, so maybe it grounds me?

And with regards to your post, I don't know the girl and their best friend's relationship but maybe not everyone is comfortable telling them that their bf is cheating on them. I don't think it's phony or insincere to not tell someone that. Maybe they haven't found the right time to do so, or maybe they don't think it's their place to do so.

I think you are getting the wrong idea of what I mean by fake and superficial. Making superficial isnt the right word, sorry Im horrible at description. And I dont mean someone showing all of themselves. I wouldn’t call that fake. I understand society is harsh. Ive been there, Ive literally have been truthful or even more vulnerable and it just hurts you in the end. I get that. That’s not what I mean. And honestly I didn’t mean for this to be taken seriously, I was just wondering from my observation of a double Pisces, this has come up and I was simply wondering if this is the true nature of Pisces or do tey maybe have other things coming to play on their personality. Say maybe the houses they are in. Can it make that much of a difference? Because I have no idea what their birthtime is. It’s not an attack on these placements. That’s why I was reluctant to post this I didn’t want anyone to take it the wrong way. I have met different people and different placements that all came out differently.
I think it’s a bit strange though how we judge a person by their chart, automatically thinking they are one way because of their placements. Like automatically seeing a person one way(say they come off superficial) then looking up their chart and discovering they have a water moon, so then people will say they aren’t superficial but just off that way. But then take the same exact person and find out he has a Libra moon... then people will ge like oh yeah they’re superficial. Like automatically you are what your chart says. Instead seeing the person in front of you. A water moon could be superficial so why do people think you can’t be just because?
And again though I don’t mean all. Of course there are unsuperficial water moons, that’s where the expectations come from.

Im just saying that the moon (your emotional nature) it seems strange that a Pisces moon who would be extremely empathetic could ever bring themselves to inflict pain on others.

Like I said we need to look at his mars too, IC ruler and 4th house placements but thinking about your point got me thinking...

Since pisces absorbs its environment, I could see how someone who has moon in pisces who grew up in a very toxic environment may internalize all that toxicity and become it mirroring for others what he absorbed growing up.

As someone who has moon in pisces square neptune who has a suuuuuper empathatic mother who feels bad about killing ants and who is very spiritual and supportive I internalized that energy growing up and mirror it back to others.

These Pisces girls I know don’t come off shy to me. They have to be more extraverted than myself because they put themselves up on social media, and I myself as also a Pisces (introverted one at that) couldn’t do that so that surprised me. Im not good at all in social environments. I know other really nice Pisces. In fact I didn’t mention another double Pisces I know of because she doesn’t apply here and she doesn’t come off fake and superficial like the other two to me. She’s really nice. Again though I am one myself, Im dominant Pisces and 12th houser, so I feel very familiar with Pisces energy. Although I don’t have a Pisces moon, my moon is in the 12th house, so I wondered if this is typical for a Pisces sun and moon person.

Yeah I don’t really understand that though. That’s not being loyal to your friend. That’s not a genuine friend to me either. It’s not like they are a stranger and it isn’t your business, they are your best friend. It would be worse for her to find out on her own after all this time, then to have her best friend find a way to tell her. They broke up their friendship because of that. I would only hope my friend wouldn’t do that to me.

I think you are taking it too personally. Im not saying that you must be that way because you have a Pisces moon. Im just giving out examples. There are plenty of examples that show Pisces moon as compassionate. Read Pisces moon description no one thinks that way of Pisces mooners. Im just giving an outlier example. Im sure you’re not that way. Im not saying you are.

I am not taking it personally lol and I don't think this thread is about me at all, I am exploring human behavior but also care about accuracy a lot. I am actually entertaining the idea that a moon in pisces could be a seriel killer and how exploring their childhood upbringing and the entire chart could explain this. When people pick on any placement I always do what I am doing now on this thread with all signs bc I dont feel the placement can explain a negative trait on its own like your thread about your grandpa, you thought he was the way he was bc of one placement and then I find out his moon and mars are BOTH afflicted, its in my nature to push to investigate and look at things more deeply and get to the core. Its a fun process and I do this with all signs and placements, I feel I have done this in so many of your threads by now that you would understand I always feel you have to look at the whole chart to get to the core of a behavior and not single out one placement. This is not about me, this is about my need to be thorough and investigate things at a deeper level, I do this always.
