So I'm thinking of taking a wild twist to marketing based on people's birthdays. I need you guys's input... The site I just launched looks rather unique in my opinion and sells DIY products. If you wanna check it out to have a better idea of what I'm referring to... It's quiunum.com. So I'm thinking... First what would cause a person to 'use' or 'value' their own crafted stuff. I'm thinking Venus to Moon... Or a strongly aspected Moon maybe by Jupiter which would give one confidence to pride themselves with it. Then, given the style of my site, I think one would have to want to stay there and figure out what's going on. I should probably make it simpler, but my vision for this was rather its' uniqueness. So I'm thinking Uranus to Venus maybe. Or perhaps even Neptune, since it does have an artsy feel to it I think. (Probably Uranus to Moon would kill it all, since it wouldn't wanna put forth inner emotions or display such, and wanting to create your own stuff would require the opposite. So maybe Neptune to Moon would help here) Then a strong Mercury. Like Mercury to Uranus. Or Mercury in Aquarius. Mercury in Virgo. Or an unaspected Mercury even. Probably this one is required based on the difficulty level vs just the DIY idea. But I think one would need to have the patience to think. So an abrupt Mercury would make someone ADD'ish? Or Mercury in a fire sign without some 'groundedness' like a fixed sign. Then the Mars probably the most important as far as buying ultimately and 'sitting through it'. So I think Mars to Saturn gives one the most patience maybe. And like being in Virgo or something. Like dealing with the nitty gritty of stuff. Anyway lemme know what you guys think! If I'm missing something. And if any of you have any further input. Thanks! House placements would be irrelevant here since closest I could get to placements and aspects is by the given birth date only. IP: Logged |

I don't understand? Are you looking for an opinion on your website appearance? You have no content there... but you sure have your 'ways to pay' very obvious! Go gurl!!! So.. What'up?? What are you trying to do? What are you really selling? "DIY" -- is that 'Do It Yourself' zodiac crafts? .. What kind of advice are you actually looking for? How are you going to find your customers? Congratulations on having the audacity to do it. Good Luck to you!

Thanks @mirage29 for your feedback! My initial thought was to market to those with certain astrological placements. Thought FB ads work in a way where you can filter it based on certain birthdates. Apparently that isn't the case. So I guess I'll just have to take on the conventional approach somewhat. But based on what you are saying... That it has no content... I mean you're not the only one claiming that it's difficult to figure out what's going on there lol. I thought maybe a 'shop now' button right up top on the actual image would help? (BTW is it obvious the fact that the 'know it all' and 'dabbler' boxes are clickable collections?) So it's just do it yourself stuff. Not necessarily Astrology related. And thanks for the support 😉 And hey any further critic is welcome of course. IP: Logged |

I went back to your website, clicked 'know it all' and 'dabbler' and found your pretty items. Nice. My first experience/impression was that you hadn't done anything there yet, except to create what looks like a 'poster'. I had clicked around your poster.. got to the point of the checkmarks over the financial images, and customer satisfaction.. clicked those, and nothing had happened. After most of your front page didn't seem active, it was not "apparent" to me that know it all and dabbler were 'clickable'. Also, if I was a curious person clicking on your site, I'd have no idea what you are about. Somehow people need to know you sell (artistic) products. Some kinds of nice explanation would be intriguing. The terms know it all and dabbler … made no sense to me. What are you appealing to? I'd say to move 'know it all' and 'dabbler' UP closer to the top of that page. I'd reduce/shrink the images regarding money, and move those closer to the bottom. I want to be intrigued on first-look. btw.. Why isn't the image for Customer Satisfaction clickable? Even if it's empty for now, you could place some kind of cute invitation there. So! You have that giant red rectangle first-up and huge on your page.. nothing is 'clickable' on it, around it. That's all valuable space to GRAB your customer's interest, and hold them there. I'd love to see an "About me" link. Your stuff is very pretty. Nice arranging. Keep up the good work! .. IP: Logged |

