I have this aspect and I think this the main culprit in why I have excessive masculine energy. I feel alive when I'm in aggression mode even though it makes me feel uncomfortable (Mars in Libra). Doing cardio and weight-lifting feels better to me than doing bodywieght exercise or yoga. I like dancing too, but I typically like livelier dance styles like tango and hiphop. I both lose weight and gain weight very easily, thanks to Jupiter also trine my ascendant. I'm confrontational but not in a very agressive martian way, more logical and calm when confronting somebody. When I was in hair school, I couldn't stand the girls at my school b**ching about their problems with the instructors. So I would be the one usually taking action and clearly letting the instructors know we're not happy with the way they treated some of us. I hate the "wait for others" group mentality thing. My body looks great when I'm fit and toned, not so much when I gain weight. Even then, my body looks like it should have muscles. I definitely have a strong personality and it comes out. I think if I didn't have Moon in the 1st house, I would probably end up looking like those female body builders. Nothing wrong with it, just a preference. I would hate to look masculine. People already perceive my energy to be like that. I've seen Mars-ASC aspects play out in men, and I can honestly say it suits them better. But I am thankful I do have this aspect because it does help me get things done. IP: Logged |

As you may be aware, we have the same mars and ascendant, but the orbs in my chart are too wide to be considered in aspect. When I was around your age, guys would ask me all the time if I worked out because I looked muscular (I didn’t). My body looks like I should have muscles too. I always attributed that to having Venus in the sign of the bull lol. I do have mars trine my chart ruler though. I’m outspoken when I feel like I need to be, which is hardly ever. Unless I see myself effecting sustainable change, I don’t even bother. Do you think having Venus in Virgo has anything to do with those fitness preferences? IP: Logged |

I have Mars trine my Scorpio Ascendant. The orb for this aspect in my chart is probably not as tight as yours, because the orb is 5 degrees. Mars is in extremely early Aries too so the aspect is out-of-sign. We're talking less than 10 minutes into Aries.I don't think I have too much masculine energy, but I've noticed I'm different from most women. This basically comes from me being a female INTP, which is less common compared to the male INTP. I'm starting to become more openly vocal and less willing to sit around in silence. While in some ways, I may seem more masculine, I'm still well in touch with my feminine side. The ways I differ from other women can be frustrating at times though. I am not a nurturer and I'm noticeably less passive. I also look like I should have more muscle. With Uranus approaching my 6th house, it's quite likely I could decide to get in shape soon. Because I'm a Taurus Sun, gaining muscle wouldn't affect how feminine I look. IP: Logged |

I have Mars square my Libra Ascendant. There is very little in any Mars in my appearance though, I'm very feminine-looking and bird boned... I'm blaiming that on Libra + the almost exact Neptune and Mercury squares that I also have. Both of those aspects are closer than my Mars/Ascendant.Mars is tightly conjunct Mercury though, and I'm opinionated to the point of bluntness, and definitely more masculine than feminine in my expression and communication. I've got the trine. Plus some Virgo, so they really don't like whiners. Thing is, I think the behavior you're describing is pretty normal for a woman. It's just normal, mature behavior you're describing. I actually find women who avoid speaking their mind, and have never been interested in physical activity to be repressed. I would say the same about men. Someone meek and inactive isn't necessarily masculine, just like men who mainly sit at their computers and avoid physical activity aren't necessarily girly. I have a wide trine in Sagittarius/Aries. I’m a lot more masculine looking than I am acting. But, I’m not really muscular either. IP: Logged |

I'm not sure. Maybe. I thought my Venus had nothing to do with it because it plays out only with my food preferences and how I want my body to look defined. Besides being defined through muscles, I do prefer the hourglass figure with a naturally well-defined waist. I like the perfect balance between the upper and lower body. IP: Logged |

I was thinking the same thing about still looking feminine having feminine influence from the different planets and signs. I still looked like a woman, full-figured but fit back then. It's just that sometimes, when people take photos of only my upper body, my shoulders made me look like a man (depending on pose and lighting). I hated my arms in highschool, although now I understand it's just the way my body type is. It's interesting you mention you are an INTP. My personality type is close to yours. I'm ENTP, which is also not common in females. IP: Logged |

I've Mars square Asc. I'm not masculine and don't have excessive masculine. I look as feminine as a woman can get, but this aspect makes me come across feisty.IP: Logged |
