Hi everyone,

Out of the sign on the house cusp, planet(s) in a house, ruler of the sign on the house cusp, and sign intercepted IN a house, I’m still slightly confused about the exact order of priority when it comes to analyzing house placements. For example, in my case, my Leo Sun is in the 2nd House. The sign on the cusp is Leo and it’s ruler, the Sun, is in the 2nd House. Which one has 1st priority? The fact that Leo is on the 2nd House cusp, that my Leo Sun is IN the 2nd House, or the ruler of the 2nd house being in the 2nd House? Which one has 2nd priority?

Always Look for repetition. If you get a theme 3times or more, its worth delving into. 3 is the magical number.

This is how I do.

Say I look at the 2nd house of self esteem

Say for instance the 2nd house is in Taurus with Moon there. Moon in Gemini(Placidus house system)

First consider Moon in that house-The Moon is changeable and fluctuating. So the natives self esteem fluctuates.

Then consider the sign that Moon is in-Gemini.

Consider the subtle influence of the ruling planet of sign the Moon is in. Gemini is ruled by Mercury

So now I can say that the natives self esteem tends to fluctuate based on everyday thoughts and what's happening around them(Mercury/Gemini Moon)

Consider aspects to the Moon i.e if Mars on Moon changes the flavour of the Moon(barring Moon in Aries/Scorpio).

So this may adds to the fluence of the sign ruler the Moon is in (Mercury).

The native has a fluctuating self esteem which is based on their chronic thought patterns. And the native tends to be hard/angry at themselves a lot(Mars). May even push themselves to be "better".

The self esteem thus tends to be based on how much the native is able to win(Mars). Intellectual pursuits to improve self-esteem are likely.

Now we look at sign on the house cusp(Taurus). With 2nd house in Taurus, the self esteem is built on what i "have" and what i want to "have". Confidence is built on "haves".

So applying what was said about Gemini, i see this person being a collector of prizes that build their self esteem i.e getting lots of degrees(Mercury), collection of books, academic achievements or even titles (Doctor, Professor etc).

Taurus is ruled by Venus And say Venus is in Leo. So this individual "shows off" a lor with regards to intellectual achievements. And this adds to their self esteem.

So perhaps Venus squares Saturn in Scorpio. Here there is limitation in recognizing ones achievements as 'enough'(Saturn).

With Saturn being in Scorpio(Mars ruled), there is a tendency to cut oneself down or be unable to receive the full accolades that are due to one. But this is an internal struggle.

There could be a continuous struggle to "prove' ones worth. Work harder for recognition and never being satisfied with what one has. Or wanting things just outside of one's scope.

Then you consider other aspects to Venus before you move into the next house and do the same.....

Planets are the what, houses are the where in relation to the area of life, signs are the how what ever energy is being used. Uranus second house aries for example. Sporadic energy, individuality, change, in second house values, money, material objects possesions, in aries agressive, assertive maybe physical, selfish etc.

The least important is the sign of a planet or house (unless unaspected/empty)

Look at planets' and houses' aspects and house placements. These are the most important. You could understand my personality just by looking at these and I've found this to be accurate for eveyrone else's chart.

Tightest aspects are usually felt stronger.

When a planet is in a house and conjucts the next one then that planet affects both houses. Don't underestimate house placements.

If a house is empty/unaspected thenncheck at its sign and ruler's condition (sign, aspects, house placement).
Same goes for an unaspected planet.

Aspects wider than 6 orbs most of the time aren't felt at all by the native, their influence wil be weak or if felt strongly thennit's probably due to another aspect/placement giving similar effect.

Check declinations. I've found them to be accurate everytime.

If you read a few charts of people you know well you'll be surprised and you'll figure it out yourself eventually. Little experience is 100 times better than a lot of theory.

In your case is like you have triple Leo energy in your 2nd H.
Sun in Leo is strong since Sun rules Leo
2nd H is ruled by your Sun. Which is positive since your Sun is strong by sign. If your Sun was in Pisces things wouldn't be good that good for your 2nd H (money, materials, value, self-worth). However if your Sun is afflicted by Saturn then you Sun even though it's in Leo will be greatly affected by Saturn lowering someone's self esteem for example and giving your 2nd H a hard time since Sun affects it by both being in there and ruling it.