Thanks so much. Really valuable input. (sometimes you just need an outsider) I for some reason wanted to avoid having any menu options... So I put the 'about us' in the footer menu. I guess I should reconsider cuz that's probably something people are searching for instantly. What do you think of the 'shop now' on the image? I guess covering for the wasted space. Somewhat like the below image. And given this, would you still put the 3 icons below the know it all and dabbler? Say if I just minimize the image size of those icons... (And I'm hoping to make it clickable sometime in the future, since some coding would need to be involved and don't feel like hiring anyone as of yet.) IP: Logged |

I stopped too soon!!! My 'feel' was that your showing was "complete" once you invited people to subscribe to your emails. omg... You have those beautiful blocks that move as you move mouse around. Those need to go UP?? LOL Show your products FIRST, then all the money exchanging and email subscribing Later! I saw the "About me" .. all the way at the bottom. Why not make your 'logo' click to a page?

I use a desktop, and don't own an iPhone. I understand that iPhones really limit the amount of space you have to 'present' what you have. Why do you have that column on the left with words Aura? Where's "shop now?" Is it an icon? http://www.quiunum.com/

Lol just created that mockup on my phone. I just drew it. So you get an idea of what I was thinking of doing. Didn't actually do it yet. IP: Logged |

Lol you crack me up. It's not really the money exchanging. It's more about infusing trust sorta? If that makes sense. But you're making sense too, think I'll just move it down as you said. Thanks! And thought it would be best if the logo takes you back home? Like if you're within a collection, you just click the logo to go back to the home page. What do you think? IP: Logged |

Ah!! I see. (About the 'trust'. Makes sense.) I went in further to look at the individual products. Soooo detail-oriented and clean! Soothing.I love "puns" too. YOU crack me up! Adds to the experience! All Pretty/The tiny doll house room.. I don't understand 'over-slowing' ? Once customer clicks in, the presentation of paying by paypal is easy and great. ~oy! I got a note "supposedly" from paypal today, that until I prove my identity, they have suspended my account. I'm scared!!! hahahaha. Could this be a 'scam'? This is where email is from-- copy-pasted. ----------------------------- "| Service |" <Re-payserviceupdate@cox.net.com> You have 1 update today ! Dear Customer, Please note that your account has been suspended temporarily for security reasons and we ask you that you will update your data in order to avoid to close the account. We thank you for your cooperation with us and for your understanding attitude. {{{Confirm your identity}}} Your account will remain suspended while making sure your identity. --------------------------------- That whole 'notice' is poorly written. Haha that's more so with the way it sounds vs being an actual pun. Instead of 'overflowing with joy'... Given that this dollhouse requires attention to be put to it by putting together these small parts, hence 'slowing'. So yeah. Over-slowing with toy, given that it is in fact a toy. Lol that's probably too complicated. But thanks so much for your input! I really appreciate it. About your email, what is the 'from' email address? And do they include any links in the email? (Don't click on any, just see when hovering on it where it'll lead you to. If the domain ends in @paypal.com then it's probably not a scam. Same with the email, if it ends in @paypal.com it's probably legit) IP: Logged |

Just realized the from email address. Re-payserviceupdate@cox.net.com definitely a scam. No email ends in @cox.net.com. You can rest assured you're ok lol. IP: Logged |

(Thanks for the 'email' spam advice!)I think I see what you were trying to set up (according to zodiac info). You have an array of items for sale, and you are grouping them under headings you'd think would appeal to people with certain placements. Same items can appear under multiple categories. As you develop your website more, this would be a curious topic to explore. I liked that you gave customers a choice of lower price items (Disney stickers), among the higher priced ones. Next year, you can be ready for the Christmas Holidays! Include option of hearing Carols while a person shops? * * * * * * * * * * _____________________ Conversation continues @mirage29 January 10, 2019 4:50 a.m. - http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/240318.html

Sometimes they will create a clever e-mail address that has PayPal (or whatever the website's name is) in it. IP: Logged |
