Do these people tend to be on the heavier side? I know a guy with this placement and his weight fluctuates. A lot of times he's on the heavier side.

People I've known with cancer rising have either been naturally very thin or naturally quite chubby or heavy. I think constant weight fluctuation has to do with aspects, although I'm not sure which...

Yes, I agree. They fluctuate weight a lot. Either very chubby and plump or very skinny and taunt. The ones that are typically on the heavier side I've seen typically have Pisces, Taurus, Scorpio, or Sagittarius. The skinny and taunt ones are more Libra and Virgo.

When it comes to weight, I'd consider quite a few different points very relevant - not just the ASC. Venus, Moon, ASC aspects, ASC Ruler, First House - in that order generally. Sun is always relevant as it represents who we "want" to be, too.

I have cancer ascendant and my weight fluctuates a lot. I'm either very toned and skinny or plain fat. Most of the time, I'm on the heavier side.

My SIL is Cancer Rising and she’s very overweight. Unfortunately for her, she also came from a mother that would always force food on her. She actually been chubby since she was a toddler.

Mine is on the cusp so it could be 29 Gemini or 0 Cancer. My weight is right for my height and has been the same for probably a decade now or longer.

The famous Cancer Asc that come to mind are Julia Roberts and Angelina Jolie. Julia Roberts seems to be pretty healthy and not fluctuating much in weight. Angelina Jolie has always had emotional and psychological issues and seems underweight these days.

Oh and I just remembered Liv Tyler. She is curvy .. but not overweight... probably more so a “classic” Cancer look, because she is also a Cancer Sun sign.
