What orb would you allow for sextiles made by sun? I'm not interested in outer planetsIP: Logged |

About 5°. The sextile is 60°, so orbs used for planets in this aspect need to be clear of the 51°26' septile (1/7th of 360°). If we allow a 2° orb for that aspect it stretches to 53.4°, necessarily limiting the sextile from intruding upon it.So while the luminaries, possibly Jupiter may get a bit more than just 5° leeway, weaker influences of smaller planets don't. ------------------ "Drift like a cloud and flow like water, seeing that all life is a magnificent illusion, a playing of energy, and there is absolutely nothing fundamentally to be afraid of." -- Alan Watts Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert Rectification IP: Logged |

Thank you! I have sun sextile mars 4'30 but it's separating and I'm afraid it's effect will diminish altogether as time goes by.IP: Logged |

That aspect is well within orb. It shows your natural tendency for good outward flow of life force into actions. It might need an extra nudging at times for full effect.Mars may have progressed towards exact sextile to natal Sun. Or if it was Rx, could come back to an exact sextile.

Would it be different with outer planets? And do we need to go tighter due to it not being close enough to earth or looser given that it's an outer planet and gives off more power?IP: Logged |
