I know fire-dominant people are usually straightforward, able to speak their mind and outgoing, but surely there are aspects and planets in non-fire signs that also denote an outgoing person.IP: Logged |

Emphasis on the northern hemisphere of the natal chart. I have a lot of air in my chart, which would normally suggest an outgoing, sociable, extroverted person. However, because I am dominant in the southern hemisphere (specifically 4th house), I'm none of the traits I've mentioned. Homebody, introverted, keeps to myself, opens up more around close friends. Electro.. Hemispheres are visually reversed. Southern Hemisphere is the top-half of the circle chart. The "daytime" part of the chart. Northern Hemisphere is the bottom-half "night time". MC is "noon" high noon IC is the "midnight" hour ASC is Horizon for Sunrise DESC is Horizon as the Sun sets "The Southern Hemisphere is comprised of Houses 7 through 12—the upper half of the chart (above the horizon). This is the social, objective, and collective portion of the chart. People with the majority of planets found in the Southern hemisphere tend to be more objective, sociable, and concerned with “outside” events, whether they affect them on a personal level or not." - http://cafeastrology.com/articles/hemisphereemphasis.html Same goes for the right side and the left side of the chart, if you draw a line from MC down to IC. Left side of chart is Eastern half .. ASC Sun rises in the east. Right side of chart is Western half .. DESC The Sun sets in the western sky. SOUTH, and WEST are the more Other-oriented part of the sky. NORTH and EASTERN half are more inward focused.

Ohh I see. Ahh Then in that case I'm dominant in the Northern hemisphere as most of my planets are at the bottom of my chart. IP: Logged |

"People with a preponderance of planets in the Northern hemisphere tend to be private and more subjective." -- Cafeastrology I have 8 planets above the horizon (Southern Hemisphere), with 2 planets in Northern hemisphere. Sun is just-below the DESC, and have Venus in the 5th. Have 6 planets in the South-Western-Quadrant part of my chart -- H 9, 8, 7. Moon Virgo in the 9th near the MC. Throughout my life I have been a very out-going person! I have also been a careful caring watcher of folks who seem a little less social than others, and I draw them out and try to help them connect socially-- make them feel included (basically). Even as a child, I had no problems walking up to strangers and striking up a conversation. Everyone felt like my 'friend', or like the 'friend I haven't met yet.' There's another side-- A lot of people would be surprised to know that there is a very shy part of me inside, too. It's easy for me to connect others to Others-- but harder for 'me' as an individual self to feel as though I am accepted and fit-in with other people.

My planets are all above the horizon as well, but all my life I've been very shy. I have no planets below the horizon. My 7th and 10th are actually my two dominant houses and the 10th house is the "most seen" and the 7th house is about other people so you'd think I'd for sure be a natural people person always making friends but nope IP: Logged |

I have a mix of both. I can interchange very easily between outgoing and inwards. I don't believe in dividing people in "extrovert" vs "introvert". I think that type of labels are harmful. I have a balance of all elements in my chart. I don't mind being alone and like both interacting and being alone. I need a balance of both to feel good. And I believe humans are wired like this anyway. We are all introverts and need seclusion to recharge our batteries, also we need human interactions. Some just enjoy interacting with people and expressing themselves outwardly more then others. It does not mean they feel "recharched" by it. All humans needs attention. Some maybe just never had good enough experience from getting attention so they may feel uneasy bc of that. Anyways, just my thoughts. IP: Logged |

Lots of Gemini/Mercury/3rd house should make for an outgoing person too I think. Depending a bit on placements, aspects and house cusps of course... but Gemini is essentially a very social sign. Personally I'm a mix. I'm outgoing but I also need my alone time. I have an equal number of planets above and below the horizon, and I'm also quite balanced as far as elements and modes. Gemini Sun in the 9th, Mercury (and Mars) conjunct Midheaven, 3rd house stellium, Jupiter in Aries 7th... But also Moon in 12th and Neptune conjunct IC, which I view as more introverted placements. Capricorn 7th and Pisces 10th... that might explain the shyness. My chart ruler the Moon is in the 7th hoyse in shy Capricorn. The Aries/Libra axis is intercepted (Aries is supposed to be my 10th/Libra my 4th); however, my two dominant signs are Aries and Capricorn. I've got a 10th house Aries Venus, Aries Mercury and Aries Juno and my Taurus sun is exactly conjunct my 11th house cusp and on the Aries/Taurus cusp since I was born April 22nd making my sun at 2 degrees Taurus. That could explain it. Gemini is my 12th house and I have zero Gemini planets. Jupiter is in my 3rd house Virgo and Jupiter is in detriment in Virgo. My Mercury is in my 10th in Aries. In Vedic astrology my rising sign is Gemini though... but it's ruler Mercury is in Pisces in Vedic astrology. IP: Logged |

I only have one air planet haha. I'm earth dominant. That could also explain why I'm not talkative. IP: Logged |

I would think Sun/Mercury, Asc/Mercury or Moon/Mercury related aspects as well as placements.I say this because of Mercury's curious nature. And how a desire to experience can push even inwardly timid people to be restless and want to explore a lot Moon in Gem for novelty and refreshment Sun in Gem for clarity of perspective Asc in Gem for pure adventure and curiosity. I have Moon in 3rd closely conjunct the Ic. I feel both like a homebody(Ic) and a curious person. Since my Moon is in Cancer, my motivation for going out there is supported by safety considerations. Oh but i get so restless staying put(3rd) for log that i end up just going anywhere and attending anything. So long as its with someone or people i feel familiar with(Cancer). North node in Gemini in 2nd suggests that there is much self esteem (2nd) to be built through opening my mind up to novelty and experiences(Gemini).

Gemini placements as some mentioned would help, IF the planet is not aspecting Saturn, Pluto and its alike. The sign will always be last. Aspects and house placements, and lastly the sign so the sign is often very modified.Unless its not a double whammy of some kind, like "moon in aries in 1th house", or Moon in gemini in 3rd house etc. Even then if they are aspecting Saturn for ex, forget it. That gem energy will be severely modified (talking from own experience) IP: Logged |

So I guess Gemini placements are where it's at. I have zero Gemini planets plus Gemini is my 12th house and the 12th house is hidden things... My Mercury is in Aries and I have been known to be a loudmouth with no problem telling someone off if they cross me, especially at work (it's in my 10th house), but overall I have rarely ever been the social butterfly at a job.My mom is Leo dominant and has a Gemini Mercury and is Cancer rising like me and she's very outgoing and social and able to make friends easily, unlike me lol. I have a strongly Fire dominant chart and I'm very outgoing... so Fire placements 🔥As for Air energy I only have Gemini Mars and Aquarius North Node 🤷🏻♀️ IP: Logged |

I have my Gemini Sun in opposition to Saturn in the 3rd but I haven't really found that to be detrimental to the outgoing parts of my nature at all. I'm extremely focused on speaking clearly, on being very specific, so as to make myself as perfectly understood as possible. Communication barriers are the biggest cause of frustration in life for me, so I make sure that at least my own words can't be misunderstood. I think that's the influence of my Saturn. My outgoing nature is very Gemini at least, and the more introverted parts of me seem to have other causes.
